  1. Sorry to necropost, but I've seen you use Admiralty mod on TSL Backdrop Improvements screenshots. Did you succeed in making a new compatibility patch? If so, could I get it through PM? Also, does anyone know how does the admiral hat exactly work? I would like to keep it on admiral Cede, but for Carth, he looks better without it.
  2. Yes, what will happen to Belaya if Juhani is dark side?

The only reason why KotORs are less popular than new games are their less than satisfying graphics. If you release more of your textures and overhaul the textures in a couple of mods, producers of those boring FPS-es without storyline are going to hate you.
  4. To me it was never interesting, because to me game ends with the ending, but it's actually very easy. You must remove the script which shows you the credit movies and warps you into the main menu and replace it with the script warping you to the Ebon Hawk after the escape cutscene. However, it'd make more sense if you place Malachor on the galaxy map, too (it's got coordinates in its .gui file, actually) and display a message that Malachor was destroyed if you chose the light side ending, and if you chose the dark side ending, make a new landing on Malachor movie - possibly spawn the Ebon Hawk on a cliff above the Trayus Academy and block with some rocks the passage to the crashed Ebon Hawk module. What else - you should make the Rebuilt Enclave module unavailable again - rocks or a broken door possibly, yet its "rebuiltness" should stay. Citadel Station should have some damage. Iziz Turmoil has ended, so it should be made that you can travel to Onderon using the Ebon Hawk, possibly replacing the Mandalorian shuttle. In other words - if you want a mod that warps you into the Ebon Hawk - it's really easy. If you want a mod which makes travelling around the galaxy fitting with the storyline, it's really hard.
  5. I'm actually lucky because my mum is a photographer and has got only one computer, so I grabbed a license for Photoshop on second device.
  6. He should get GIMP. Paint will provide a horrible effect at best, and GIMP is free and it's easy to start with a perfect square, because you choose the dimensions at start of work. @Kexikus, I have once found 256x256 portraits, but 128x128 is perfectly enough and more is a waste of memory, because space the game uses for portraits is around 128x128 each, and 64x64 ones have to be ridiculously oversharpened to look normally in the game.
  7. Poetraits for K1 are, I guess, 128x128, but I have also seen some oversharpened 64x64 ones and they apparently work. They should be called PO_pPartyMember or po_ppartymember (it's for you to choose which form you prefer) with name instead of PartyMember. If you want to change a silhouette one (they're exclusive to K1), add "2" at the end without quotes and space after name. It should be noted that in K1, T3-M4 appears as T3-M3 in every file affecting him, so his portrait name is po_pt3m3. In TSL, it's fixed and it's po_pt3m4. As for HK-47, in both games don't use "-" in his name, just like you don't with T3-M4. In TSL filenames are the same except the fact that there are also dark side ones for those party members that are trainable as Jedi. For first stage of corruption, use "d1" at the end without quotes and space after name, for second stage use "d2". Example - PO_pDiscipled1. You should be available to save your file as a TGA in every image edit program, for example GIMP and Photoshop.
  8. But having male and female helmets is quite problematic, and Mandalore's Helmet covers the full head and I haven't seen any clipping issues.
  9. I'm not a subscriber, so I can't get completely any support, maybe any subscriber would be willing to ask about terms of using this soundtrack and maybe politely ask for a permission to use them for DeadlyStream? Considering the fact that the site gets no commercial profit nor reduces the value of used soundtrack (it's for free) and we're only trying to make KotORs better, what can go wrong? Maybe the second point, but considering the fact BioWare is now a property of Electronic Arts, every money from people formerly discouraged from using it due to the fact it's old and now buying it due to available improvements goes to them. Well, not when someone buys a CD from another person, but then they wouldn't get a penny from it anyway.
  10. I can't wait for them, especially for Revan & Malak v3 and Atris vs Sion, which come from official Star Wars sources.
  11. So, will they finally be released as a pack?
  12. http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/194-kotor2-alternate-credits/ This uses music from TOR. And Fair Strides didn't react after HK-47's statement that he took them from CD. Maybe Customer Service will know more about the situation with SWTOR online soundtrack. I'll contact them later.
  13. Why can't we use SWTOR music, if the soundtrack is publicly available?
  14. Kaidon Jorn edited legal screens, too. He usually just took a default loadscreen and wrote the name of his mod with fancy fairy letters, so you couldn't focus on the original legal information.
  15. I think about something more: BIK cutscenes in KotOR and TSL into in-game ones. J'adore!
  16. For sure I'll take Revan and Malak v3 and Atris vs Sion as soon as they're released. I also wonder if it could be possible to replace animated LucasArts logo with a newer one.
