2 points[Updated: April 26, 2020] Greetings, fellow Jedi! Hope you all doing fine. This will be an archive-thread-miniwiki to accommodate my curiousness in some aspects from either KotOR/TSL; either with placeables, textures , models, anything- which is too valuable to lost for just a status update but is too exclusive for each of them to have a single thread, in my perspective. I have archived some past random questions with its essential responses, should their information would be useful and will be easy enough to have access to: [August 14, 2018] PlasticCrate_cylinder [August 16, 2018] LTS_Rwall01 [August 19, 2018] PLC_Statue2 [August 24, 2018] Taris' Upper City Cantina Entrance Wall Panel [August 28, 2018] Taris' Upper City South Fountains [M02ac_02b_02e] [August 30, 2018] Ebon Hawk's Unique Cubemaps [CM_eh] [September 12, 2018] Locate Area Model [September 12, 2018] Sith Soldier Bump Map Restoration [September 17, 2018] Bump-map Breaks Level Geometry Animation? [December 10, 2018] Jedi Enclave's "Unused" Bump-map [November 08, 2019] Trigger's ScriptOnEnter x GetEnteringObject [November 24, 2019] ActionJumpToLocation >= ActionJumpToObject [December 08, 2019] Rakatan "SWAG" Idle Animation VS ANIMATION_LOOPING_TALK_NORMAL [December 11, 2019] [Success] VS [Failure] [December 14, 2019] GetNearestCreature > GetPartyMemberByIndex [April 26, 2020] TSL's Hologram ____________________________________________ That was some questions-responses that I thought would need a proper archiving should they delivered any useful information for future modding attempt. Also, I'm taking this opportunity to ask to the forums too. Will it be possible to change that grey area in the center of Taris' city-walk to some kind of a mini-pool with water model/textures in it? One example in mind that could be used as a reference is this mini-pool inside Davik's estate: Many thanks for considering this!

This mod replace the vanilla Ajunta Pall's voice with the "Legends" version. # Background # The main motivation of this mod was, for me personally; to have me enjoy VarsityPuppet's "Spectral Ajunta Pall Canonical Appearance", to the most immerse experience I could have. So, I fiddled around with the vanilla voices to have me get that spectral feeling inside the tomb. # About this Mod # Inside this mod are 59 edited voice-overs of Ajunta Pall, using the game original files as the base voice to work with. [Updated in v1.0.1] # Final Remarks # I suggest you to install VarsityPuppet's "Spectral Ajunta Pall Canonical Appearance" first, and then install this mod after. This mod aims to complete the Ajunta Pall's spectral ambience part. Critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and any feedbacks for the next update are very much appreciated- just PM me or write a public message on my feed. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod. Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do! Installation: Run the installer [TSLPatcher.exe]. Uninstallation: Run the "Uninstall: Vanilla Ajunta Pall's Voice" option from the installer directory. Compatibility: Will not be 100% compatible with VarsityPuppet's "Spectral Ajunta Pall Canonical Appearance", as VP's mod also include VOs replacement upon installing. To make this mod compatible, install this mod after VP's to have the intended effect. This mod will only affect the voice of Ajunta Pall. Redistribution: You can redistribute this mod or re-release it on any website; all I'm asking was just not to take credits for it. You don't have to ask for permission, but I do appreciate all the kind intention. Also, if you are planning to use the assets from this mod to a mod you will be developing, don't forget to give credits to BioWare & LucasArts, as inside this mod are their base assets too. All said and done, credits to my name is always a welcome, welcome. Credits: [Updated in v1.0.1] DarthParametric for the past-present knowledge which allows me to create any customs for the game, and his guidance on working with the installer. DarthParametric again, for the "addheader.bat"- which tools have been proven very useful to re-compressed the .WAV files. VarsityPuppet for the permission to have "Spectral Ajunta Pall Canonical Appearance" stand-out-ly featured in the preview. VarsityPuppet again, for inspiring me with the amazing "Spectral Ajunta Pall Canonical Appearance", and later for his input which enabled me to have the .WAV files compressed to micro-sized ones in v1.0.1, and resulting in better blend with the game- all but goodness. BioWare & LucasArts for the 'Game of the 21st Century'. All streamers on DeadlyStream which indirectly involved on this project that I couldn't possibly mentioned one by one. All modders either active or inactive. stoffe and Fair Strides for the TSLPatcher setup. DeadlyStream for a place to hangout and to discuss. -eb v1.0 Preview [featuring VarsityPuppet's "Spectral Ajunta Pall Canonical Appearance"]. v1.0.1 Preview [Under Development] -

