It is behind the pilot's seat. Personally, I have no idea. Hassat asked me to make the masked attacker, so I did. I always assumed he was tied to either Samhan or Dendis (whichever was the one dealing black market arms). Then again, I haven't actually played TSLRCM (much less TSL) in a long while.

Malachor VI: An Ending Mod

lol Whenever I post something about postponing or a busy schedule, we end up jumping back on the project. Hmmmm perhaps I should cancel all of my projects -
Malachor VI: An Ending Mod
VarsityPuppet replied to VarsityPuppet's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
A bit of sad news to be delivered, but I suppose it was awhile in the making... Malachor VI is being indefinitely postponed. This is due to RL responsibilities that I would be stupid to shaft. I'm lucky to be able to mod in the limited capacity that I currently do. I haven't heard from Bead-V in awhile, but I think he would agree: the project is going to be on hold for quite some time. We are both quite busy. This is not to say that the content created by this mod will never see the light of day. It is my hope that Bead and I will be able to get the magnificent work we've done out there for you guys to enjoy. However, before that happens, I fear that MVI will have to have a clearer gameplan than what we've been working with. It certainly was helpful in generating some of the best ideas we have, but I know I can't be working on this forever. We all have to move on - that and my attention span when coming to modding is very short. So I guess this announcement isn't really news, but a confirmation of the state we're in. Yes, I do want to get these amazing scenarios out to you, but perhaps such a hopeful, grandeur mod is not the best way right now. Stay tuned, we'll keep you posted -
I thought I had bad luck lol Then again, I haven't started on that Serroco scene yet... I'm sure I'll have issues there....
-
Not yet, but considering I have no desire to work on my other projects, I think I could give Serroco a shot
-
Also, VP's back in action????
-
Well, the good news about the random loot is that we have all the scripts to compile, modify and change. Though it'll probably take forever.

People actually use those items outside of the pause screen? Weird...
-
Everyone knows that those poor rich people need tax breaks. They make soo much money and all we do is take it away :/. That's so unfair. Yeah, people make a big deal about how ridiculously clashing both the dem and rep parties are - when in actuality, they're on the same side of the political spectrum. One's extreme right, the other, mid right.

Well, after whining like a little b!tch in my last post in this thread, I'd like to return and apologize to Kerk for being such a douchebag and say I'm ready for some good ol' discussion of topics with tea and crumpets and stuff like that! Ahem. SPOILERS So I just got ME3 yesterday and while I obviously haven't beaten it, I'm already starting to find things I'm not liking. Things that are, of course, false advertising, as many avid fans are claiming. I agree. 1. Why is Udina on the council? I swear I chose Anderson for that position, and I don't recall any in-game reference to him stepping down. Also, since when did thee council become all alien again? Must've missed something again... Supposedly this is explained in some other Mass Effect media, but it really bothers me that they don't seem to have covered this detail anywhere in the (beginning) of the game. It's almost as if - wait for it - MY CHOICES DON'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I was starting to worry that my ME2 save hadn't imported correctly, because so many things seemed to be off. It did recognize Liara as the Shadow Broker though, which I did appreciate. Speaking of choices, why does it seem like with each Mass Effect game you get less and less choices? I mean, cutscenes seem to run themselves more than ever, and when I do get a chance to see the decision wheel, I have like only two different things to say. Hell, even some choices end up with Shepard saying either the same or similar lines. Lastly, the last cringe-worthy aspect I've uncovered this far is that cryptic, and quite unnecessary dream sequence. Sure, Bioware, automate every in-game cutscene where I could potentially make crucial, game-changing (or Shepard defining) decisions, but make me run around (in slow-motion, of course) in a bleak, monochrome forest just so I can trigger two cutscenes of a kid dying. What the hell? So, my first impression is a mixed one. On one hand, there's all this foreshadowing of the 'lazy" choices Bioware is making, but on the other hand, it is still Mass Effect and I got to bitchslap a reporter again!

After May for sure. I still have things to do for TSLRCM, but schoolwork is more important, and I paid too much money to fail these classes. TSLRCM's goal is to restore cut content that adds much needed depth to the game. Adding content to make the storyline easier to undrestand... I'm not sure what kind of content would really do that. It is what it is. And even within the scope of TSLRCM, that's not even all of the cut content. There's still things like the Genoharadan, M4-78, Disciple's holocron quest, and other miscellaneous cut lines. It is a mod, but to install it, you will need a standalone installation. It won't be compatible with TSLRCM because the point of ROR is to transform TSL into a different game.