  17. And it was Kainzorus Prime who did the texture for full SWTOR HK-47 retexture. Better ask them both.
  18. No - K1 and K2 binary models differ, so you'd have to convert with MDLOps K2 binary model into ASCII and then ASCII into K1 binary.
  19. 1. If you ever tried to look at game mechanics, you would have known that the first one is impossible to fix due to the way lightsaber crystals work in game - otherwise while putting a crystal from a single-bladed schematic in a double saber, you would get a completely different double saber hilt variant. The same happens in USM and the only mod without the issue is Duplisaber, where hilt for a short lightsaber will change whatever you put it in into a short lightsaber. This could be an option, but then you lose a purpose of having single, double and short lightsabers in game, because your lightsaber will turn into whatever you want. 2. That's because they're walking on a scheduled route. The bug where an NPC is running in place because you stand on his way and then magically teleports is one of the most common bugs in game. 3. If he's got no clue why this happens, how would he fix that? It's even logical - how could you disassemble your friend's lightsaber when he's holding it? Any other piece of the game, like vendors work like that - you can't sell the items that you have equipped. Modifying makes sense, but disassembling doesn't. For me, it's fault of game developers' complete lack of imagination. 4. It's a random bug that doesn't even always happen, like half of bugs in this game. All of those bugs happen due to game mechanics - deal with it. They're probably not fixable, like most of bugs. You really shouldn't blame the mod author for the game mechanics - that's not their fault. Every single game has bugs - deal with it instead of expressing you're disappointment about everything around you. I'd rather recommend learning about KotOR mechanics because you lack minimal knowledge about it.
  20. I love the K1 loadscreens and hate the TSL loadscreens. I always thought that SWTOR loadscreens are nice because they're more like K1 - this loading progress line does have a box like in K1 and there's a kind of an old TV filter. The only things I miss are those fancy macrobinocular things at the sides. When I first played KotOR, it was at the visit to my cousin and it was only once, because my cousin lives far from me and I visit him rarely. The first game I actually played continously was SWTOR (there were times when I played it even at nights, then I stopped, and when I went to my Jedi Sage again to finish his storyline - I stopped playing him on Hoth, and I got to Tython, IIRC for some storyline purposes, I just stood at front of the Jedi Temple and started listening to the Tython music and dying from nostalgia), so SWTOR loadscreens satisfy me enough.
  21. I always truly hated TSL loadscreens. What I would love are the TSL loadscreens in nostalgia K1 style, you know, with all these metallic borders around it, possibly in GUI versions classic (these long loadscreens like in default K1) and those modfied in the way you did with the K1 ones. While I highly aporeciate the GUI changes, most of the shots look worse when extended. I hope it's possible because I really hate TSL loadscreens. I have first played KotOR at my cousin's house years ago, but got an opportunity to play TSL when he went to college and passed the KotOR geek torch to me. So I loved KotOR loadscreens from the first minute and you can probably imagine my disappointment when I saw the TSL ones. It was like "what the ****, it's just an image and two lines. Where is an old TV filter and where are my fancy Star Wars macrobinocular things on the sides? It's crap, I couldn't have done it better in five minutes". I don't really know if it's my taste or nostalgy, but I seek all around the Internet mods with blue interface and hints how to make the dialogue font blue. If it has been already domen on so many different in-game fonts, it must be possible on the dialogue one, too. But while I currently do not use any blue interface mods due to lack of proper font color changes and I can stand turquoise interface, it fits TSL quite well, everytime when I see a loadscreens in TSL, I politely go to toilet to vomit. The man who made TSL loadscreens either was very lazy or had a complete lack of taste in his mind. Probably both.
  22. Why won't you upload images to the DeadlyStream? For some reason, I can't see the image neither embedded here nor in Photobucket.
  23. Have you heard to always backup your saves before you edit them? By what you mentioned, I assume you're PARTYTABLE.res has been somehow changed to the state where you have no party members. It also cleaned your journal, but many things are done through special variables - a variable for this quest with a Rodian is still set to active, just your journal was wiped. Even if I'm correct, which is probably quite unlikely, sorry to say that, I don't know how to fix that. I just haven't used KSE before.
  24. Xuul has got birthday to day, so let's wish him happy birthday! I wish you to have a nice year, happy family life, and of course many great mods to review! None of us all was as helpful for newbies and geeks as you. Thanks to you, I found many great mods that I happily use now! None of us all was as helpful to modders as you - in fact, everything needs a kind of advertisement and that's where KotOR modders and generally whole Deadly Stream community needs you. Maybe Sith Holocron M4-78 is going to sing Xuul "Happy Birthday" in 1.3?
