I really like these ideas. The first part could very well be used for side quests and to make the areas more lively. And the second part sounds like an awesome storyline for the planet. Basically all you do in TSL is searching for Jedi, so maybe it'd even be possible to have some rumors on other planets that state that a Jedi has been seen on Coruscant. And then you get the quest to search for this "new" Jedi and in order to track him down you venture to the Jedi temple where you find clues, just as you said. But in the end it turns out to be someone who tries to lure Jedi out of hiding in order to kill them (maybe a Mandalorian who tries to get revenge for the Mandalorian Wars?). I would like this boss to be a non-force user to get some diversity into the game.

I think I can understand both concepts for what Taris should look like but I think I also lean towards having even the richer parts (Upper City) look mediocre compared to Coruscant for example. That doesn't include Daviks estate of course. Maybe you could have a concept for Taris in its entirety (e.g. ornamented metal decorated with leather) and then in the really rich parts (Daviks estate) you'd see that in it's full glory just like on your screenshots. In the Upper City you'd still see that the people have money but there are no more ornaments on the leather and everything looks a bit older and used (i.e. take away the ornamented parts^^). They could still have holotrees etc. but it shouldn't look like they're super wealthy. And then there's the Undercity of course where the leather etc. is obviously no longer present but I think it'd be super awesome if the Undercity looked as if it was once where the rich people lived until they built new homes on top of it. And now the once beautiful places are dirty and rundown while still having that ornamented metal style (or whatever you choose). Long story short: Have a general concept for the planet and then show how different parts of the planet have different amounts of money Other than that, I also prefer V3.

An expansion is hardly possible without changing anything he did but I suppose in the end the expansion should mainly alter his modules to allow access to new modules created by the expansion. Or maybe add details to his modules but it would probably be safer to ask him before starting to do anything. But landing and take-off videos should be fine as an expansion just like the original "Jedi Temple Expansion" or whatever that add-on mod is called^^ And I really like where you're going already I also though about continuity between the videos and the actual game. Maybe we could collaborate to make the videos and the skybox. If you want to, my idea would be that I'd make a skybox with only sky (or possibly some very distant buildings) that you can use for the videos and for the actual in-game skybox we could use the same sky and the city-scape that you built for the videos already so that it matches in the end. I don't know if it's possible to export the entire scene as one model or what happens if you try to do so and then import it to TG but it would provide the best continuity possible.

Ah, that's a shame. I'll check it out anyway

Do you get that sword during regular gameplay or do you have to use cheats to obtain it?

I'd like to request a new armor model for Mandalore in TSL. First of all I'd like him to wear Mandalore's traditional mask as it is Canon that he got that one from Revan. But then I'd also like him to have new armor that fits the style of the mask and combines the look of the Mandalorian armors seen in the game with the more ornamented armors worn by prievous Mandalores. All of that is not set in stone of course but a general idea of what I'd like to see, so if anyone wants to make this mod please get creative I'll put those on my list of small mods that I want to make, but it'll probably take some time until I get them done so if anyone wants to make them, feel free to do so.

File Name: Dantooine Training Lightsabers File Submitter: Kexikus File Submitted: 25 Sep 2015 File Category: Mods K1R Compatible: Yes This mod replaces the longswords used during the training sequence with lightsabers, as it is seen in the movies that even younglings train with those. The mod uses no scripts and you don't have to give yourself the lightsaber proficiency feat with KSE or something similar. Additionally you won't have the annoying humming sound present when simply replacing the training saber with a lightsaber. Installation: Simply let TSL Patcher do its magic. It should find your KotOR installation automatically. If it doesn't and you have to select it manually, choose the folder that includes swkotor.exe. Do NOT delete the backup folder that is created during the installation, you'll need it if you ever want to uninstall this mod. Uninstallation: Delete dan13_practice.uti from your Override folder. Then copy baseitems.2da from the backup folder created while installing this mod to your Override and replace the one that is already there. Skip this step if you installed any mods that also alter baseitems.2da after this one. This mod will not be fully uninstalled in that case but every effect it has on the game will be gone as intended. If there is no baseitems.2da in your backup folder, simply delete the one in your Override folder (unless you installed another mod editing it later). Compabilitiy: Thanks to TSLPatcher this mod is compatible with everything that does not edit the training saber (dan13_practice.uti) Changelog: 1.0 Initial release Credits: Mod by Kexikus TSL Patcher by stoffe THIS MOD IS NOT SUPPORTED BY LUCASARTS OR BIOWARE. USE THIS FILE AT YOUR OWN RISK. NEITHER THE AUTHOR OF THIS MOD NOR THE COMPANIES MENTIONED ABOVE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER WHEN USING THIS FILE. Click here to download this file

