MOD:Handmaiden and Female Exile - Disciple and Male Exile Romance
Kexikus replied to Leilukin's topic in Mod Releases
It's not 100% confirmed to be compatible but I don't think anyone has ever reported an issue so it probably is.- 44 replies

This extremely well done Han Solo fanfilm has some neat KotOR references
-
A pack with many different versions for everyone to chooss from sounds like a good idea I certainly will be using them, they look great

Porting his models from TSL to K1 is not against The rules (I think) as they Are completely custom made. So it's not porting of vanilla Game assets. Still, asking him is probably easier than someone else doing it since he has The original Model files.

K1R 1.2 Impressions and Bug-Reports [READ ME FIRST]
Kexikus replied to Fair Strides's topic in KotOR1 Restoration (K1R)
Maybe TSL Patcher has issues with Chinese characters in it's file path. So maybe try running it from a folder that has none of them in the file path. -
Very good! But I'll continue with tiny improvement suggestions anyway^^ (Sorry) I'd enlarge the screen a little bit so that there no longer is a black frame around it. This should make the entire GUI look more like a screen that shows a photo of the area currently loading and should help connect the picture with the techy outer part of the GUI. And I'd move the loading bar slightly downwards so that it no longer is directly adjacent to the picture.

Looking really good indeed. I would enlarge the KotOR logo so that it overlaps with the top part of the image. (The goal here is the increased size and not the overlap but I do like the latter so I wouldn't mind that^^) And I'd add an outline to the image since it seems a little disconnected from the rest of the GUI currently. A blue outline like in the original would be able to fix that I think.

Happy birthday And don't worry. We all know that there are more important things in life than modding. So don't feel bad and just do whatever you feel like doing, I'm sure it will be cool

I assume you have TSLRCM from the Steam workshop. If that's the case you'll need to install other mods into TSLRCM's Override folder and not into the normal TSL Override. There is an excellent guide called "KotOR II Steam Workshop Modding Guide" by Leonard available in TSL's Steam Community that explains how the workshop is far from an ideal modding setup and how to make sure that issues like yours don't happen.
-
Have a look at your Override and check the textures starting with either DAN or LDA depending on whether this is TSL or K1. Ideally you'd use something like XnView to find the one that is bothering you and then you'd simply delete it from the Override.

Newbie Question - Compiling .nss to .ncs file
Kexikus replied to Xythen's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
You can find the nwscript.nss file you need with Kotor Tool in "Kotor I / Kotor II -> BIFs -> scripts.bif -> Script, Source -> nwscript.nss" Make sure you grab the correct one for the game you're editing since they are not the same! -
First of all a big thank you to everyone who voted on my mods. 3 MOTY awards at once is way more than I ever expected so I'm honored that you all seem to like my mods I'll do my best to continue with these and put out the best mods I can. There are plans for 2017 and I hope you'll like whatever I'll put together as much as you liked these mods you voted for. Also, I want to use this occasion and thank everyone in this amazing community. I joined here approximately three years ago and in those years I've met many nice people here on Deadlystream and generally felt really good coming here for modding. Thank you everyone and if we continue this way the next years will be amazing as well. I'm definetly looking forward to it And finally, thanks for arranging the Mod of the Year awards. I hope these will continue as a great way to end all the coming years of great mods

No. You need 3ds max or gmax with the NWMax plug-in to open Kotor's ascii models. And to get the ascii models you need mdlops or KAurora to decompile and recompile the binary models the game actually uses. Both of those don't support all features so you need to choose the right one for whatever you're doing.
-
Do you have a separate mod that installs the HK factory? If so then that's probably the issue since TSLRCM already restores that so those would most likely conflict and could result in such issues.
-
Maybe, but then you can't blame KotOR for not working in FullHD because at that time FullHD didn't even exist.
-
Agreed! Every game should have that but I wouldn't expect it of such an old game. And I can't name any since I only play in Full HD but a friend of mine who plays in 4k runs into resolution issues regulary.
-
The game is 13 years old. What do you expect? At least it's possible unlike playing some modern games on resolutions higher than 1080p.
-
That's the one I use. It uses UniWS though. I never had any problems with it but if it doesn't work for you I'm afraid I can't help you either :/

He states that he did send Insidious a PM but he has no reply yet. On topic: That screenshot definetly looks badass. And if someone were to make a mod that adds hoods to the game and also makes them available ingame I'd definetly download and install it.

For 003atton.dlg: I had to add a script there to activate the animation of the asteroids flying by the ship during the escape from Peragus. If you want to make whatever mod installed 003atton.dlg and mine, just open yours from the Override, find the dialog branch for the escape from Peragus and add "bd_spawn_per" as the script fired on the first dialog node and "bd_reset" as the script fired on the last dialog node. For 222TEL15: As stated in the description, this file is from TSLRCM. The reason why mine is smaller is due to the fact that I did not add 3d Sith starships but 2d backdrops since they are way too small for the 3d model to have any benefit.

There are mods to fix the UI on widescreen. I never played K1 on any resolution lower than 1080p I think and it's working perfectly. But to get back on topic: The reskin looks great as always and I can't wait to see the second version with the included slave outfit.
