2 pointsYou need to pick up your copycat game by changing your avatar to a picture of an Exile in a black t-shirt shrugging. It could still have the Mythosaur logo on it. Tsk, tsk. That's what you get for being a dirty local string user and not properly appending new strings to the TLK.

2 pointsIn KOTOR 1 my favorite planet is all of them. Even Maanan. But if I could only pick one it would be Korriban. In K2 my favorites are Dantooine and Nar Shaddaa.

2 pointsZez Kai-Ell had the same weakness as the other Jedi- losing the Force, upon which their power was centered. All of rhem saw the Exile's growing power as a threat because they thought it would lead to the destruction of the Force .

This mod is a retexture of a majority of the effects for both Kotor 1 and Kotor 2. It basically started when I changed the spark texture, and then just kept on going. The mod assets are pretty simple to use, you just pick which texture you want to add to your game, and put them into your Override folder. The lightning has an alternate file in case you are interested in force lightning more akin to the movies (where it has no conjure animation) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pasted from Readme: {..) Description: This is a retexture of all of the effects in both Kotor games. It's simple in design, but has a huge impact on the look and feel of gameplay. Included are changes to the Sparks thrown when weapons impact enemies or walls, the lightning and drain effects, the fireball and ion explosion textures, the rain and snow textures in K2, the shape and size of the explosion particles, and an alternative texture to the mine detection overlay which makes them less like a bright red ball. {..>To Install: Drop all applicable files into the Override Folder. If you don't currently have an override folder, then you'll have to create one. I have separated the textures into corresponding folders for easier choice of what you would like to install The files are also separated by game, since Kotor 2 has rain and snow, while Kotor 1 does not. {..<To Uninstall, either remove or delete the files contained in this download from your Override folder. {..<Compatibility: This mod uses a few model .mdl and .mdx files in order to fully change the spark retexture. If you have any of them already in your override, they may conflict. {..>Possible Future Changes or Additions: I am considering changing the explosion animation file and if possible, the very structure of explosions. However, that will probably be a bit later after I have read more into the effects files. {..<Credits: Stevo and Rece for testing my Spark retexture to ensure compatibility, TriggerGod for his permission to use his lightning texture as a base Adobe for their Photoshop, Lucasarts as both Bioware and Obsidian for making the Kotor games, The very special community on DeadlyStream for their constant feedback and assistance, And lastly, George Lucas, for creating the Star Wars movies which has since spawned its ever expanding universe... -

