  1. OH MY GOD.. @_*(%_)*%_)*#)(&%)_(*@!!!!!!!! figures... so I just re extracted the setup file to the main Gmax folder and everything works fine. But I did just reinstall Gmax just to my C drive instead of within the program filesx86 folder...don't know if that had anything to do with it but there ya go. I'm still shaking my head. Sorry, having a ridiculously bad day
  2. thats it, im done..

both kind of, not really done with everything but I need to finish it up and get it out. time to go.

  3. Ok yeah will try that. What i did just do was to move the NWMax folder to Gmax's main folder, and that seems like it did *something*..plugins were loading but the NWMax skinny side menu didnt load up.. F11 showed me this nwpaste.txt
  4. Oooh..uuum..I dont know. I just extracted the 0.7 zip file into c;\program files(x86)\Gmax\scripts it's actually called "NWMax-Gmax-0_7setup.exe" and it's the one I used to setup before, but that was awhile ago. found this readme in the the folder with it after installing (Preferred method) Quick install instructions for auto start users: 1. Extract the zip file to the gmax\scripts directory. You should now have a new folder called NWmax (case is not important) 2. move the file autonwmax.ms to the folder <some path>\gmax\scripts\startup\ 3. start gmax NWmax should now start automatically So I thought I did that right, but I have no idea whats going on.. Quick install instructions for users wanting to start NWmax by hand 1. Extract the zip file to the gmax\scripts directory. You should now have a new folder called NWmax (case is not important) 2. start gmax 3. run the script nwmax.ms
  5. So I ended up reinstalling Gmax and now I'm having a most frustrating problem.. nwmax won't start. I did what the readme said and extracted nwmax into c; program fies\Gmax\scripts, then moved autonwmax.ms to scripts\startup, but still not having any luck. The green NWmax icon is on my desktop, and also tried to start the script manually by using the "run script" in Gmax but nothing is happening. Green desktop icon is not starting it. No idea what to do. heeeeeelllllp
  6. Like making the border thinner? Changing the shape? What i had in mind originally was just keeping the contours of the lines but removing any trace of the actual panel, know what I mean? Like blacking out the panel but keeping the lines intact so you could make them different bright neon colors or whatever. But, I got stuck messing around with edge effects and also came up with a replacement for my beloved copper border...
  7. So I've been sitting here trying to come up with something cool for a pause screen for awhile now.. This has been one of those tangents from hell... I have something I like that I'm trying to incorporate but everything else looks like bunk. To me anyways..the background circuit board I thought looked nifty, but I'm still not sure what to do for the actual border. Using the edge detect effect looks alright maybe...? Not sure if Star Warsy...? ;P I dont even know why I'm posting this..
  8. No they don't. But at this point there's no way to stop the baremetal texture from applying itself right over the shredded part of the robe. So the only other way to fix it would be to copy and paste a whole robe into the map section for it. Not to mention that was the entire reason I was revisiting this mod in the first place - because I had only just discovered how to make the armor parts shiny. The original version will still be there, (but you have to use KSE or cheat code them in) but I think I'm going to finish this up and get it out soon.
  9. The original author (Darth Darkus) only screenshotted his original release of the robe mod with the hood mod shown. The Armored Robes mod doesn't come with them. I believe Canderis is the author of the hoods mod, ....yes, here it is.. https://sites.google...ds/tsl/hood-mod When I release another version I will make sure to remove Darkus' old pics so no one thinks that the hoods come with this mod.
  10. Awww, why didn't I think of this before? Just remove the freyed robe for an intact one. Personally I think I'd rather have the shiny armor parts tbh, but would other peope miss the shredded robes? So it's either or..robe shredding or shiny armor pieces. You be the judge. Unless somebody wants to have a crack at it who better knows what they're doing. I could do the preliminary work (again ) and post the files.
  11. Eh, that would be with the baseitems.2da Thought about making them their own items but I dont know think that would help the cm_baremetal being all over it.
  12. Cool thanks. Hey if Kain wanted to make a new version for KotOR 1 from the new 8.1 version with the new cyan double bladed model and textures he is welcome to it.
  13. Yeah I dont know. The whole robe_Geo mesh was cm_baremetal, when it was supposed to be seperate from the rest of the model and textures. Even when I removed the Alpha channel from the robe texture. All I can think is it won't matter because both textures are on the same model. Well, I give up again. I tried it. Cant get it to work. Thanks all, appreciate the help, really!
  14. Ok. Ill give it a shot. And we're still talking about seperate textures now right? So my PMBI06a would have this function? And is there anything else I need to put in the .txi?
  15. Hey all, Well, after saying I wasn't going to bother trying ..I tried. Got an interesting result. I have a seperate body model from the original PMBIM's called PMBIM06, with 2 textures attached to it. PMBI06 and PMBI06a. PMBI06 is for the main torso and arms and hands. PMBI06a is just the outer robe completely seperated by itself on a transparent background. The alpha channel is still on it. Removing the alpha channel made no difference though. So what do you think? How to get the whole robe to not be shiny and still have the shredding at the bottom of it? Whats my next step?
  16. Hey really really good job. Really. Playing through with this head now. Looks great.
  17. Hey, anyone know if there's any sort of limit on how many cameras can be placed in a module?

      I wasn't being sarcastic...

The value of the Camera ID field is an INT and if it's unsigned 32-bit (4 bytes) like a lot of the KotOR info, then the maximum value it can hold is 65,535.

      Wow, that's still a LOT!

Ok, I was just making sure before I restarted my playthrough. But I figured out that I re-entered the Ebon Hawk too early so it still wasn't there.

  18. Hey, Having a problem getting DeNCS to work after upgrading to Windows 10. I have tried different installs of Java, redownloaded Java JRE 1.6.0 (at least I think I have the right one) and installed it again but that didn't help. Not getting an option to run as administrator, as it's grayed out and not selectable. nwscript.nss is in the KotOR Tool folder (even though i cant see it) with DeNCS, and nwnsscomp.exe... It just won't start. Dont know what to do and if I can't decompile what I need...arrrgh
  19. It doesn't?? It should..Duplisaber runs off new base items..
  20. Uh, yeah. I assumed you had already mapped and skinned it. That's a whole 'nother tutorial, and I hardly remember how to do it myself.. but hitting 'm' should bring up the material editor..if that helps.
  21. I would start by downloading and exploring KotOR Tool. http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/280-kotor-tool/ Many tutorials to jump into http://www.lucasforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=592 Don't know about model viewers, someone else might know. Also having something like Photoshop or Gimp might help. I would put a link down for Gimp 2.8, but it appears their domain is not active at the moment.
  22. Alright, here you go. It's definately not great - there's no sound since i dont have a mic or a headset or anything like that, but hopefully you'll get the jist. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CENPQCK099Q If you have any questions, I'll answer as best I can. Expand the "show more" drop down to read whats actually happening. And my Gmax went wonky way back when I reinstalled it on Windows 7. There are settings I had I don't remember, so when i select one viewport, the others go white. Don't know how to fix it...maybe someone here does, LOL.
