  1. How about the profile header photo? I don't see any button to upload or edit one on my page πŸ€”
Now this what my OCD ass needed. Thanks AFP! Permanent spot in the mod list has been filled. P.S. an essential part for the playthrough - must haves!
  2. Ah... here it is, a beta result of my attempt to mix UnusualCharacters' submitted voice to make it sounds like Darth Revan like the one in SW:ToR. This is as far as I can go right now with the attempt but is actually pleased with the end-result; as for my ears, this one is quiet "Darth Revanly". As time goes by- and some tutorials dive-in , I'll try to figure out how to do it legitimately.

Note: I personally like the part from 0:23 to 0:26. It had that "Darth Revan" potential there.

Thanks for the hard work on figuring this filter out! If you could post a tutorial as well, that'd be much appreciated!

My pleasure UC! I kinda think it was a mistake to export the end-result to mono, I thought that'd do the trick πŸ˜‚ But I think I figured out one key element to his infamous voice; Modulator filter. Yes, I'm considering on doing one, but recently the Tutorials section is locked that I can't post one.

Sounds really good, but why on earth did you add filters to other characters who likely don't need it? I find it funny how UnusualCharacter even says "This character should not be filtered" in the demonstration.

Thanks! Yes N-DReW25, I already expected this question; and find it funny too actually πŸ˜‚ Yes, those lines after "Through power I gain" is not meant to Darth Revan's as UC intended, but I decided to use those assets in my attempt as I don't have any to work on to πŸ™ƒ And thank you for the feedback!

I'd suggest the video be posted on the Korriban Expansion thread but I'd want you not to have the music in the video.Β  Music hides the effect of the filter and I want folks in my thread to hear your filter unvarnished.

Yes, I'll have the voice only one ready soon & posted to the said thread. The reason I put the music here is to "beta" tested it; how does it sound with BGM playing. Thank you for the suggestion SH!

    E-Hawk Got Pimped

Every bed in Ebon Hawk just got pimped. Kind of a sponsorship agreement here.
  4. If I'm not mistaken you're creating a 3D printed lightsaber right? And I assume a lightsaber supposed to have a energy field in it too. So, you plan on planting some kind of device to your 3D printed one so it could glow & flicker like the "real" lightsaber?
  5. You thinking about creating the energy field too DP? πŸ™ƒ
  6. I don't know if it's just me or anyone else's facing the same problem but, your video is inaccessible VarsityPuppet πŸ€”
  7. Trying to mix Revan's voice [the masked one], and it was very tricky. Using "Republic Shadow of Revan Ending" as reference & UnusualCharacters' submitted voice as the worksheet; the vanilla masked Revan's voice has that modulating effect that is hard to guess. And figured out mixing Darth Malak's voice which is not masked; but kind of being robotic instead, is less brain-depleting than this one 😡

Have you tried using the stormtrooper filter tutorial (and not using the microphone turning on and off portions)Β to hear how that sounds?

Thanks SH! Took a glimpse view already and I am sure there are many positives to take from this tutorial which should be useful for my attempt on doing masked Revan's voice mix- I'm going to take a deep view at it later. Seriously, masked Revan's voice is different [I am using SW:ToR as reference]. It is not too "masky" and the end-result is deep. Holy πŸ‘

  9. "Knights of the Old Republic"- being a seven part movie like Harry Potter did; directed by Chris Nolan & his Syncopy Inc. Starred by idk- for mature Revan; the bearded Keanu Reeves maybe? πŸ˜‚ is one of a Helheim dream to ever happened.