Train the Disciple By jc2 Atton can be trained to use the force forms and lightsaber techniques that the PC learns on his/her journey, however, the Disciple cannot. At a loss for why this would not be, jc2 has undertaken an effort to rebalance this issue. Keeping in mind the sister mod, Train the Handmaiden, which set out in 2017, nearly 2 years prior to address the same issue for the Handmaiden, jc2 has come full circle. Therefore, it is the entire effort of this mod to allow the PC to train the Disciple in all 7 of the lightsaber forms, four force forms, and three force techniques. Lightsaber techniques: Ataru Form -Juyo Form - Shii Cho Form - Soresu Form - Makashi Form - Niman Form - Shien Form Force forms: Force Potency Form- Force Mastery Form -Force Focus Form - Force Affinity Force techniques: Breath Control - Beast Trick -- Force Sight The PC must have learned these techniques in order to train the Disciple on them. Incompatibilities: None so far. Compatible with Party Swap & any mod that edits disciple.dlg, because Train the Disciple does not edit disciple.dlg in any way. Files used: jc2_coms.uti, deadmerc_cont.utp (Dantooine corpses within Enclave next to Statue), jc2_disciple.dlg, spells.2da & globalcat.2da (correctly patched with tslpatcher). Installation: Run Tslpatcher See Readme for further details and information, before installing. Credits: Sith Holocron for VO splicing Deadlystream for hosting & Tyvokka for hosting deadlystream! ZYBL2 for quick explanation of lips files stoffe for the tslpatcher Jesus the Christ Feedback is always appreciated, regardless of its nature. I hope you enjoy! -
1 pointHey everyone! After a very long two months of commitments to other things outside KOTOR, I'm finally properly back. Episode II: Echoes of the Past has officially entered production! ~ DV
-
1 pointSince JCarter426 made a blog about it, I'm going to do it. Cannot let my freeloading identity of jc2 go to waste! With further ado, much further. I offer you a warm welcome to what my colleague calls a "mod round up," which actually is a decent title, albeit a bit boring. *shot fired* Here is my equally as mediocre attempt at informing whatever public audience I might have about the status of my mods. Welcome to jc2's Modding CHECKUP - EXTRAVAGANZA ! Alright, it's been nine months since I've released LME and I've heard of no bugs, only a few spelling errors. The dlg editor eats all of your apostrophes if you copy and paste text into that, I learned this way later, and, as it turns out, I use a fair amount of them in my content. But, still, I'm glad to know that my testing and my testers were able to find all of the major bugs. So for those who care greatly about grammar, well, there are a few lines that might hurt your eyes, my apologies. LME remains at version 1.00. until someone reports some bug or I get around to playing through it and find the bugs/typos myself. Shanilia was updated to 1.7 version. There were several dialogue options that would get locked because of poor scripting, just resulting in less immersive content. I went to all the effort of adding them in, only for them to be bugged, so that's been fixed. Minor overall, but still important to the added content for Shanilia to speak about Jolee, Korriban, Manaan, Leviathan, etc... Not sure if my portrayal of Revan in that mod was as good as it could have been, but it was nice to have someone who actually knew Revan still care. The Sith betray you and the only one that actually admires what you did as Revan is Canderous, so Shanilia is meant to off-balance that and reveal a bit more about the Mandalorian Wars. And thanks to this update more of that content can be explored. Train the Disciple was released, which allows the PC to train the Disciple in the ways of the force, just like Atton and other companions can be. It was designed to be compatible with any Disciple mod, for it uses its own jc2_disciple.dlg file. It's sister mod, Train the Handmaiden, was updated to 2.00 to match the genius of Train the Disciple and also be compatible with other Handmaiden mods, in the same way. Save Mission 1.5a is the current version. It was updated slightly, reworked some of the lines to better match responses/replies and fixed a typo. I now understand why modders do not want their files scattered across the four corners of the internet, because they'd have to update all of them, which is tedious! Just deadlystream and nexusmods alone cause me a headache to update. Not that either site are not modder friendly, far from it, just tedious to document all the changes, update readme, update description, screenshots, files, etc... According to Deadlystream: Improved Grenades 3,848 downloads Revenge on Sassy Sith Lady 3,664 downloads While on nexusmods: Save Mission 4.2k downloads, 3.1 unique downloads Train the Handmaiden 4.3k downloads, 3.4 unique downloads Very strange to me that these different communities would value different mods, but as someone said, being on /r kotor's mod build list affects the download count, which is the case for the deadlystream mods. However, the nexusmod mods do not have the blessing of /r kotor but stand quite tall on their own. *Cough cough* maybe Train the disciple & handmaiden might be included some day *cough cough*

1 pointAt some point in the near (and I mean near) future, I'll be putting out a mod that changes a few things regarding the Exile's clothing in TSL, cause those random commoner clothes aren't cutting it. Soon™

1 pointIt's too bad Vrook wasn't the one who went to Korriban, not Vash. I don't like associating Dantooine with him.
-
1 pointI love the lines you get when you are fighting Vrook as a Dark Sider. How shocked he is when you show him how fast you do learn his saber form.
-
1 pointYou know the one thing that stood out about Vrook and I really didn't like? When you see him in Dantooine in K2, he's all friendly with that lady governor- forget her name. But he's always so harsh to you. And apparently anyone else who is junior in the Jedi.
-
1 pointYeah Zez, Kavar and Atris are the only Masters I like. Vrook? Vrook is a dick. First he says the Exile was mediocre then he is ungrateful when he gets rescued. My first characters for both K1 and K2 fell to the darkside after first meeting him. At least the Exile got to kill him. Yep, I really enjoy the planet. All the planets were well done in KOTOR 1. K2's planets were pretty depressing in comparison.
-
1 pointAt first I was like, this elevator music on Manaan! Nooo! But now I wouldn't change it for the world. Too many good memories associated with that music. Plus the Sith base is awesome.
-
1 pointTrue, but that was my honest reaction the first time I played the game.
-
1 pointMy Sith Marauder doesn't kill Zez on Nar Shaddaa because Zez is the only one who doesn't come off as arrogant and he's wants to confront what went wrong with the Jedi Order.
-
1 pointI was just about to post the Zez/Exile conversation from the end of the Nar Shadda questline from LP archive too. Like you said, Zez did admit the Council screwed up by not looking inward. "Nor were we. The day we cast you out, that is the moment I decided to leave the Order. Because I do not believe we truly faced the reasons you were exiled, and if we do not examine such truths, then we are already lost." https://lparchive.org/Knights-of-the-Old-Republic-II/Update 17/
-
1 pointAlright, here it is. Just unzip and copy the files from the folder to your override folder. Effixians_Disciple_Alternative.zip Keep the zip file to know which files you need to remove from the override folder in case you want to uninstall.

