    Recruit T3-M4 Early Mod v1.1 ====================================== By brents742 ============ Version Notes ============= v1.0 - 4/7/2021 - Initial release v1.1 - 4/9/2021 -Added instructions for a third party member to exit out the main gate in the Taris Undercity as opposed to the base game only giving instructions to two party members as that's all you're supposed to have at that point in the game. This solves an issue where the cutscene to save Hendar would seemingly go on forever. Requirements ============ None Installation ============ STEAM VERSION USERS: You MUST select your Steam workshop SWKOTOR directory if you have modded via Steam before. Once you have located your Steam workshop override folder, copy k_ptar_openbase.ncs, k_ptar_opengate, and tar02_janice021.dlg to your override folder. Do not use the main SWKOTOR directory. There will be a new dialogue option that allows you to purchase T3 from her early. -If you have recruited T3 before speaking to Canderous about the military base, Canderous will mention that your T3 unit will be able to get you in. This uses existing voice work found within the game that would seem to indicate it was the developer's intention at some point to let you recruit T3 earlier than possible in the launch version. -The Sith Military Base will not open until speaking to Canderous just like vanilla. However, if you're up for a challenge, feel free to delete k_ptar_openbase.ncs and break into the Military base whenever you please with T3! Compatibility ============= IMPORTANT - This mod relies upon the files k_ptar_openbase.ncs, k_ptar_opengate, and tar02_janice021.dlg to work. Any mod that plays with these files will break this one. What Specifically does this mod do? =================================== -tar02_janice021.dlg was modified to give a new purchase dialog option when asking Janice Nall about T3-M4. This option will cycle into existing dialog as if you told Janice Canderous sent you. From here, everything goes as it normall does. -k_ptar_openbase.ncs was modified to prevent the player from entering the Sith Military Base before the game intends you to do so. Once you speak to Canderous, T3 will be able to open the door to the Military Base as usual. You can delete this if you want in to the Military Base early. -k_ptar_opengate.ncs was modified to give MoveTo instructions to a third party member while trying to save Hendar in the Taris Undercity. The original script only gave instructions to exit the gate to two party members as that is all you are intended to have at this stage in the game.     Mahalo for checking out my first mod! I hope you'll enjoy using it to make some broken characters. I made this mod because I wasn't quite happy with the the Persuade skill change that was included in jonathan7's Character Start Up Change and I wanted something that would fit vanilla a little bit better while offering more freedom in terms of character customization. You got two flavors of this mod: 1) Choose Starting Feats is the default. Each non-Jedi class keeps all armor & weapon proficiencies and any automatically granted feats, but I have removed the two attack feats each class got. Each class now has 3 feat points to use at the start. This is what I personally use and what I would recommend if you want something that is still close to the vanilla experience. 2) Full Customization removes every feat from all three non-Jedi classes except for Armor Proficiency: Light and any automatically granted feats. With this version, Soldier now starts with 9 feats, Scout gets 7, and Scoundrel has 6 feats. I also adjusted the auto-level recommendations for the increased amount of feats, so the game will recommend the same feats each class starts out with in vanilla and will continue to follow the recommendations it would make in the vanilla game. This means Quick Characters, auto-level, and the Recommend button should not "forget" you have more feat points at the start and not waste any feat points. Both versions use TSL Patcher to install, so this should be extremely compatible with a lot of mods. I have not tested it with K1R personally, but I do know it works with the Community Patch at the very least. I have marked it for the time being to be compatible with K1R since the patchers only make edits to the feats available at release.     