Installing mods for the Steam version of The Sith Lords
Kexikus replied to Todd Hellid's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
You should always install them in the workshop directory, just in case they modify a file that's also modified by TSLRCM. Because if you don't files might be ignored when installed otherwise. Or you also install TSLRCM the old way. Then you'd install all other mods that way too. -
Please tell me there is an easy fix for this :(
Kexikus replied to GodAyato's topic in M4-78 Enhancement Project
Do you have any other mods installed, except for TSLRCM and M4-78EP. Also post the questions and answers from this thread please: http://deadlystream.com/forum/topic/2390-read-me-second-information-for-those-posting-errors-glitches/ -
Congratulations! And the list looks fine to me One question though: Is that the list of all the icons you intend to make or only those for the first wave?

Don't worry. I'm glad for any constructive criticism About your issue with the Rakatan Settlement. What you're seeing there is a bug present in vanilla where in two modules the ceiling skybox texture is rotated incorrectly. I fixed that for my skybox pack, so either I uploaded some incorrect file or you messed up the installation somehow. I'll check the first case once I'm at home and if that's not the reason I'll write you a PM to figure out what went wrong

Looking good. I only wish you had used my Canon Galaxy map as a base. The vanilla planet placement is just so bad :/

I usually have to switch my keyboard layout to English in order to use the console, as it somehow doesn't Work with The German layout. And I also have to do that while ingame and it switches back as soon as I minimize The Game. The shortcut to do so is Alt+Shift. Not Sure if that works with other languages but it could be worth a try.

About the conversation with more than one NPC: You'll need the Speaker and Listener part in your dialog lines. As FS described, Speaker determines who is speaking. Keep it blank for any PC responses (as it's always your PC in this case) and you can also keep it blank when the NPC you started the conversation with is talking. Otherwise add the tag of the character you want to be speaking. Just make sure that all NPCs are close to your PC or you might run into some trouble. Listener determines who the Speaker is talking to, that is which character the Speaker is facing. When blank it'll default to the PC in Entry lines and the NPC you started the conversation with in Response lines. If you want to change that, once again, add the tag of the NPC. And about your custom loot: Do you want to add an entirely new item or just have the character drop a certain item already existing in the game?

Reinstalling won't hurt, just in case it's something that went wrong with the installation. If you want to be on the safe side, make a backup of your installation so you can revert back in case your savegames no longer work.

Glad you managed to fix it and also glad that it wasn't my mods fault^^ The version I released here is the one to be used with vanilla Taris. The one for Joraks Taris pack will follow after he releases his Taris overhaul. @ Cache71: Argh, I hate the Taris backdrops. For now all I can say is that I hope it's not too distracting, but I'll see what I can do to fix it

I've been doing many landscape screenshots for my skybox project and while doing that I've been thinking that they'd make great loading screens. So as a new recommendation I'd use your template as seen in your first post (maybe with black background instead of that map-like background as seen in TOR) but then simply add in unedited screenshots from those areas. Maybe add a few holographic lines but I'm not sure if those are necessary. It'd look somewhat like this probably and I quite like this look.

Thank you, everyone. I'm really glad you all like it

View File High Quality Skyboxes II ABOUT: This mod replaces every skybox and every planetary backdrop in the game with a new high resolution version made from scratch. This includes a replacement of every skybox model to fix all the glaring issues with the original. There are also some additional minor changes that either fix issues with the vanilla environments or serve to better blend ingame terrain and skybox. Other than that I recommend you just check out the screenshots as pictures say more than a thousand words or check the video to see the animated skyboxes. Click the following image to see additional interactive screenshot comparisons: There are also add-ons with new skyboxes for the following mods: Brotherhood of Shadows: Solomon's Revenge Yavin IV Ord Mandell including InSidious' reskin Green Grass for Dantooine If you find any issues or have any other comments, please let me know and I'll see what can be done. INSTALLATION: If you have a previous version of this mod installed, remove it before installing the new version or you might run into some issues. For installation instructions check the read-me files of the individual downloads. Usually it's just copying files to your Override folder. For the mod to take full effect you need a savegame where you have not yet left Dantooine. COMPABILITY: This mod is not compatible with any mod that edits skyboxes in any way. This includes mods that only edit their models. There might also be rare incompabilities with mods that edit non-skybox area models if those models are also edited by this mod. PERMISSIONS: You may NOT redistribute any textures included in this archive without my explicit permission. You may however use all the models as long as you give me credit. I think his problem is that he can't find the dlg files in Kotor Tool because they are not in the .rim files as they are in K1. Instead they are in ERFs > Modules and there are files called <ModuleName>_dlg.erf that include all the dialog for the module. Then just extract them as you'd do for K1.

Nomnisang hasn't been online for about 1.5 months, so I fear the worst. But I also really hope that the situation is only temporary and he'll return at some point

Glad to see you back here Your textures have been in my Override forever and I don't intend to take them out any time soon and your screenshot also looks great already. Can't wait to see more

So, the issue appears when using the armband while the party is locked. Maybe it's possible to lock the armband too while the party is locked so that this can't happen. If not we just need to be careful.

It's done After 9 months, I just finished the last skybox for this project. Now I'll have to go through all areas again to see if I missed any mistakes and to take screenshots and then I can finally release them. I won't promise anything but that should happen this weekend. With K1 done now, you might be wondering what's coming next and well... a break, from skyboxes at least^^ That means that I'll focus on my other projects. It does not mean that I won't do any skyboxes anymore. Some of the older ones in this pack could use a cloud overhaul with my new knowledge, so I might do this at some point. Then there's the Manaan backdrop textures that are still missing and will be missing in the 1.0 release but I hope to include them in a later update. And of course there is TSL with all its skyboxes. I won't start TSL now or even this year most likely (but you never know), but I have ideas for some of the skyboxes and I want to make them reality at some point. But as I said, I need a break and also, Malkior is working on his excellent TSL skybox set, so I don't feel the need to make them ASAP. The one exception to this could be the Coruscant skybox, depending on where the Jedi Temple Enhancement project that was discussed here a while back goes. So yeah, that's it. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this project and/or commented and gave criticism. This is my first big "public" project and you made it a great experience and I'll gladly do more of them, so THANK YOU

To edit, just click the small text saying "Edit" in the bottom right of one of your older posts. To add pictures click "More Posting Options" (or something similar) to get the full editor, then either click the small image icon under the smiley icon and paste the url of a picture or click "Attach Files" to upload pictures here on Deadlystream (they have to be jpg in that case). Once they're uploaded click "Add to Post" to add them to your post, otherwise they'll only be shown as attachments.

Kotor Widescreen 16:9, UI 800x600
Kexikus replied to Dafty_Pixel's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
From your screenshot it doesn't look like you're missing the actual high resolution provided by UniWS. The problem is simply that the GUI elements are still where they were before only that this is now in the middle of your screen. And to fix that you need the download from my link. There is a list of resolutions, pick yours, download the files and place them in your Override. That'll fix your GUI. If that's not your issue, you need to rephrase it again as it certainly sounds like this problem in your first post.
