Those look just.. Incredible!.. You have achieved current-gen quality for about 50 models within an hour. Great job, I might have to PM you for pointers. We are well on our way to getting Kotor out of its aged state.

Looking good! Can't wait to see what you do with my favorite red-visored headband of all time (Verpine Headband?) Also I am very pleased that the Iridonian mercenary on Manaan will be getting a much needed facelift; with a new Iridonian helmet equippable for the player as well.

High Quality Blasters (Sithspecter's Disaster Blaster Remaster)
Malkior replied to Sithspecter's topic in Work In Progress
Sorry, SS. I thought you were making sort of elaborate joke by just showing the icons and saying you finished them all within an hour.. That said, I am quite impressed. I was basically going to attempt this exact thing, albeit at a time when I could actually do it, and you've delivered exactly what I wanted within the day you announced it. (BTW, the way the disruptor and repeating blaster carbines look is especially my favorite. ) -
High Quality Blasters (Sithspecter's Disaster Blaster Remaster)

Not to be rude, but, I don't get it. Those all look like they're sized to a tiny resolution. (Probably icons) ? -
Personally, Sion just *happening* to be on Korriban always bugged me. He would have to have known that the Exile stole Atris' database, and then also know it included a list of the Jedi masters. However, to draw the Exile into a trap, he would also have needed to know that they were looking for the Jedi which would include Vash. So, I agree it would actually be much better to say Sion was looking for Jedi to (I don't know, attack?), and that Vash was his next target. I imagine that the player will be right into selecting Korriban, preparing to meet Vash, when suddenly, a cutscene shows on-screen where Sion it turns out is also going there for essentially the same purpose. Maybe the player might actually be trying to stop Kreia's speeches because of their concern for Vash, and not because they're just impatient. :/

I for one, enjoyed your endless drive you displayed by uploading no less than three mods in a day. Keep on creating in whatever capacity you see fit. Hope you at least keep in touch via the forums or chat.

Indeed. I was more providing detailed ideas for how far a Hutt controlled planet could go based on what I'd seen in various media. I figure, if the team wants to go as far as they can with the designs, the source of the trend could be a good place to start. (Also I am very confident that the Hutts with eyewear from TCW which everyone's all but mentioning were inspired from Jeter's descriptions in his books or from other much older illustrated stories.)
-
I am suddenly reminded of the Hutts in Derek Jeter's Mandalorian Armor series, which had cybernetic eyes, arms, and even floating platforms to get around. (D'Harhan was also a 90% cyborg with a giant repeating plasma cannon strapped to his back; he wasn't a Hutt but it would be awesome to see something like that in-game )

I am so glad to hear you like it. I was wavering as to whether it was too subtle or if it looked good enough to release. I am indeed planning to release more skin detail mods like this for a variety of the characters. I did a small one for Mira, but with this newfound anatomical knowledge I might add my own "twist" to her design. Ultimately, I want to give all of the "underwear" character variations this same level of anatomy and skin realism, but starting out, I need some proofs of concept.

You might be right, but I still feel that Episode 1 - The Game was close to, if not, the best of the EP 1 games. It was incredibly underrated, and managed to have a much better adventure story than the movie it's based off of while still following close to it. If they could update it a bit, I could see it being a very interesting game to experience.

Have you considered using the Kotor comic series as reference? I've seen some really decent weapons and locations, so I'm sure there are some creative helmets as well.