  10. Fortunately Mellowtron11, I already got the vision of "what I must do on this occasion" which helped me a lot in that attempt. For comparison, while ago I looked at Darth Varkor's "SW:KotOR - The Lost Masters Movie" on Youtube and there was this alien with very weird voicing. IF- I have to do filters similar to that alien; Wow. I don't know, maybe it would take forever I'd supposed πŸ˜‚ And yes, it was worth it! I learned a lot from doing this attempt which I believe will do me good because doing audio-visual stuffs is my passion. Thank you for the kind words Mellowtron11 & DarthVarkor- very much appreciated them; some motivation for me also there
  11. Yes, that's what I mean! Haha, I'm sorry if my words got you all confused πŸ™ƒ I already look at the latest attached video. And now I am certain it is some cuts to the lower frequencies and I think this one is essential too; set the output to mono maybe? πŸ€” Edit: Okay, after further review of Revan's voice in the video you just attached- filters are needed. My bad! And I think it's compression filter that would do some work there.
  12. I'm not sure that those filters starting from 9:09 was meant to be the Revan's voice. What I'm trying to say, doesn't it sounds more like reverb-ambient that supposed to be produced if someone behind a mask talking in a room or an auditorium? I doubt if Revan was speaking outdoor-for example; in a desert, would produce the same result. That was just me thinking. But speaking of the filter that will create a vocal effect similar to the one used on Revan's mask in this video; it would be "room reverb"- and some cut to the low frequencies too. How much? I don't really know as I don't have legitimate knowledge in regards to sound engineering πŸ˜…
  13. Congrats mrmann! And thank you SH, it is my pleasure to be involved in this project Thank you for suggesting me to post a tutorial for the Darth Malak's voice filter. I'm taking it into consideration; as I have to gather all materials needed for the tutorial. As for UnusualCharacter and LiliArch, I am looking forward to hearing your voices in-game! Soon as I get this seems-like-forever KotOR playthrough done πŸ’€
  14. My pleasure DP! Yes, forgot to mention that is the extended part. I already have the plan for the retraction part so, I think I could pulled it off; only hope it would not be a mess then πŸ˜‚ Note there's a flickering sound if you wonder what that is [that one as close as I can get to a unique flickering sound- doing it from scratch] πŸ™ƒ I'll reach out again soon
  15. I use FL Studio 12 Producer Edition to be specific. There are 2 effects and/or filters I am using; first is Vocodex and second is "Hardcore" modulator. I'd say lots of tweaking had been done to both plug-ins, but the vocal point of this attempt is: Using multiple layers of vanilla Malak's voice.
  16. Assuming that you downloaded the mod from Deadly Stream; would you mind take a look at the attachment below? That should do the trick. But try to make sure to install BoS:SR before K1R or any other mods [it worked for me- at least]. Note: The process of the installation should do just fine. But as in my playthrough I haven't yet to the point to trigger BoS:SR quest, I can't guarantee you there would be no errors occuring after.
  17. Wow that was some insights there Malkior; thanks for sharing! And yes, after I do a preview test it really sounds that the vanilla Darth Malak's voice has a little bit of-or much "low-mid rattling" frequencies in his voice. Some modulation tweak maybe? I already put a modulation filter there but decided to keep it low. Would you like me to send the file to you or let SH do it? And which one do you need; the vanilla or the filtered one? And thank you for your appreciation- some motivation for me there 😁
  18. A preview of an as-close-as-it-could-gets attempt to filter Malak voice to sounds like Darth Malak in KotOR. Keep in mind that this is not my voice πŸ˜‚ I got the file from SH while ago & have a get go with this attempt. Sounds like the voice of Darth Malak in KotOR has multiple layer on his track; I decided to go with two layers and do some edits to them with this result. The program I am using is Fruity Loops. Any constructive feedbacks and/or questions are very much appreciated!
  19. Ha! here it is DP; my attempt to do custom SFX for your custom blaster. I have no idea how it's going to be as it's not beta tested yet πŸ˜‚ [but I am certain this file's going to work in-game]. Note that it is not exactly at 352kbps- it's 705kbps instead. But I am sure there would be no a problem at all because in my current KotOR playthrough, I am using some customized .WAV that rated at 705kbps and they worked just fine. Looking forward for some feedbacks πŸ˜‚ DP's SWTOR-Style Zakuulan Exile's Blaster.wav
  20. Okay I'll see what I can do. And if it's done, what format should it be then? Is it the same as any action .WAV which should be in mono?
  21. Would you mind if I tried to make you one? This intrigues me πŸ˜€
  22. There was this trick, and it works for me. But first of all, the program I am using on this process is Fruity Loops. I don't know if Audacity, Cubase or elses would do. The point is, you could actually edit the vanilla ".WAV" without having it decompressed by Miles' and then convert and saving again; all like a charm. First, copy the file that you want to work on and then paste it to a brand new folder. Second, change the file [the one that you paste to the new folder] extension from .WAV to .MP3. Third, you could just drag-and-drop the .MP3 file to the track section of the program you were using [in this case I am using Fruity Loops]. Fourth and final step; do what you want, and then you could just save and convert the project either to .MP3 or .WAV. As if quoted from ndix UR; "working in lossless and exporting to lossy is just a general best practicο»Ώe". This process doesn't seem to work like one unfortunately πŸ€” Hope this works for you, and/or everyone reading it
  23. Unfortunately I don't Lili. But I just figured something out while ago 😁 Hope I'm not talking out of topic right now but, did you try to edit and/or add filters to vanilla sounds Lili?