Recruitable Maxis Mod Description: This mod will add a new character to KotOR called Maxis Lawquane, a merchant you will encounter on Tatooine and eventually add to your party on Yavin. A new game is recommended to get the most out of this mod. Maxis has a quest just like the rest of your party. As you gain levels, more dialogue will be available with Maxis which will further his quest. I recommend you add Maxis to the party as early as possible so you don't miss out. You will have the option to train Maxis as a Jedi or a Sith, which will affect his fate at the end of the game. Access to the Shyrak Caves is required to complete Maxis' story, so don't finish Korriban before you finish Maxis' quest. Instructions (if you don't want to know what happens in his quest or what to do, don't read this): First you meet Maxis in the first module of Tatooine, situated to the left of the Ebon Hawk. There you can buy items from him; activate his sidequest; or, if you really want to, kill him. Once you activate his quest, go to the Czerka offices and get in to a fight with the Rodian you'll find there. Once you've got the datapad from him, go back to Maxis for a reward. At this point, he leaves Tatooine and you can go and find him on Yavin. To find him there, talk to Suvam Tan asking where he is. Maxis will appear and you can talk to him a bit more, and convince him to join your journey. He replaces T3-M4, whom you must sell to Suvam Tan in order to recruit Maxis. If you miss T3, don't worry, because he'll remain on the station and you can talk to him there. After that, you have to level up a bit while talking to Maxis to continue the quest. Once you've finished the dialogue about returning to fight the Trandoshans, go back to Tatooine and you will be ambushed upon leaving the Ebon Hawk. This is a very difficult fight, you face off against 4 Trandoshans and their leader. Luckily, you'll get some custom loot as a reward. After a couple more interactions, Maxis will stop wanting to speak to you. To complete the quest, you must talk to a Twi'lek found in the Czerka office on Dreshdae. Then you can talk to Maxis, and you will convince him to come with you to the Shyrak Caves to find a holocron. The Glysh Family: In version 1.4 I added the Glysh Family to this mod, and it's been expanded upon in Version 1.5. The Glysh Family is a subplot that's intended to run through the entire game, but intersects with Maxis' story. Throughout the game you will come across members of the Rodian crime syndicate. In order to help Maxis on Tatooine, you have to kill one of the higher ups of the family, which causes them - and their leader, the mysterious Raika Glysh - to hunt you across the Galaxy. Installation: Just let the TSLPatcher do its thing. Compatibility: I can assure compatibility with K1R. For compatibility with Recruitable Kay, go to the folder labeled Recruitable Kay Compatibility and run the TSLPatcher. DO THIS AFTER INSTALLING BOTH MODS FIRST. If you encounter or suspect any compatibility issues with any other mods, please PM me on DeadlyStream and I will be more than happy to try and fix it for you. Bugs: Maxis looks a little odd on the level up screen, which I believe is because he replaces T3-M4. It's nothing more than a visual problem, and has no impact on gameplay so I wouldn't worry about it. If you come across any other bugs or miscellaneous problems please PM me! Uninstallation: Place all the files in the backup folder in to your Override and delete all files from tslpatchdata that are present in the Override. Special thanks to Fair Strides, Kexikus, Darth Parametric and others on DeadlyStream who helped and answered my many questions for various parts of this mod. Without that help this mod wouldn't exist. Special thanks to UnusualCharacters for providing voiceovers for Sith Troopers and Carth on the Leviathan. -

1 pointThanks for the feedback! I have decompiled the model to ASCII using MDLEdit back then, but still it didn't work. Good news is; I've got the import feature working now, and the issue was because I set the "usemax" inside the kotormax.ini to 1- which should have been 0 for the import feature to work on my end.

