@Tyvokka The site has cleared porting, but where do you stand on the all important issue of jailbait mods?
  2. 2 points
Yeah, I don't like where this thread is headed. I'm going to lock it now.

What's this? Lips that don't clip? Could it be there was absolutely nothing wrong with the animations and they were just missing keyframes that do nothing? Could it be I have to go through every weapon idle and fidget animation to place keyframes that don't actually do anything? Yeah, that sounds like KOTOR.

This is basically just a drop in override mod for the vanilla masks of KoToR. With one exception: Tetas Royal Band Restored By Darth Insidious is required before that one will work. I included it because it is a vanilla mask, but it was hidden in the game files. All models and textures are overhauled. Some more than others. Even if the model does not look different by much there has been a lot of time and effort put into tweaking the UVs and editing the models to be smoother without adding too many polys. I wanted to release three of the masks as helmets, however those will be added later in an optional expansion of this mod. TODO: Fix some things about the textures such as glowing things that should be glowing, and add new replacement icons. If there are any model problems i will gladly fix them and re-up the whole archive. New file in addition to the main file is the icons for the new masks. Thanks to djh269 for offering to make these icons and send them to me. A huge help. That leaves trying to figure out some issues with reflection for some of the masks, and maybe a few animations that are supposedly supposed to be on them. Stay tuned for more great updates in the future!

This is intended to be the last beta, if everything checks out I'm uploading it as mdledit v1.1.0. This version has a completely redone vertex normal and tangent space vector calculation algorithm, which also affects smoothing group calculations. Generally, mdledit will calculate the intra-mesh normals correctly, it will calculate those inter-mesh normals where only two vertices overlap correctly, but where more vertices overlap, it's more likely to fail. I can't spend more time on figuring out how to calculate those right now, but there will probably be improvements in the future, just like this was an improvement now. When compiling models there should be no issues however, inter-mesh smoothing really does work now. Some crash issues are also fixed, one that I found myself and one that DP encountered with the K1 endgame area models. mdledit_v1.0.9b.zip mdledit_v1.0.9b_xp.zip

@A Future Pilot recently made her put clothes on when she's talking to her brother. I think that will balance out the karma.

On my end, accessing the "edit" button seems to work there. And then there will be a "Poll" tab beside the "Content" tab.

Hey Obi Wan Pere, so looking at the files the only issue of incompatiblity is the "tat18_10tanis_01." This file has a vanilla bug, which k1r fixes. I believe I fixed the issue as well. I would suggest installing k1r and then this mod, and you can choose whether you want to keep k1r's version of this file or mine. Mine will allow a little continuity with your decisions regarding the conversation with Marlena. Because of how little k1r changes this file, I would recommend going with Kill Marlena's version, but that's up to you. Regardless of which file you choose, it will not result in any crash or cause substantial harm to your experience. And you can still experience most of Kill Marlena without tat18_10tanis_01. To fully answer your question, yes it is compatible with k1r, but you'll have to choose which file you want to keep. No it is not listed in the k1r comp list, because I did not request it to be added, nor has that list been updated recently. Additionally, we have a file option listed on each mod for k1 to reveal whether it is k1r compatible; I thought I had it listed as compatible, but clearly I didn't. I hope that clears up some things. Hope this helps!

No change to upcrystals.2da, you should be good to go.

A supermodel is a model with animations on it. The model (in this case Sith assassin) is parented to a supermodel (in this case S_Female02) and gets all its animations from that. Most models don't have animations on them and instead get them from the stock set of 5 supermodels so they all have all the animations available on those models. Because efficiency and such. Misunderstanding. You don't need to put the supermodels in Override as they're already in the game. And copying binary models from one game to another is bad, as you've experienced. However, MDLOps needs a binary MDL/MDX supermodel in order to properly compile any body model. So when you compile, you need to have: a) The ASCII model file you're compiling b) The binary MDL file for the supermodel your model uses c) The corresponding MDX file for the supermodel source - all in the same location. MDLOps will then generate the new MDL and MDX model files for your model that you want to put in Override. The issue here, though, is that you get different results depending on what you decide to use as your supermodel. This is where the approach turns into a sledgehammer, but what I would suggest in this case is extracting S_Female02.mdl/mdx from both games and try compiling the assassin models twice, using each one as your source supermodel.

"It has been some time"- Kreia Long time no see. With my Kotor Tool fixed I can now continue my modding with GenoHaradan Legacy. As some of you may know porting is now allowed between K1 and TSL and vice versa. If some of you remember, I plan to include Selkath in my mod and they were going to use one of the cut "generic alien" VO as this one specific VO sample sounds very out of place with the "generic alien" VO, however, should I include the original K1 Selkath VO or should I still use this single "generic alien" VO. I may make a comparison video soon!

Hey guys, so i made up a bunch (50) of kotor/tsl cubemaps for you guys to use, one of them (CM_PulseGlow) is animated. The usual disclaimers and stuff apply. Happy Modding!

What does this mod do exactly?

Yeh it would be nice to know how the compatibility is with some of the other mods, maybe more so K1 restoration. Hopefully some of the more experienced modders can share their thoughts.

Thank you to all who have taken the time to view my content. I give permission to use my mods in any future projects with the appropriate credit. This mod alters regeneration.2da to add out of combat automatic vitality regeneration as seen in TSL to K1 by using the TSL Patcher. Changes All characters will now regenerate vitality automatically when not engaged in combat.

Hello there ! How are you guys doing ? I visited this gem of a place multiple times to see what great mods were made but I'm ashamed that I never presented myself. I'm a long time Star Wars fan, especially of KOTOR era, but also of mods which bring a new breath to video games. Other than that, I would say that I'm an easy-going and chill kind of guy, Don't really know what else to say about myself, so I'll see on the forums to discuss games and everything else, have a nice day/evening fellas.

Considering it lacks an installer... I'd say you'd be lucky if it was if you installed Ord Mandell first (If K1R was installed first, which I bet for you it is, forget about it). It is incompatible by about four essential files. I'd say find the K1R files in your override, move them to your desktop, install Mandell, once you are finished uninstall Mandell and put your K1R files back. I'd like to point out ZM90 hasn't been active since 2017, chances of mods being added to the list in this thread (At least added by ZM90) is 0%.

As I've said the initial post of the thread doesn't even have that option. My theory: It has something to do with the new update.