Could also be some kind of incompability between your mods even though I can't see any right now. If you want more answers, please post the questions (and answers obviously) from this thread here: http://deadlystream.com/forum/topic/2390-read-me-second-information-for-those-posting-errors-glitches/ Also include links to all mods you have installed.

If you do it right, it'll probably work. But no guarantees on that. Just make a backup of your installation and try it

Most textures are simply placed into the Override folder and only some exceptions require the use of XnView. I know only of Jorak Ulns texture packs and Xediis older packs. But in general, read the readme / description and do whatever it says and if there's no readme just copy them to the Override and everything should be fine.

Sleheyron was a planned to be in KotOR but gut scrapped pretty early in development so there is not much left in the files. There are however some screenshots from early in the development that show what Sleheyron would look like and AFAIK this project tries to make Sleheyron as close to what is known as possible but will of course need to make almost everything from scratch.

Why it's not okay to upload someone else's mods
Kexikus replied to Xuul's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
If that's really the case, then there's a chance that you could convince her to stop using your textures. I really hope this works out better than it did with the mushroom guy... -
I recently bought the CD version of Shadows of the Empire and today I managed to install it. As I was too young when the game was first released, I've never played it. Wish me luck

I sadly can't help you and from what I've heard about Skyrim mods Russian sites aren't exactly known for being kind to modders rights :/ I hope that's just an unwarranted generalization and not true in your case. It's also a real shame that this modder is stealing your work as her other textures look really good and I feel like she could make a great texture pack on her own (assuming those other textures aren't stolen, but I don't think they are, as there are skybox textures in there and I know of no skybox pack they could be stolen from^^). -
The original plan was to splice Juhanis original dialogue to make the new lines. And for some lines that'd work pretty well, if they're close enough to vanilla lines. But considering how long it took to make the two lines for Carth and those for Mission you can hear in the video, I don't think that this way is going to work. There will be too many lines for that. So I hope that I'll be able to record the new lines without them sounding completely different. If that doesn't work out either, I'm not sure what I'll do :/

I agree about the towers, they look better now. In general I think that our visions for what the Upper City should look like are quite different. I wouldn't go for the animated signs, neon trees, etc. but instead keep it simple and peaceful and that's where my comments about the floor tiles came from. So, I'll just wait for further progress on your end to know better what you're going for
-
You might be right about that, I don't know^^ You could try V2 with reduced contrast as some kind of compromise, maybe that looks good. About the colour: I agree that the look should be metallic grey but only grey is pretty boring so it needs some kind of colour touch I think. And I absolutely love the atmosphere created by the yellow touch in the version you sent me a while back. It just gives such a great feeling of peace, compared to the blue/pink-ish vanilla style. That's why I think the new floor in V1 is too blue and the one in V2 too pink.
-
I prefer version 1. Version 2 just seems too busy (not sure if that's the right word) but I think the simpler patterns from V1 work better. But in both cases I'd go back to a slightly more yellow colour scheme as you had before.

My Projects In the Pipeline (mostly texture related)
Kexikus replied to Malkior's topic in Work In Progress
Glad I could help you But now I'm wondering how you managed to get 1024x1024. Isn't the maximum resolution lower than that? Anyway, great work with those skyboxes. I especially love the Dantooine terrain. One minor suggestion I have is that you edit the .are files for Korriban and Dantooine to change the fog colour so that the ingame fog matches your skybox. Doing that is pretty easy and can make a huge difference. (I could describe the exact way if necessary). @ Jorak Uln: I don't think that using DOF is a good idea for skyboxes. I can't really explain why but I don't think it'd look good. Fog might be something to experiment with, but I don't know as I haven't tried that^^