File Name: Higher Detail Handmaiden Skin Retexture (Fit an Athletic Version) File Submitter: Malkior File Submitted: 08 May 2016 File Category: Skins TSLRCM Compatible: Yes This is a culmination of my work to attempt to add some level of accurate anatomy to the skin textures of various characters. Since FS recently uploaded his own edit of the Handmaiden's underwear model, I was tasked with editing a reskin of the Vanilla model I had previously been working on. This is that texture... Note: It is in fact derived from the Vanilla texture, except it was designed around Fairstride's aforementioned Handmaiden Fit and Athletic mod, and so would probably look best with it. -Technical Information: This texture uses my new technique of "adding" skin pores by overlaying some edited noise and using a few soft brushes to create the illusion of subsurface scattering. I had originally envisioned using an alpha layer to imitate light reflecting off of its surface, but it ended up looking a bit too metallic, and seemed to detract from the cleaner look you get in Vanilla. I still plan to try this out in subsequent builds, but right now this version looks the most appropriate to me. If there are alterations or changes you'd prefer, I would be more than happy to oblige. To Install: Drop in the Override Folder; If you don't have an Override folder, you will have to create one To Uninstall: delete or remove p_handmaidenBA.tga, p_handmaidenH.tga, and p_handmaiden.txi from the Override folder Permissions: I request that you credit me if you are to use this texture in your own mod Credits: The DeadlyStream community for their continued support of this rather odd hobby, Special thanks to FairStrides and LiliArch for their scrutiny and enthusiasm that I just upload this blasted thing already; Obsidian for creating Kotor 2, Bioware for creating Kotor 1 which lead to 2, Lucasarts for producing Kotor 1 and 2; Adobe for creating their Photoshop, and George Lucas for his part in creating this wild universe we've been living in for 30 years Click here to download this file

Granted, but this fight is disproportionally difficult compared to much of the game, and nets a ghastly amount of Darkside Points if you fail. For a Lightside playthrough, it is an unnecessary barrier that basically forces you to use the game's crappy Line of Sight detection in order to win. This could be possibly be mitigated if your affinity for the Light side potentially gave you a small advantage or buff, but frankly it would be easier if the enemy's force powers or HP were just lowered a bit.

Kotor 2 on steam for a special price
Malkior replied to Cadmius's topic in Knights of the Old Republic General
Same here, but I plan to get Rogue Squadron and/or X-Wing and Tie Fighter, as those are also in the sale (Although, disk copy of K2 is rather old, so who knows? -
The Mandalore mask is an absolute wishlist item for me. I retextured the default with a copy of the comic book texture, just to give you an idea of how much I've wanted this. Also, just as a heads-up, it looks like the visors aren't transparent in parts as you normally see in holographic visors. Does it have any alpha portions, but the metal pieces make it impossible to make the tron-like overlay effect, since you can't have a cubemap and transparency simultaneously? Other than that, you have achieved the Toastyfresh level of quality and man, I am looking forward to adding this mod to my Override.

All of these look good, especially the various goggles. I had an idea for a retex nearly identical to your "infragoggles", so that's awesome to see your take.

I've been looking for this utility since my last computer build! Thank you very much, Darth Parametric!

I never said the Indie Devs would become* AAA studios, just that their success could influence the marketing data the AAA industry uses to make decisions. Also, here's where EA decided to not add Single player: Ironically, it seems EA doesn't just believe it was a poor business choice; they apparently didn't want to do "too" much work.. ...but that's for an entirely different topic, I think.
-
I'm not exaggerating when I say I would have preferred the team that made those commercials to direct the movie. They somehow captured the feeling and character of each respective city and how they contrast while still keeping to every single detail. (After playing Arkham City, seeing a flyover of the Bowery was a pleasant surprise)
-
Some companies literally believe the Single player is a dead art form. Kind of sad when most of us who buy games specifically FOR the single player component get no new games, and every time a new multiplayer game comes out, it only lasts until the community gets bored, and without them is worse than useless.. At least some smaller Development houses are making games for their story, like the popular Indie Rogue-Like games or the hardcore difficulty games, X-Com or Dark Souls. Maybe the popularity of these games will change the AAA Dev's minds, and we can actually get a good Single player focused Star Wars game. :/

Ask the Developer of Revenge of Revan....a Question.
Malkior replied to Logan23's topic in Revenge of Revan
I just can't wait to see ROR's continuation of the Kotor story. Obsidian might have created a fascinating Galactic environment, but I feel it has so much more to offer after the endgame of TSL. TOR kind of helped, but it was set significantly later than the original timeline, and doesn't provide the same closure for me.