======================================================== A KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC II: (THE SITH LORDS) MODIFICATION Extended Enclave 2.5.2 (TSLRCM 1.8.6. Add-On) ======================================================== Authors: danil-ch & Darth Hayze 1. Description: ---------- This is an extended version of the Rebuilt Enclave sequence. We went through the dialogs as modified by TSLRCM and compared them to the original versions and made changes and restored additional dialog based on developer notes, etc... The following scenes have been modified: 1. "Did you not go to join him?" Brianna approaches Kreia before the dialog with the Masters starts, and Kreia has additional lines. 2. "It is not as it was..." The sequence with the Jedi Masters has been extended with additional dialog from the masters themselves, and when reading the minds of your party, all but Hanharr/Mira are now represented. Depending on whether you learned how to read the character’s minds, or spoke to Atton about playing Pazaak, lines may change. 3. "You have failed me. Completely, and utterly." Kreia's confrontation with the Exile now includes several minutes of new dialog. Some of the additional dialog is dependent on your influence level with Kreia, i.e. the scene will have different lines at the end if you have high, low, or 'neutral' influence with Kreia. 4. "The exile is dead. We have lost - it is over." After Kreia tells the Handmaiden(s) that the Exile is no more, they board the hawk, Brianna/Sisters informs the crew of the Exile's passing, Kreia tells them the one who waits in the darkness will now be revealed, and then leaves for Atris. 5. "I know you can hear me." The scene with the Exile reading the party's minds has been extended with dialog from Atton, Bao-Dur and Canderous. 6. "If you don't warn them" The scene with Kreia and Mical has been placed back in the original location as an extension of one of the Kreia/Mical scenes on the Hawk. 7. "I have never needed you." Sion now receives word of the Exile's fate on Dantooine and decides to confront an old friend. 8. Numerous bug fixes and tweaks to this scene to make it run smoothly. In addition, there is now a shot of Nihilus' ship before the scene with him and Tobin. 2. Install: ---------- (It is highly recommended that you update your game to version 2.10 (the 1.0b update) before installing this mod.) As this is an add-on for TSLRCM, TSLRCM 1.8.6 is REQUIRED. This is an add-on for TSLRCM, it will not work otherwise. So have that installed. First, if you do not have M4-78 installed at this time, you only need to follow TSLRCM Step 1 below. If you do have M4-78 installed, or at any later date you install it, you will need to follow M4 Step 2 below. TSLRCM Step 1: To install, extract the Extended Enclave folder to anywhere you like, as long as it is not the SWKotOR2 folder. When you run the installer, it will present you with two options, for TSLRCM only, select Standalone option and run it. M4-78 Step 2: If you DO have the M4-78 installed, after running the TSLRCM Standalone installer, run the M4-78 Compatibility patch and follow the instructions presented to you. 3. Uninstall: ---------- There has been a backup made of the modified files, within a folder titled 'backup' in the 'Main Patch" folder. Simply copy 650DAN.mod, 003EBO.mod, 907MAL.mod, and 904MAL.mod into your Modules folder and delete 020EBO.mod, and 856NIH.mod, and you will have reverted to TSLRCM 1.8.6. 4. Bugs: ---------- This has been tested several times to make sure nothing weird happens. If you find anything, let us know. 5. Distribution Notes: ---------- This mod may not be modified or distributed without the explicit permission of the authors. 6. Thanks: ---------- Thanks go the entire TSLRCM team; your work has been outstanding. 7. Credits: ---------- AUTHORS: danil-ch and Darth Hayze: Pretty much most stuff, this included lots of scripting, vo splicing, picking up slack when one of us disappeared, etc... 0 pointsFYI, the source file from skills.2da should be taken from patch.erf and not global.rim or 2da.bif. @ebmar noticed the patch archive and we explored its contents a bit. It contains a minor description fix for the awareness skill. That gets undone by this mod since it's using the unpatched version of skills.2da as the source in tslpatchdata.

0 pointsThat's why 98% of the time I play K2 I go darkside after talking to him. He is such a dick. Always talking down to Jedi. To make matters worse if you go darkside and fight him he is probably the hardest master to kill. I thought surviving Malak's bombardment would have made him humble. But no same old Vrook.

0 pointsOof. ("Two Women Accuse Skyrim Composer Jeremy Soule Of Sexual Misconduct" on Kotaku.)
