  1. I'm so hyped about modding! I've been learning, and smashing my head against the keyboard for three days straight. Hardly even eating... wow... Stayed up to five a.m. two of those days... Anyways, just wanted to let the community know how thankful I am. Deadlystream is an amazing place, most people are kind/helpful. The rest I haven't seem to run into yet..... there might be one out there idk. ^^ To anyone who reads this... HAVE A NICE DAY! Shanilia Grey Jedi Merchant mod still does not have a release date But an early estimate puts the release date somewhere around March 10th, most likely before that. If you would like to beta test that, please message me or leave a comment. I'll need/want someone to beta test eventually, not yet though. Note to self: put on WIP thread about beta tester.... Further note to self: Don't give up! Moving back to you, it doesn't matter how old my mods get. Please post feedback on the reviews! Save Mission was an idea Darth'a'Barbar had, though I edited it and came up with all the dialogue choices. He deserves credit for the idea! Enslave Zaalbar was inspired by my procrastination (and Save Mission) to tackle this massive dlg file that I will have to create mabye a dozen scripts for and learn how to make the VOs have lips moving. Thankfully, bead-v wrote me a tutorial. Yebb Yebbb Dddbbddd - That's all folks!

Idk how long it will take to get the VO and lips to work cohesively. Nor how long it will take to write the necessary scripts. Also, how to properly organize the dialogue so you don't have the same conversations over and over and over again, or the player doesn't get buried in dialogue without a way to leave. Really, just have to make an understandable "map" of the dialogue for players to get acquainted with. Any and all feedback is appreciated, and I mean this!
  5. Hey FS, I've been trying to create a script that "fires" on the first converstation with an NPC Then using that script to determine "Node availability." From what I read on holowan labs there's a default script for it using k_act_talktrue, k_con_talkedto , and k_contalked2, but I can't seem to get anything to work. What Function would you recommend I that use?

I've been locked up in my room working on SHanilia mod, as FS would say "pounding my head against the keyboard trying to get script to work." It's been great, I'm actually about to update my WIP thread with some images, now that i've realized how i can do that...

      I thought it was a bit unclear on some things but it does come with instructions. I'm sure there's people here that can answer any question you may have, just make a post

      The instructions coming with TSLPatcher are a good starting point though. Just make sure to read them from the beginning if you're new to it.

  9. So this would increase incompatibility issues and idk how to do this yet, but should I add a journal update(s)? The idea is that it would remind players to go back and speak with Shanilia after specific events. Especially, the last two conversations you have with Shanilia. Spoiler Shanilia ends up on the Star Forge depending on your conversation choices.

    Saved Game Wanted!

    Yeah, I've heard of something like that as well, but I haven't tried it out yet either. Thanks for the offer but I already have that. I guess I'll just speed run through a planet.
  11. Does anyone happen to have a save game that includes the following information: PC just finished 3rd planet, and moving on to the fourth planet. Has not gone to the planet of Manaan, even the landing zone on the planet surface! I need Manaan to be the fourth planet. I'm working on Shanilia Grey Jedi Merchant Mod, and I'm testing out my dlg file. Inside the dlg file are different scripts to check for "availability of node," I want to find out which ones work. Before you ask, I have checked the files in SavedGames forums. It's the third planet for djh269, which has been very helpful, but I require it to be the fourth.
  12. Yeah, I've always assumed Jolee knew because of his connection to the force. Somehow the Force revealed that to him, he said that he recognized Revan immediately, mabye from a vision? If I make the mod any larger with a quest, I think I would lose interest or fail. But I will keep this in mind. I do, however, have a unique use for the Jedi Holocron. I plan to fully add alignment shifts and checks regarding this sort of thing. You and I seem to think alike, I will add different choices to explain your identity crisis. As mentioned above, I think Jolee was given a Force vision. He knew that Revan was going to have a great destiny; he was more certain than Revan was about Revan, even after he/she found out. Recently, I've added Mandalorian armor to the list of items and changed the look of the Mandalorian Commander on Kashyyyk to that new look. I've also learned a lot more about scripting that hopefully will allow me to finish this mod! The next major obstacle is testing out scripts, dialogue editing, and figuring out which scripts can be registered as (idk how to put this) already been fired to determine if certain dialogue trees are available. If you have an idea about something that should be added to the mod, feel free to share it!

