Speaking as an ex-TSL xbox fan, the PC version is going to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. If you're that concerned about playing with a controller, you can always just plug one into the USB port and map the controls with a program like Xpadder or something comparable. But yeah, if you decide to try to get things to work on the XBOX, you're going to have roughly a 15% drop in quality. Large sections of the mod would have to be redone to properly a TSLRCM that's Xbox-friendly.

Maybe an HK Factory walkthrough is on the horizon

You miss my point. I'm not trying to cast blame and defend its difficulty. Hassat and I just weren't paying attention to that aspect of it (hell I even played through with a KillBlaster for testing reasons so it really was untested). That said, I'm sure it's quite tedious and difficult to carve your way through hordes of 50s (and possibly, but hopefully not 51s). Add to that that you're controlling only 1 character that can only use ranged weapons.... that only adds to the tedium.
-
All this bickering is fine and everything with me..... ...just realize that the HKs are only hard because Hassat and I did not bother with adjusting the difficulty of any characters in the factory. Their character templates were taken directly from the Xbox version. Difficulty was not tampered with - as should be since TSLRCM's goal is not to change those particular things. And it's supposed to be tricky to activate the 51s... I'd say it's bad level design to allow for an "optimal" ending while not making the player earn different endings... ...unless you do just want to coast through the game.
-
Interesting considering that the HKs stats are pretty much untouched from the last version.... at least I didn't change them. Did Hassat Hunter change them? Could be that a higher level the HKs are being scaled in terms of difficulty? Otherwise the main complaint I've heard is that they're too easy... but that was with the Droid Capacitor armor. As far as activating the HK-51s, I'd say read carefully and do a thorough search. The information is all in the factory.

There's a fair difference between what Chris Avellone/Obsidian intended and what can be pulled off successfully in the context of the game. In terms of his character arc, his main concern in the game is Telos and finding redemption through the planet's healing. It would thus make sense that his dying sacrifice would be to make sure that Telos doesn't fall to the sith. This would have to be a created content kinda deal, since there isn't really a great place for him to have a game-changing sacrifice. HK factory wouldn't cut it I don't think since mostly that has to do with HK-47's personal goals. That's what I have to say about it anyways.

TSLRCM: The mod that Wookieepedia doesn't want you to know about. Yeah, there were Team Gizka TSLRP fanatics among the staff that were allowing the TSLRP page to remain despite being 1. Dead and 2. Less relevant in terms of news sources. (There actually a bunch of articles on TSLRCM back about a year ago, I think they might have interviewed Stoney) Now both pages are in the Fan Wiki which... well whatever.

Mass Effect Trilogy Marathon. In fact, the particular reason I'm replaying the entire series is because of that extended cut DLC. Would seem like a cop-out to just replay the last moments of the mission. I'm altogether satisfied with the original ending, so in terms of game experiences, I'll always remember the first playing out with the original ending. Maybe I'll intermittently play TSLRCM throughout the school year to prevent from being bored.

Clarification: Away from modding, not the community. Basically I'm avoiding any truly time-consuming activities. You can go ahead and make a walkthrough, I have no issues with that. It has changed quite a bit (technically speaking the walkthrough is a couple versions old) so if it's truly necessary then by all means someone please make a walkthrough. Although Hassat and I discussed it over and over to make it less "confusing" than it was in the past, and we had to make sure that all of the possible ideas we had were either fleshed out or tossed out. That said, a guide on how to do some... trickier things might be useful.

Okay, that is seriously bitchin'! A tweet from Chris Avellone himself recognizing TSLRCM????

Myself (and a few other unnamed associates) had concluded it would be best that Bao-Dur's death would be best occurring in the name of saving Telos' safety. As in he would give his life to save Telos. Not only was Bao-Dur using Telos as his sort of... path to redemption, but it shows his dedication to the restoration of the rest of the galaxy - which makes sense, at least in terms of light-sided Bao-Dur. Either way, the Bao-Dur has to die regardless of whether the HK factory mission is triggered which, from my last recollection, it is possible that it is skipped.

You're welcome... I'm tempted to start up TSL again just to review the culmination of 3 years work (I've not actually finished a TSLRCM playthrough in its entirety). But Mass Effect is on my "Do this before school starts up again" list.

Awesome zbyl! Thanks for mentioning me and the rest of the team. Makes me feel all gooey inside and wish I had a bigger role... but I'm happy with what I contributed . I'm excited to share the article!

Suppose it might help of I could manage to play Dragon Age. Seriously, I've been trying but I just keep wanting to play Mass Effect. But all is well. Perhaps I shouldn't be too involved in this conversation anyways since most of the games I've played recently and enjoyed have been from varying generations. I've limited the games I've played for this current generation to ones I'm either interested in or I've just heard food things about them. Unfortunately, it seems I've gotten hung up on Mass Effect. But really, for a long time I was focused on KOTOR modding, which, needless to say, takes up a lot of time. Maybe I'll catch up one of these days...

Idk about a lot of games, but the best of this generation (speaking of consoles anyways) has to be Mass Effect 2. Sure everyone shits eats and sleeps the latest COD installment, but ME2 is where it's at.

Seems more like the random violence would have made more sense in the context of The Dark Knight. Bane wasn't exactly about chaos... Makes sense considering that the shooter was obsessed with the Joker. What I don't really understand is why people refuse to see the movie in theaters? It’s not like it’s going to happen again... What the theaters really should be doing is beefing up their security, not banning masks and fake weapons. How's about we had someone or something actually monitoring that door... then chances are that this would not have happened. I just hate how this random event is always going to be associated with the movie now. And its the fault of society, not that lunatic’s illness.

I'm not going to disappear completely. I'll still lurk and throw in my two cents every once in awhile - that takes little to no time to do compared to modding.

Not for awhile... lol not like what's his name is even around anymore to be offended by it

I'm officially announcing my hiatus here - as of July 12th, 2012. I've been on the modding scene for... oh a good three years now, and I'm surprised that I managed to stay somewhat interested (with breaks in between of course). But with my job taking up most of my time now, the impending stress and time consumption of school and my dedication of free time towards extra-curricular career work (working on ma programming skillz brah), I don't see a lot of time for modding in the near future. So as much as I hate to say it, don't count on any of my projects being finished anytime soon. And as for TSLRCM stuff - I know you'll be the saddest Hassat and Sith Holocron - but there's no way I can finish them within a reasonable timeframe. I'm probably most saddened by Malachor VI. Bead and I had constructed some pretty great moments in that mod, and it seems like it could be much longer until you guys ever get to experience it. I'm truly sorry, but I'd rather be honest with you all instead of pretending we've been working on it all this time. It would have been done by now, if that were the case, but this isn't my job - it's a hobby, and even so, hobbies can change with time... But don't take this as a permanent retirement. I'll still be around in some vague capacity to defend the 1.8 HK factory from naysayers and whatnot. It just may be awhile until I actually put out some actual grunt-work. Thank you all for downloading my mods! Maybe some day I'll put out some more, or hell... maybe I'll start making legit applications! VP

I plan to replay from the beginning... ... by which I mean Mass Effect 1 I mean, don't get me wrong, I was very happy with the choices I made with my first trilogy playthrough. I'm just saying it would feel less genuine if I started playing from a random save point in which I don't even remember what I was doing. Plus, then I can work on more in depth playthroughs (and up the difficulty).

Grenn's interrogation on the Peragus incident. Still not restored, I don't think. Any hidden content is basically VO with no corresponding lipsync or presence in .dlg files. (As orphan or scrap nodes) We'd need someone to go through all of the audio and screen for new content.
