I still don't get the assumption that there were any development plans to allow T3-M4 to be recruited early. Canderous Ordo's line: "But that little T3 unit you got from Janice should be good enough to get the job done" can be heard in the unmodded game normally if you purchase the droid and immediately go to Javyar's cantina to ask Canderous again what you need to do. It was added for him to not to tell you to purchase a droid at this point when he can clearly see you already have one.

Not the mod author, but I can tell you it's because you already completed Tatooine on that save. Basically, you can't modify a module after you've already visited it in a save (with very few exceptions). But that being said: you can just use the cheat code "warp m19aa" to teleport to the start of the Tatooine temple, just past the entrance within the Krayt cave. Have fun!

View File Quanon & Dark Hope Twi'lek Pack A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic Author: N-DReW25 1.0.0 Release Date: 18.07.2026 Installation: Please install the K1 Community Patch FIRST before this mod! Simply click on the HoloPatcher.exe, click install, and sit back and watch the HoloPatcher do its magic! Description: On January 4th 2017 the modder Dark Hope released her HD Twilek female 1 mod which updates the female Twi'lek appearance textures with high quality HD textures. On March 1st 2017 the modder Quanon would then release his Quanons Twilek Outfits mod which added high quality HD dancer outfit textures for the female Twi'leks. With Quanon's mod, the idea is that you would install Dark Hope's textures first and then his mod on top to create a sort of HD hybrid between the two textures. But on January 21st 2023 Dark Hope would go on to update her HD Twilek female 1 mod with new textures that used DarthParametric's K1 Thigh-High Boots For Female Twi'lek Body Modder's Resource. Since both Quanon and Dark Hope have given modders permission to use their mods with proper credit given to them, I have decided to take their Twi'lek textures and make a pack which would allow you to use all three mods at once without having to pick one or the other. Dark Hope's HD Twilek female mod from 2017 will replace the three generic Twi'lek female appearances with HD textures for their outfits and heads. 4 new Twi'lek appearances have been added which use the default Twi'lek heads but use Quanons Twilek Outfits for their outfits. 3 new Twi'lek appearances have been added which use Dark Hope's HD Twilek female mod from 2023 which add new outfit textures with Thigh-High Boots and head textures. With this mod installed, there are now 10 Twi'lek female variations that each use a combination of Quanon's textures, Dark Hope's 2017 textures, and Dark Hope's 2023 textures. Known Bugs: This mod shouldn't have any bugs but if you find any please report them to me. Incompatibilities: Incompatible with DarthParametric's K1 Thigh-High Boots For Female Twi'lek Body Modder's Resource (it is also included in the mod). Just to reiterate slightly. This mod utilizes a modified asset from the community-maintained SWBF2 Mod Tools SDK 2020 available at ModDB, alongside original assets from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Full credit goes to the original developers, artists, and respective intellectual property rights holders (Lucasfilm, Pandemic Studios, and BioWare). To expand upon this the .msh and .tga were obtained from SWBF2 Mod Tools SDK 2020 available at ModDB, which was from my understanding derived from vanilla assets from Star Wars Battlefront II 2005. the .msh was then modified in a process as documented in the posted YouTube video, the original skeleton being stripped away and it being parented to an existing Kotor mdl's bones and being weighted accordingly. There are also several more steps such as editing the .ascii file, and editing the hand hooks slightly. Anyone who would like to use this mod in their projects has my permission. I have just submitted an update that should fix the above mentioned bug that caused parts of the character model the appear invisible. I am not sure what to do about the clipping through the floor upon death for now though. But update should be live soon. I do not have KOTOR 2 rn so cannot be much help with issues regarding porting between the games unfortunately.

Looks like that did the trick. I went into appearance.2da and for the model I was using (P_MAL_B_LRG_01) the modelj and texj entries are set to N_BandModel and N_SpecialRobe respectively. Taking these models out of the override crashes the game if you try to put them on, but changing the entries in the appearance 2da file to PMBJL (modelj) and PMBJ (texj) changes the models to their original. Then you can take out the texture files from the override to make them look like their original colors. Thanks for the help on this! -

Did you check the appearance.2da? I never really played around with the Yavin mod for KOTOR1, so I'm not sure what exactly it changed. It could also be that the mdl mdx files were changed. I think pmbjm is the model name. Look at what modelj and texj are set to in the appearance.2da. under one of the player models (So P_FEM_C_LRG_04 for example for a female or P_MAL_C_LRG_01 for a male example) If it says "pmbjm" then it probably sounds like the mdl/mdx needs to be removed from the override along with the approriate texture files (pmbj01 and pmbj02, probably) -

We are not owed an explanation and the development of this modification touches me only tangentially, but I also find it very curious to drop development a few hours after publishing the first version and having shared detailed development plans. I am sure JuniorModder has his more than valid reasons for it, though. Thanks for the work done, JM!

This may come as a disappointment to some, and good news to others, but I've decided to leave this project and let other modders use the module to make their own versions and tell their own stories. I had a lot of fun working on it and learned a lot from it, and I am grateful for the positive reception and enthusiasm from the KotOR community, and it will be exciting to see what other modders can create with it. Hopefully the walkmesh and cave models can be repaired. Anyone is free to use all of the files in the mod however they wish, the only things I really added to it aside from the bare bones level design were the minimap and loading screen. I hope that my words and ideas expressed in this thread and the original mod can serve as inspiration and guidance to the ones who will pick up where I left off. Thank you for downloading! JM
