Blog #8 - What makes a mod successful?
milestails commented on Sith Holocron's blog entry in Sith Holocron's Blog
Mods are successful to the extent that the author deems them successful. It is a labor of love, and if the author believes in their work, then I am on board with it too. -
Here's something quite unique! Points for originality!

Here is what my 4 CD TSL looks like: -
This is gorgeous work. I can't say it enough.
-
Just a surface observation: This is a KotOR mod, not a TSL mod. Sandpeople Disguise Drop Fix http://www.nexusmods...kotor/mods/51/?

Just returned from Memorial Day Weekend in Vegas. Saw my fair share of Wookies and Stormtroopers.

Are the end results the same for the new Flawless fix and the WSGF method?

Download:Saber Colors Overhaul animated - SWTOR Edition
milestails replied to Jorak Uln's topic in Mod Releases
"Compatibility: Should be compatible with the major LS overhauls. Since these focus mainly on the hilts, i recommend to install them first, then my mod and override if necessary." You mean the blades right? I like this a lot! Bringing TOR content into KotOR is a good thing in my book! -
The Black Vulkars....don't actually wear black.....

Now that starwarsknights and lucasforums are down again, this raises the question of what else of long term value on those sites might be a good candidate for saving for the long term. This isn't the first time that LF has gone down as we all know too well. I fear the day when LF will go down and will not come back up again. As the years go by, that becomes more of a realistic possibility especially with the decline in traffic over there. Perhaps there are modding threads or tutorials or mods even that are worth backing up somewhere. Thoughts anyone?

Blog #8 - What makes a mod successful?
milestails commented on Sith Holocron's blog entry in Sith Holocron's Blog
How do we define 'successful?' As far as the second question: Mods work for me if they fix or correct an issue that Bioware or Obsidian left behind. Those are automatic downloads for me. For those mods not intended to fix anything, they just have to be consistent with my vision for KotOR/TSL. I tend to be in the middle between conservative and liberal usage of mods. Mods don't work for me if they don't fit with my vision for KotOR / TSL. The devil is in the details to get a download from me. -
I direct you to the venerable Windows Vista/7 thread on LucasForums: http://lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=194324 Long process but it's something worth trying I think.

Michael is so busy with his traveling around the world. He's just a busy man. Plus these videos take a while to make because he has to learn all of this stuff himself, and really know what he's talking about.

I've learned so much from it and gotten book recommendations out of it too. So captivating.

Yes it feels like there is more depth.

Best version of the game to buy?

Yes it does. I have the 4-CD KotOR and TSL. They're not sold retail anymore though. -
Hey that's pretty neat!
-
I always saw the fall colors of Dantooine in K1 and the greenery of K2 as appropriate to reflect changing seasons.