  16. Using the kotor tool when editing the properties of a uti file, you can save/load the xml which saves the edited properties. Otherwise, I have almost no clue what XML files are. Ohh, so it's a matter of setting things in order.. I did not find that anywhere... Thank you Edit: Didn't work. I changed it to 509, no mods installed, 509 would be a new entry. Tested it out by changing the UTC appearance to 509 for several mandalorians on (kas_m25aa) Kashyyyk lower shadowlands. Must be an issue with the 2da entry? I only changed the race text and texa to N_Mandalorian09. following the advice given by someone at Holowan lab, somehow the above link doesn't work.. Though it just worked five minutes ago...
  17. Could someone help me out? I'm attempting to add another line in the appearance.2da file. I'll attach it as a zip file so you can see what I've attempted. I've spent the last 5 hours reading tutorials and threads on deadlystream and Holowan labs (using the internet archive). However, I cannot be sure I've successfully added a new line to the appearance.2da. I believe I have though. I want to use the newly added 2da line to change the look of a custom uti file allowing a PC or party member to wear the new uti with the new appearance. The issue arises is that, I am adding N_Mandalorian09 and my attempts to edit the XML file to a disguise have failed.. My changes to the appearance.2da do not show up. Therefore, I cannot make a uti recognize the disguise N_Mandalorian09. (I have learned how to test out the N_Mandalorian09 by giving it to a UTC, and I found out it does not work.) I've tried exporting the XML file editing it manually to show the disguise as N_Manadalorian09 instead of the default N_Mandalorian01, and then loading it back. This did not work. N_Mandalorian09 is the Appearance.2da line. Also, I have a N_Mandalorian09.tga test image. The goal is to add more wearable Mandalorian armor to k1.   19. Yes, that is indeed the plan! For the PC to say he/she is Revan. (following the events at the Leviathan that is)
  20. You would think that, yet Revan's identity was destroyed his force presence has shifted, else everyone who ever knew him would recognize him. Feeling someone in the Force is not as cut and dry as people think, besides why did the entire jedi enclave at Dantooine not know he was Revan? Only the Jedi Counsel knew, and only because of information given by Bastila. From what I've seen in the movies and read in the "legends" cannon intimate knowledge of a person is required to sense their identity. Shanilia was not an intimate friend to Revan; therefore, she would not recognize his presense. In addition, none of the dark jedi (sith) Revan knew during the Mandalorian Wars, that you fight on each planet in groups of threes, do not recognize you. The only one that recognizes REvan by is presence is Jolee Bindo. So i believe Shanilia not knowing who Revan is, is plausible.
  21. As N-Drew25 mentioned, Shanilia did not meet Revan before the Massacre at Cathar. Therefore, she has not seen Revan without his mask, which he acquired after surveying the remains of genocide on Cathar. I'm dreadfully sorry I didn't make the gender clear, but Shanilia is a lady. At the moment, I have no dialogue concerning Malak written. Nor does Malak come up in her backstory, though Revan does and another iconic character from the kotors era. As to your second question, Shanilia is meditating on Manaan, (working as a shop keeper to pay the bills), to discern how a Grey Jedi should approach the Jedi Civil War. Revan's death plays a part in shaping her current situation. I'm going in a direction similar to this, but I'm not focusing on the "premium items." You are 100% correct about Revan's Mask being the reason Shanilia doesn't recognize Revan. Also, Shanilia is a lady. I'm curious why everyone thought Shanilia would be a guy's name. Update: Shanilia is about 55% done, I think. 1. Word count has been increased to roughly 6,500 and has been proofread, though can't be certain I didn't miss anything yet. 2. I had an issue with the git file for manm26ab, causing an issue blocking the PC from returning to the module, (PC would be arrested for breaking into the Sith Embassy and sent to Jail. It was on permanent loop sadly) 3. Switched shops and modules to fix this issue, since my modding skills/knowledge do not know how to deal with this issue. 4. Tyvark is the character I am going to change, he's the shopkeeper outside of the Republic Embassy. So far, I have managed to fix or solve any problems that I had with the last module, which is great! 5. I understand the different emotions portrayed in Ryl Voice overs and found the master list of VO's. 6. Still have the same issues with Mando'a blade and the Bothan Stunner, though the Bothan Stunner might be something I choose not to do. 7. Add Jedi Holocron made by InSidious found on DS in Modder's Resource category. 8. Wrote "Mandalore's" datapad, the self proclaimed leader of the Mandalorians you run into on Kashyyyk that ties into Shanilia's backstory. 9. Working on Shanilia's datapad to explain backstory and details not divulged in during dialogue with PC. 10. A unique look for both datapads' icons have been made. 11. Might attempt custom VO for a small scene depending on the quality I can get, done by a friend. All in all, things are coming along at a decent pace. I'm just glad someone noticed this WIP thread!
