    This can help, but retextured (applied in GMax) new models require lighting to keep correct appearance.
  1. I asked in 2015. I found basic tutorials, but more detailed tutorials sometimes required are not available through links.
  2. I have forgotten how to use the "whereami" function. Creating new armor is difficult.
  3. I have located Sarna's character template and I am modifying it. I found all models and textures for the head and base clothing. I have modified objects, reassigned textures, and found positions for characters and other objects. I have made some items by modifying game models and textures. I have modified weapon and armor templates. I have created other models.
  4. I have programs and mods that add characters. I saw the basic tutorials on how to recruit characters. I was never able to place characters, create a working dialogue tree, or assign scripts and voice files. I found the head model and basic body model for Sarna. I was never able to create the armor I was thinking of, but I thought a female version of the red Sith armor would work best for the body. I can try to alter the armor or find similar armor, but I have difficulty working with lighting. I had to message SithSpecter when the TSF helmet model I made did not have proper lighting, and the resource he gave me is no longer available.
  5. I realize I have posted a similar request elsewhere, but I need help. I have been finding models and editing Sarna's template to make her recruitable on Tatooine, but I have to create new armor (the most I have done is create a TSF helmet model), and I have never used scripts for a recruit mod. I hope to have Sarna replace Bastila after being on the Leviathan.

  8. In the game release, the Disciple was a party member if the player was female. The Handmaiden joined if the player was male. In the original game build, the Handmaiden and the Disciple were party members for Light Side characters. Dark Side characters had Visas Marr and the Disciple. I would like to know if there is a way for Visas to, rather than the Disciple, be recruited in the restored content mod based upon player gender rather than upon player alignment.
  9. Sarna was a Sith officer on Taris when Darth Malak ordered a bombardment. If Calo Nord survived, why not her? I wanted to create a mod in which she survives and will help fight the Sith who nearly killed her. She would get new armor and wait on Tatooine. When Bastila is captured, the soldier would take the place of the Jedi. My modeling skills are not enough to create a unique helmet and suit of armor for her of an earlier style (see picture), which I believe is similar to Sith armor, and I cannot create dialogue trees. I have never had success with the type of scripting for such a mod, and I want a brief interaction with Sarna (player surprise that a Sith officer is on Republic-held Tatooine, Sarna explaining) before she joins the others aboard the Ebon Hawk. I need help with this.
  10. I know intention was to have Visas available for Dark Side players and the Disciple for Light Side players. Is there a mod that changes that back to Visas for male and the Disciple for female?
  11. For the longest time, I have been trying to create a mod that allows recruitment of a female Republic soldier after Bastila's capture. I tried to create a model for a soldier with different armor. I did not get support when I tried to use modified TSF armor because of porting rules. I found an image and noticed Sith armor is similar to Republic armor of the Mandalorian Wars, but altering the helmet and the visor on the model to match the image is difficult. Others were ready to help with dialogue and recruitment, but I could not give dialogue until I knew who I wanted as a new character. Now, I think it would be interesting if Sarna survived Taris, found earlier Republic armor on Tatooine, and will help you against the Sith. I need help.
  12. With some mods, clothing and armor are not equipped after being rescued aboard the Leviathan.
    I never play a game without this mod. I wonder how defensive properties can be added to base clothing.
  13. Finding changes to scripts will not save and dialogue trees disappear after saving.

      I am creating my own dialogue trees. I cannot seem to make one that activates the recruit function. I have been trying to modify the Sith armor model to show some of the wearer's face for a mod.

      I think you may benefit from posting a thread fully detailing what you have tried, what tools you use, and what are the issues.

      Because if your script isn't saving or compiling correctly, then that could be your only problem, but it could easily be a bad script, misplaced script, misplaced files, mishandled files, etc ...

      My advice on the recruit function is to 1) read carefully the Recruit Function Readme by Ferc, 2) find another mod that uses it and see how their script does it (check Recruitable mods).

      I started trying several years ago. I have GMAX/NWMAX, MDLOPS 6, NWNNSSCOMP, KotOR Tool, KSE333, Replacer, and DLG Editor. For reference, I checked Recruitable Kay. I was trying not to directly copy.

  15. The thing is, you have to sacrifice other useful attributes to use the implants. I used to play through KotOR as a Soldier, then a Jedi Guardian, with 12 Constitution and Level 3 implants. Things like the Nerve Amplifier Belt deny you the benefits of other equipment, and it makes the use of Stealth Field Generators more of a problem. As for TSLRCM, it is odd that Kreia says Revan was behind the bombardment of Telos, yet, in KotOR, Canderous said Malak was responsible.
  16. This is really just something that bugged me about TSL in general: You have to be big and tough to equip some implants while, in KotOR, you only needed implant feats.
  17. I personally attempted to contact InyriForge on both Filefront and this site months ago since some of her mods were quite impressive. She did not reply.
  18. Why wasn't there any warning or other notification? That site is where you could find some of the best mods. While some had already been removed, a lot of modders who created the rest are no longer active. Not only that, but since I'm not used to creating new game scripts for mods, I was using some mods solely for reference, trying to create mods of my own. I was also looking forward to downloading and playing through the droid planet restoration, without having to use the full TSL restored content mod.
