    KotOR 1 Restoration

61.81MB download and 6181 views. Coincidence?
  3. It's too bad I got a copy of KOTOR 2 from GoG too recently. I don't want to get another copy on Steam just to have these new features.
  4. Which program would I download to modify a KOTOR .2da file for a mod? Looking to use a mod in conjunction with another mod I alread use that have the same appearance.2da file names, and I don't have anything to modify them with.
  5. It may have been an error on my part when I updated to the 14.9 driver. When I originally installed the 14.4 version, I didn't know that AMD pushed their own gaming app with the catalyst software, and it caused problems with games I ran off of a separate hard drive before I got my permanent drives. I uninstalled the gaming app and fixed the issues, but I can't help but wonder if that app caused problems in KOTOR as well.
  6. I did a full uninstall of the AMD Drivers and software, uninstalled the video card, and installed an older version of the Catalyst Control Center. The game works now, but I think I forgot to reinstall a mod because now I load in and only see a hexagon on screen.
  7. So I went to AMD's website to try and investigate this issue. It appears that the Catalyst Control Center 14.9 is the issue. There are even reports that 14.9 and the older version 14.4 are damaging video cards.
  8. I wish you luck in this endeavour. I tried to get a mod made a few years back on the Dragon Age Nexus site, and they told me to use a mod that wouldn't give me the armor I wanted.
  9. I had to restart my PC today, and when I came back, AMD Catalyst Control Center told me that I had an update for my video card. I downloaded the update, installed it, and restarted my PC again. Now, I can launch KOTOR 1 and get to the screen where I can choose to load a save state. I have tried every save file I have, but they all load up to a black screen, and when I hit a key, the game closes completely. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, how did you fix it?
  10. I'm intrigued in getting this version instead of the version I have. Do you know if this has the standard resolutions that the game originally came with, or did they give it any better resolutions?
  11. If you are running KOTOR 2 on a laptop with Windows 8 and an integrated Intel graphics processor, I can guarantee you that it is not the Intel processor. The processor is more advanced than anything they had when the game was released. Try changing the compatibility of KOTOR 2 so that it does the following: Is compatible with Windows XP(Any service pack), Disable visual themes, disable desktop composition, and make sure the priviledge level is set to run as administrator. You should just have to right click on the game's launch icon, select Properties, then select the compatibility tab.
  12. I used Redhawke's mods for making companions Jedi. This is where I got them from: http://www.jumpstationz.com/RedHawke/mods.html
  13. Really looking forward to K1R. Do you know yet if mods that let companions become Jedi will be compatible?
  14. Thank you. I have the Star Wars Best of PC Collection version of KOTOR. When I installed the updates, I couldn't get the game to work, but after I uninstalled and then reinstalled the game, it worked. Does this version already come patched?
  15. I am installing KOTOR 1 and 2 on my new PC, and I was wondering where to get the official patches for each from to install before installing TSLRCM and the other mods I use?
  16. Too bad you can't make a core lightsaber creation mod, then release optional files for it for saber hilts that one person may like, but another person might not.
  17. I'm reinstalling the game. I don't recall my server though. Will find out if I had to change anything. My legacy name used to be Ayanami. That is the only thing I am completely unsure of.
  18. If one is skilled in networking, one can set up a Virtual Private Network(VPN) and have one's country of origin be untraceable.
  19. It could be a Special Forces or Tactical Response Unit uniform.
  20. When it's ready. To paraphrase Blizzard: "Adding a deadline only creates unneccessarry pressure and causes a cut of content or less quality in content."
  21. Any chance of some of the crystal colors from USM making an appearance?
  22. Are you using any other mods, and if so, could you list them please?