What the hell could that HK factory consist of?
-
I think you should note, Hassat, that the inclusion of these texture fixes is not so much how they look (After all, the robe fixes can be improved *cough*) but whether or not they should be included in the mod, by principle. Be aware that the robe textures are NOT restored content. They are simply us trying to fix bugs for what is a very unsightly, unfinished product. NOT RESTORED CONTENT, MODIFIED CONTENT. If you think I'm trying to throw someone under the bus here, you'd be wrong, because I'm the one who made the robe textures The issue is plain and simple - we're trying to draw a line here - and that's to figure out what exactly we should be including in this mod. We've covered a lot of the restored content, but we've also taken care of many of the 'bugs' that have been present in vanilla TSL. However apparent the ugly brown collars are, is it right to fix those with our own interpretations of the content? To sum it up: By principle, should TSLRCM include textures fixes? If not, should there be a mod (separate, but affiliated with RCM) that includes all of these fixes?
-
No, someone means literally 'someone', though preferably, not me (though it could ultimately end up being me).
-
Well, since TSLRCM will include all of the source code for the scripts that generate treasures and loot on characters, *someone* could potentially put forth some effort into applying some rhyme or reason to the loot distribution. It's not a model I don't think, it's just a Jedi Padawan robe color variation.

Bugs and minor inconveniences with TSLRCM 1.7
VarsityPuppet replied to gangster1337's topic in TSLRCM
Why is this happening at all? Is the fight with Esok Mandalore controlled now?? -
Are you referring to my Peragus tweak mod? While I did restore some content in that mod, I actually redid most of that cut content so it could be included in TSLRCM. I had to take out some things that I had kinda just... made up on the spot. That coupled with the bug fixing Stoney, zbyl and Hassat did, it has essentially replaced Ulic's mod. At least I think so anyways.. last I checked :/ We could probably work on it, or just make a new version too. The general rule of thumb is that OE cut content should generally speak for itself. If you have to start jumping to conclusions, speculating or making new game assets, you have to take a step back and really think about what Obsidian was trying to do vs what you want to do. The HK factory is one of those rare exceptions where to be completed, you have to kind of go with speculation. If it were up to me, I'd put the HK factory as a separate (but compatible) entity, but since it is 80% restoration, it fits best in TSLRCM. Of course, this would probably change quite a few of the HK-50 encounters, but that's besides the point. There are mods that restore content, and there are mods that enhance content. The other thing you have to consider is that TSLRCM is an all-in-one package. We can't just be putting in parts of mods that not everybody likes. My Handister mod, for instance, will not make it into TSLRCM, because not everybody likes my interpretation of the unused content (Hassat ). It has a better chance of, say a hypothetical mod which gives all of the Handmaidens new, unique heads, but it's still one of those things that's not quite justified (yet mwahahahaha). Actually, there are a few things I've contributed which kind of ride that line between restored and enhanced content. I guess it's good that I don't have a bigger role in all this
-
Yeah yeah, I get it, the HK factory took a long time. But this time it's got some new features (every time I've worked on it, something essential has changed), and hopefully this'll be the last version. EVER Unless this generation's Markus Ramikin shows up and has something to say.
-
Well, 5 rounds of recently submitted versions. Round 3 wasn't all that long ago, and Round 4 and 5 have just been quick, small bugfixes.
-
Funny you should mention that because the HK factory modifications actually finished off at round 5! Although, it's not entirely done, because it needs to be translated now (along with a few other modifications). But we're getting there.

Alignment fluctuation of party members
VarsityPuppet replied to Atton Rand's topic in Knights of the Old Republic General
That's mostly speculation. There is no dialog that suggests that the HK-50s would ever join HK-47. In fact, ALL dialog points to the exact opposite - that he is hellbent on killing them all. The dialog that suggests assimilation is between HK-47 and HK-51s, which is, as Hassat Hunter stated, entirely optional. Besides, Wookieepedia has a history of completely disregarding anything TSLRCM in favor of the officially dead TSLRP.
