Alternatively, a secondary installer has been made for convenience. It will not patch the files like the TSL Patcher will, but it should be less of a headache for most users. HOWEVER, IT WILL NEED TO BE INSTALLED BEFORE ANY OTHER MODS!!! Note: The K1R team is not responsible for any incompatibility issues that may arise from the use of this mod in conjunction with other mods. Also, in order to provide the best feedback for us we recommend that you play K1R with NO other mods installed.     Heyorange's Sith Uniform Reformation A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic Author: Heyorange (aka Pataschka) Version: 1.0 DESCRIPTION: This mod is a bunch of reskins of the sith officer uniforms. Different uniforms with different rank insignias were given to different officers throughout the game to give a bit more realistic look. Aside from that, the uniform of the Admiral Saul Karath was changed and a new reskin for sith students was added. The Mod is devided into 3 parts: 1. Heyorange's Sith Uniform Reformation - the main part of the mod 2. Sith Students + Czerka on Korriban fix - reskin of the standart sith uniforms for Korriban sith students and fix for Czerka workers on Korriban to have correct uniforms 3. K1R fix - A reskin of the sith uniform for the added wounded officer on the Leviathan by the K1R modification INSTALLATION: This mod doesn't have TSLPatcher so to install it copy desired files to your Override folder: - If you are using mods such as "Back in Black" or any other mod that changes the uniforms of the sith students and fixes Czerka workers then copy only files from "Heyorange's Sith Uniform Reformation" folder to your Override folder - If you don't have any mods affecting the appearance of the sith students and czerka officers then copy the files both from "Heyorange's Sith Uniform Reformation" and "Sith Students + Czerka on Korriban fix" folders to your Override folder - If you are using K1R modification than copy the files from all of 3 folders to your Override folder COMPABILITY: Would be incompatible with any mods that change the model of the sith officers.     This little mod is actually just a hex-edit of another model (we didn't have shiny tools back then) to point to my new, custom textures, with full DS transitions (though I'm still not super happy with those. Guess I don't play DS often enough to be good at them lol) Anyways, the revised version (this one) has the colors toned down a little. I got a bit carried away with the original, or maybe the high res I can play in now just makes them stand out a lot more, but in any case, I'm happier with them now. I also went ahead and made it all TSL Patcher happy, so the modifications it needs to make to appearance.2da, heads.2da, and portraits.2da will merely add to those files, and not break anything (thus, ensuring compatibility). Everything else is uniquely named, so this "head" will appear as an additional (16th) choice for a starting female character and not replace any "core content". The versions of my armband gizmo with KK_PC in their name support this mod, while other versions of the band will work, but it won't know about this content. Anyways, enjoy. ^-^ -Kitt

Though I honestly don't see a difference that broke the old mod with K1R, I did think it could be done in a way that wasn't as jarring. In the old version, Bastila was selectable despite saying that she wouldn't be going. In this version, you can choose to have her available or not. There are only two new player lines and no voice-less Bastila lines. Installation: Simply run the TSLPatcher and direct it to your KotOR 1 folder. As you may know that didn't make it into the final game but hidden in the game files are voice overs for each party member for when they talk about the Korriban Star Map similar as to what they do on the other worlds. When K1R came along they decided not to include it in as not having them appear in game makes a lot of sense, this mod allows for your party members to enter the tomb and help you fight off the Terentateks, Uthar and Yuthura and say those cut lines when you open the Star Map WARNING: This is best used with K1R as it modifies an Uthar dialogue from that mod and I have no clue what K1R actually did to that dialogue so using this Mod in the normal game may cause crashes Known Bugs: When your main character and Uthar run to the exit when you leave the academy your party members might not move at all.     VULKAR_COWARD Redux By Fair Strides Description: This mod is in reply to requests that the original vulkar coward that you encounter in the Vulkar Base Main Level be put back in, in place of the restored Vulkar we put in his place. This mod is fully compatible with K1R and gives the user three different options for how they want the original coward restored: 1. Original original, with no K1R changes applied. 2. Original appearance, but with K1R dialog and with English VO as well. 3. Original appearance, but with the K1R dialog and with Twi'lek VO like the original.     This mod adds an item to inventory which you can equip, then use (like an energy shield). Once that's done, you navigate a dialog-driven menu (computer interface) to select a head, body, or combination and it applies disguise effects. This will work for the main PC and all the usual party member suspects (though it doesn't specifically support Trask, so he may do odd things under some circumstances). There are 4 versions. Any of them should be compatible with everything, though if you've got mods installed that drastically change the order of appearance.2da, everything will point to the wrong things, and if you have content ADDED to appearance.2da, it won't know about that content without some alterations.   13. Has anyone on Deadlystream beaten the entire K1R without cheats on Impossible difficulty? If so, what mods did you have? I had thought several people had done this already, but ZM90 said, "I wonder if anybody has beaten Impossible Difficulty? I can tell you I am the one responsible for Impossible Difficulty and even I haven't beaten K1 on it." He also said, "I'll personally congratulate the first person that players through K1 on Impossible Difficulty only with no cheats and successfully beats the game." Which leaves me perplexed that it has not been done yet.

  15. Some people have problems finishing the Taris Swoop Race, which means their story progression is blocked. Existing game saves are pre-K1R v1.2, though. So hereby I attach my Quicksave at the exact point after winning the Taris Swoop Race and just before the brawl against Brejik started. NOTE: I'm playing a Male Scout here, and I have a bunch of mods installed (listed in the spoiler). Most shouldn't affect the gameplay directly at this point, I think.   17. Just wanted to let everyone know that I have one last mod to integrate (Kainzorus Prime's Manaan and Korriban Music Fixes) and then... I CAN MAKE THE INSTALLER(S)!!! I will be making two installers this time: a TSL Patcher installer for compatibility concerns, and a TSLRCM-esque installer for convenience concerns. The TSLRCM-esque installer will be the recommended installer, but that will also just replace all of your files, so it's to be installed first and foremost in your mod builds.

Guess I don't play DS often enough to be good at them lol) Anyways, the revised version (this one) has the colors toned down a little. I got a bit carried away with the original, or maybe the high res I can play in now just makes them stand out a lot more, but in any case, I'm happier with them now. I also went ahead and made it all TSL Patcher happy, so the modifications it needs to make to appearance.2da, heads.2da, and portraits.2da will merely add to those files, and not break anything (thus, ensuring compatibility). Everything else is uniquely named, so this "head" will appear as an additional (16th) choice for a starting female character and not replace any "core content". The versions of my armband gizmo with KK_PC in their name support this mod, while other versions of the band will work, but it won't know about this content.   20. I'm using a lot of mods, I didn't keep a record of them but they could be like 60 or 75% of the mods here on DeadlyStream for K1, plus some other mods. I was wondering where can I find a crash log (to troubleshoot it on my own) or if anyone else has encountered this same problem or crash. As it says in the title it crashes at the student scene when entering Korriban for the first time. (The one in which the sith master was shouting at some students, if I remember correctly). I would appreciate if someone helped me with this, because I don't want to lose my savegames. Thanks.

We're coming up close on the K1R 1.0 release and decided that we'd probably get a trailer together to showcase what all happens with the mod, and for you to show your friends when you try to convince them to use the mod... I have to thank Rece for getting the footage when I wasn't able to get the Widescreen working and Darth Tyren for compiling everything into the trailer. I also need to thank InSidious for helping with music for the trailer, though sadly none of the pieces ended up fitting the scenes... , and Sith Specter for making the images with the KotOR font from the game's logo.
