Shiny textures not working in Kotor 2
Kexikus replied to Darthportus's topic in Knights of the Old Republic General
There's a tutorial describing how to fix this here. -

Oh... I think I want to diable that then. Good to know

It's done when it's done, yes. I'm making good progress to having the mod in a fully playable state but even then it will still take a while for it to be actually done, so no promises on release dates.

Mod of the Year Voting 2016: KotOR
Kexikus replied to Sithspecter's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
I have the same problem sadly (unless I vote for my own mod that is) Also, there seems to be a mod missing from the list: High Quality Cockpit Skyboxes. It was nominated here. -
The one problem here could be the fact that the slave outfit uses the same model as her normal underwear, right? And I don't really see Bastila wearing thigh high boots to her underwear xD But if it's possible to use different models for those, this could work really well.

I don't know how close you want to stay for the vanilla design, so I don't know if any of these suggestions are useful, but who knows^^ Personally, I don't like the vanilla one so I wouldn't mind something quite different. I would remove the gloves and maybe add some jewelry like armbands instead. But then again, the gloves don't actually look bad, I just don't really like them stylistically^^ Maybe you could also add some more detail to them, especially to the opening (whatever that part is called). Right now they look a little bland. Also, I assume you tried to give her thigh high boots? And while I quite like those, I fear they're not going to work without model changes, so I suggest having them end at the knees instead and also add some more detail to those. And then there are the metal panties... At least that's what I assume this material to be. I'd just change the rear part of those completely so that it no longer looks like metal. Hopefully some of that can help you and if not, at least I tried

I can't really help you with your actual mod issues but I have a guess what could be going on with the 3 HKs helping you fight. Those are the ones you can talk to, right? My guess is that their faction was set to friendly so that they don't attack you, so now they attack everything that's hostile instead which is no problem as long as no hostile droids come close to them. Setting their faction to neutral (or something like that) should fix this I think. But that's something for the TSLRCM team to fix so I suggest you post this and the other bug in the TSLRCM bug report thread.

I'm definitely looking forward to both the M4-78 video series and your stream You might want to change the second stream date though especially if it's intended for European viewers since for us it starts somewhere around 4-6pm depending on the time zone on New Year's Eve so I guess many people (including me) will not be at home or will have to leave early. Maybe just do it next year instead - or if that's not possible - we'll have the recording, so that's fine too

What you need is a trigger combined with a script and this needs .git editing. A trigger is simply an area that fires a certain script whenever something enters this area. So you'd set up the area wherever you want your conversation to be initiated and then fire a script that starts the conversation. I'll quote Fair Strides explanation on setting up a trigger for you (he explained it in the chat though, so it's not the most sophisticated tutorial ever^^):

It is indeed only the first half of the industrial zone and also the environmental zone though to be honest, I've no idea how that zone should look^^ The second part of the industrial zone, the archon chambers, the landing pad, the hub area (forgot the name) all look very good and realistic.

The game is being a troll...
Kexikus replied to maltron66's topic in Knights of the Old Republic General
Well, some mods (TSLRCM and K1R for example) have custom installers that do not have a tslpatchdata folder. But yeah, it's very rare. -

I belive You when You say that an older Version of TSL patcher Works on your OS while The New Version doesn't (for whatever reason). The Thing that wasn't believable was when You claimed This other installer were something completely different. Also, I did not intend to call You stupid, I just wanted to Show You a different method of telling whether or not a mod uses TSL patcher. -

You can also confirm that it's TSL Patcher by checking if there's a folder called "tslpatchdata" that has all the mod files (that is unless TSL Patcher did not have that folder back then). Because as DarthParametric said: Putting a random executable into a TSL Patcher folder won't magically work. -
That actually looks pretty good (for early WIP ). As you said, you need different lengths of hair for different parts of his body. Also the hair color should not be the same everywhere and the same goes for the smoothness of the hair. You probably knew that stuff, but in the very unlikely case you didn't I figured I'd type it here^^ For the Kreia skin: I might PM you about that skin at some point in a very very distant future

There could be left over files from the previous installation that were not properly deleted during the uninstallation of the game. Check your Override folder and see if there are any files in there. If they are there, then the game has not been properly reinstalled. Or are you using old savegames that had the mods installed? Then the Force powers would still be there but the icon and description should be missing and using them would probably crash the game. -
Looks really good indeed. And so does the Carth reskin If I may ask: What Kreia reskin are you using in the video? It looks really good.

Ah okay. In that case I have to say that it didn't work at all, sorry^^ I thought he's standing in the same spot as before, just rotated a little. If that's the goal, I'd suggest a wide shot showing him just arriving at his original position.

For the Cleaning Droid scene: I like the new camera angles for the dialog, but I actually preferred the "Disaster." being heard during the fade out. It's a close call though, but the one thing that I really didn't like in the new version was that random camera angle at the end showing the droid again with no dialog. @ Damned: There is a mod by tsjase that replaces the M4-78 bik movies with better quality ones closer to the vanilla movies. Maybe this mod could even be included with M4-78 EP by default if tsjase is okay with that.

I know, but the placed don't feel like a factory either. If I may exaggerate here: They are just random rooms placed next to each other with no purpose other than putting random characters in them. It's not that bad of course but to me it doesn't feel like a real place. In the factory for example you could have melting, assembly, testing, control rooms etc placed in a way that would make sense in real life. (I know that part of this exists and those rooms are very well done.) That would be a lot of work so I definitely don't expect that to happen, but you asked what we'd like to see changed

More likely: Change the journal entries to reflect where certain droids are located instead of just giving their names, since it's really hard to remember all those droid names^^ Super unlikely: Add placeables or something to make the levels feel more like an actual place that people lived in and that have a purpose.