Changes Juhani's appearance to a more pleasant looking Cathar woman in game, based on official Star Wars graphic novel visual concepts/references. Released: 12 March 2015 Author: Cerez Description: Based on official, Star Wars Expanded Universe visual references, this mod completely changes Juhani's hostile default appearance in the game to a more-broadly-accepted-canon-like, unique, young Cathar woman players can find more relatable, to compliment her story arc. A number of years were spent detail refining this mod to make it feel like it was always meant to be a part of the original game. Instructions: Place all the files in the Files folder into your game's Override folder. To make best use of this mod, I recommend also copying the files in the Extra folder to Override, because they serve to fix some debilitating bugs in Juhani's quest, and restore some of her removed dialogue from the original game -- therefore completing her involvement in the game's story. Credits: This mod is built on Shem's "Juhani - Total Makeover" mod, which used Mjpb3's head skin as a base, and its head model was exported/made by Kha.     Thank you to all who have taken the time to view my content. I give permission to use my mods in any future projects with the appropriate credit. This mod is designed to tap into the nostalgia of first creating your character in K1 by changing the feats of the starting Jedi Classes of TSL to mirror those found in K1. The perceived lack of uniqueness between the classes in TSL formed the basis of this project. I also hope it addresses the notion of being granted feats that the player would not necessarily use or be able to master throughout the game depending on class feat progression. Jedi Guardian = Soldier Jedi Sentinel = Scout Jedi Consular = Scoundrel Changes 1. Protagonist Jedi Guardian is granted Armor Proficiency Light, Medium & Heavy, Power Attack, Power Blast, Weapon Proficiency Blaster Pistol, Blaster Rifle, Melee Weapons & Lightsaber, Force Jump, Jedi Sense, Jedi Defense, and War Veteran at Character Generation. 2.   10. So, I decided to try re-working a Darth Sion wearable robes mod I started a while back. Originally, I'd gone into GIMP and combined PMBAM and N_SionA textures so that the model could have one unique texture. I'd been borrowing bare male chest textures from this mod for testing purposes. This mod was never released because I have no artistic ability of my own and didn't intend on stealing the author's work. I thought that maybe it would be better in the meantime to have the model use the pre-existing textures. In order to do this, I used KOTORmax to split the torso into two separate meshes. I linked the new mesh (lower torso) to the OdysseyBase and to the best of my ability added bones and removed unnecessary bones from the upper torso mesh. When I exported a model that was successfully able to be converted back to binary (via MDLedit), this was the result, both the upper and lower torso meshes appearing invisible: The meshes are set to render and I checked to make sure no normals were inverted, so I'm not sure where I went wrong. There's nothing wrong with the shadows' animations so I assume it's not a bone thing. I found this topic where someone who had a similar invisibility issue, but that was for an area model and had to do with lightmapping. The ascii model I imported into gmax was exported out of Blender so I don't know if that had anything to do with it either.
  11. Is there any way to reset Characters? I have a little trouble on Nar Shadaa where I should sell T3 to Kodin but since I threatened him, he won't talk to me any more and I can't progress in the Story of Voggas Warehouse. It's bugging me for a while and I can't find any Solution online or within the Game itself. So I decided to ask here. I already searched for Kodin in the Character Editor of the KOTOR Tool but couldn't find any Settings for that particular kind of Action. If this isn't possible it would also be fine to restart Nar Shadaa entirely since I'm not that far in and might that be possible without a previous safe? I hope my request is reasonable and the Problem somewhat fixable, Thanks a lot in advance!

It also makes Jedi Malak into a Selectable PC Head, complete with custom portrait. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Just run the Jedi Malak PC Head and Fixed Animations.exe file included in the download and the TSL Patcher will do the rest. BUGS: Due to the fact that the Jedi Malak model is much taller than the other PC models, there will be some slight bugs here and there with camera angles. This mod is designed to tap into the nostalgia of first creating your character in K1 by changing the feats of the starting Jedi Classes of TSL to mirror those found in K1. The perceived lack of uniqueness between the classes in TSL formed the basis of this project. I also hope it addresses the notion of being granted feats that the player would not necessarily use or be able to master throughout the game depending on class feat progression. Jedi Guardian = Soldier Jedi Sentinel = Scout Jedi Consular = Scoundrel Changes 1.