1 pointI know there are many here who love this glorious "mod" as the devs have been telling everyone for the past 2 years. So let me post a conversation that I had with a dev on their discord chat earlier today. For those that do not know, my discord name is Winter 😂

Warning: This is a joke mod; if breaking immersion/suspense of disbelief even the slightest bit isn't your thing, this mod is not for you. This mod was requested by Sith Holocron (request thread). If you replay the game a lot and find the "Lord Malak was most displeased..." guys comical, this mod will add to that and allow you to make fun of them, freshening up the experience. The third time you meet them you will have 6 new dialogue options to say to them. They all have fully voiced responses. You can meet them at Tatooine (Anchorhead), Kashyyyk (The Great Walkway) and Manaan (instead of 3 Dark Jedi, there is a Dark Jedi Master and 2 Selkath apprentices at the Sith base, but he says the same line so...). There are some peaceful outcomes where you can talk the Sith into leaving you alone. However, some responses will only aggravate them, and they will still attack you. HK-47 will also mock them if he is in your party at the time. Note: The sixth dialogue option will only be available after you complete the Leviathan. It is the only serious dialogue option. This mod should be compatible with anything that doesn't change the Dark Jedi trio's dialogue (tat17_darkjedi01.dlg) or the Sith Master's dialogue on Manaan (man27_sithmas.dlg). Installation: Simply run TSLPatcher.exe and select your main game folder (swkotor). Uninstallation: Removing tat17_darkjedi01.dlg and man27_sithmas.dlg from your Override folder would suffice, but if you want to completely cleanse your game's directory of this mod, leaving no trace behind, then you will have to remove disadd.ncs, displeased3.ncs, k_ptat_isrevan_y.ncs, triofade.ncs, triofadem.ncs from your Override folder and all the SithTrackers0xx.wav files + HKmostdispleased.wav from your streamwaves folder, as well as replace your globalcat.2da with the backup that was generated. But honestly none of that is necessary, unless you want to clean up your mod files. This is an update of my previous Darth Nihilus Animation Fix. It includes two new features. First, the cape bug is fixed fixed and it is fully animated. Secondly, Nihilus' popular unique animations are still on him, like his lightsaber flourish and special attacks. It still gives Darth Nihilus all the animations for all combinations of ranged and melee weapons, as well as all other mundane animations. I also fixed a small typo in the item description, if anyone cares. You can again access the robe that allows you to disguise yourself as Nihilus as a replacement of the mask you can get from Visas after you kill him on the Ravager. -

This mod alters the (frankly terrible) holograms used in the cutscenes prior to boarding the Star Forge at the end of KOTOR to bring them more in to line with the style seen in the movies and TSL. For some unknown reason, Bioware decided to go with a weird texture-based approach that simultaneously looks both horrible and nothing like how Star Wars holograms are typically depicted. Before: After: Changes: Admiral Dodonna hologram model completely replaced with a new one based on her regular appearance. No longer has incorrect mirrored torso UVs. Dodonna model split into sub-meshes for optimal hierarchical occlusion. Vandar model given some mesh tweaks to remove some intersection issues. Models now use mesh-based transparency rather than additive texture blending. Custom keyframes added to animations to facilitate mesh-based alpha approach and added meshes. New animated textures for Vandar and Dodonna created based on their regular appearance textures. Minor alteration to one shot during the DS cutscene to prevent Dodonna leaping out of frame while Vandar is speaking. Known Issues: Because meshes do not self-occlude, there are some artefacts during certain shots. For example, seeing the neck through the chin. Acknowledgements: Thanks to @bead-v for KOTORMax and MDLEdit Thanks to @ndix UR for MDLops -
0 pointsThis is a list of the tools you will need to start modifying KOTOR files KOTOR Tool by Fred Tetra download The swiss-army knife of KOTOR modding, and the first thing any KOTOR modder needs. View and extract all game file types. Also includes a built-in GFF Editor, 2da Editor, Script Editor and DLG Editor (k1 only) which are all serviceable. KGFF Editor by tk102 download (unofficial tool archive) Edit files saved with BioWare's Generic File Format. This covers a broad range of game files - everything from characters to stores to triggers to journal entries. ARE, GIT, IFO, JRL, PTH, UTC, UTD, UTE, UTM, UTI, UTP, UTT, UTS, UTW are all examples of GFF files. ERFEdit by stoffe (updates by FairStrides) download Pack and unpack the ERF and RIM archive formats, including the related MOD, SAV, and HAK formats. ERFEdit can extract resources from any of these files or create them. If you're editing an area or creating your own, you'll want to use ERFEdit to package all its contents in a .mod file for release. 2DAEditor by VarsityPuppet download Edit any 2-Dimensional Array (2DA) file. 2DA is a fancy term for a spreadsheet and a lot of critical files are 2DAs because spreadsheets are handy - things like character appearances, player classes, and item types. 2DA Editor has a few nifty features that KOTOR Tool's editor lacks, like filtering search terms and copy/pasting cells.
