Assume for the sake of argument, I'm looking at a $1000 budget with a DEFINITE requirement on Windows 7. What would you choose on ibuypower? You build should be able to play SWTOR with all settings to maximum. (Any further commentary of Win8 will be deleted from this thread. I covered that I didn't want it more than once and so it's off-topic.)
-
Not going with Win 8 which I stated from the very beginning. I might wait until the 15th to order a computer as I'll get my next check then. However, don't let that stop the flow of suggestions!
-
I suppose I just don't have the time and patience to build a complete computer by myself. If anyone sees a deal out there on a computer that has Win 7, and can play both TOR and both of the KOTORs on Woot.com or elsewhere, shoot me a PM or drop a message in this thread. As I have my own mod I must get ready for coming up, speed is a factor.

Thanks for the info guys. If you have suggestions for other PC desktops with Win 7, I am willing to hear about it. Remember that I am just looking for the tower.

Hey guys! Two topics - but on a similar subject - to follow... Part 1 I need some computer advice. Many of you might now know that my previous computer has decided to not function properly anymore. (I'm currently using my old XP computer that i grabbed out of the basement.) Not having a computer isn't an option so I think I've found that might be a worty replacement. Is this computer a decent deal? Give me some pros and cons because I'm ready to get back in the game. The most graphic intensive game I plan to play on my next computer is Star Wars: The Old Republic and the Mass Effect series. (I don't play the latest shooters like Call of Duty or Battlefield, for example.) I don't need a new monitor or printer/scanner as my old ones are fine. I also will take the blu-ray burner out of the old computer and stick it in one of the open bays on the new one. If the graphics card is a little weak, which reasonably priced replacement would you recommend for this build? I also don't need a mouse or keyboard but if they are going to throw one in, so be it. I also do not want Windows 8. Windows 7 is the highest jump I'm willing to go for in OS. (My old computer was - *shudders* - a Vista.) A quick response on opinions of the computer would be appreciated as I'd rather not miss a sale. Part 2 My other question: could someone direct me to a very easy to understand guide of how to get information from one desktop PC to another? I'm usually not one to tinker inside the computer so this would have to be a dumbed-down type of guide. The old computer was Vista, the new one will likely be Windows 7 - if that helps you at all to help me. Thanks for reading this wall of text!

When I get around to playing the ME trilogy, I'll look for reviews.

Worth Uploading? Slim Sabers mod.
Sith Holocron replied to LancerChronics's topic in Work In Progress
LancerChronics, can you make you saber blades in your proposed mod flicker like they do in the movie? Kainzorus, I just did a search for that this morning, having remembering having seen it it over at Filefront once upon a time. I believe what you're looking for is Handmaiden Reskin by Kaiden Verak. -
Looks like I have another voice part approved . . . this one is for "The Jedi Masters 2.0" by Trex,

So . . . now that you made the correct conversation choice, did it work correctly?

Bugs and minor inconveniences with TSLRCM 1.8
Sith Holocron replied to Hassat Hunter's topic in TSLRCM
The Exile's favored hand is her right. Kreia's favored hand was her left. Kreia may be referring to her own injury but Kreia is making the situation applicable to the Exile's, so the Exile can learn to strengthen her off-hand saber capability. I don't think it's an error. -

SPOILERS AHEAD Depending on conversation choices with M4-78. he will send reinforcements to assist you when the Exile starts the mission to retake Telos Citadel Station after Nihilus and his forces attack. And he really should have started a new thread . . . in the M4-78 section. -

If I had an objection to mentioning other folk's work, it would've been that there wasn't a link so I could see it too! But anyway . . . what do you think of the mod, MrPhil?- 12 replies

SKIN:Replacement Peragus II Artwork by Trench
Sith Holocron replied to Sith Holocron's topic in Mod Releases
The problem with that is folks tend to start at Peragus and then they quit. If folks actually released what they started on - Drewton comes to mind - and actually started their projects on different planets, we would have had total reskins for the games a few times over. I suppose I should make a request for a Malachor V skybox over at LucasForums to help this along. Edit: That Malachor V skybox request thread is now live.- 12 replies

I think I found at least one of your problems. This one is incompatible. You ought to read that Incompatibility List a little more closely. I've edited HH's previous post to make it more clear what he was getting at. (Sorry, HH.)

SKIN:Replacement Peragus II Artwork by Trench
Sith Holocron replied to Sith Holocron's topic in Mod Releases
Well, I think the question should be: when is someone going to work on other planets? Malachor V needs some definite love - particularly it's skybox. I'm just as guilty as everyone else regarding Peragus. Including this mod released for Trench, I've done two for Peragus. And . . . I've done 3 for the next area, Telos. Before anyone says it, yes "artwork" is spelled wrong in the title. Being in a rush to get it out, I faltered at the end. Unless I need to update the mod package down the road for some reason, I think I'll leave as-is.- 12 replies
