Looks a lot less silly than the choking/flailing animation while he's talking. I'm just saying, Nihilus has a weak presence in the story as it is. To top it off, as a boss, he's waaaay too easy.
-
Version 3, but forget the choking animation altogether. Use the lift/choke animation. Nihilus should also have some more Sith speak in between Tobin's lines. He should also be generally much closer to Tobin. Face to face, preferrably. Will increase the menacing factor of the scene. For the last line, Tobin should drop to his knees. As he whispers "enough to free Onderon", have Nihilus walking away.

Silveredge and Quanon did the mask originally. VP combined the mask and armor into one model. 90SK made the new texture. Not much to boast about.

Speaking of "things that should totally happen", I've been testing TSLRCM with a little special something called a "rebalance mod". Hopefully this will be something that can compliment RCM by making TSL challenging.

Malachor VI: An Ending Mod
VarsityPuppet replied to VarsityPuppet's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Hmm, well I think the new tally is 55% As far as arbitrary completion percentages go, I think that is more accurate than the aforementioned 45% Keep in mind that this number means almost nothing except for how we feel we're doing. The actual percentage could be much higher or lower than that. We don't specifically know, because we have not really quantified the workload. -

MVI will not move forward until we have a clear cut game plan, which we are in the process of discussing and formulating. -
Removing profanity from VP's scripts - check Fixing up silly dialog typos - check Send out an email out to the RCM team - check Yep, covered pretty much all of the bases.

Original Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords - xbox version. What secrets does it contain? We shall find out.... mwahahahaha!!!
-
It should be on Kotor Filefront. It's called Combat Simulation Arena. Last I checked though, it had some issues running well.
-
It would be nice, yeah. Unfortunately, alot would need to be done in terms of balancing so that you wouldn't just have every feat, every force power and all of your skills maxed out. The game has enough issues with being altogether too easy anyways. That said, I think a fighting arena (like stoffe's) would be helpful in achieving that level 50 cap by more legitimate and challenging means.

Understandable. If would be pretty easy for us (me, specifically) to make a separate (yet easily installable) mod which would re-enact the permanent Hssiss glitch. Install the latest version and you should be fine. Only thing is that when 1.8 comes out, you'll have to reinstall everything. Droid planet is a separate mod. zbyl actually is testing the M4-78EP right now, and it should be ready along down the line. Compatibility with RCM 1.8 is extremely likely.

Dude, lay off. Do you realize that Hassat Hunter is essentially bug-testing RCM by himself? I'm pretty sure most people would rather he works on testing RCM than playing Mr. P.R. and answering all of your questions.

Ki-punah, kabawunga kaaabi! (I agree)

Got the original game disc headed my way (Thank you, Amazon). We'll find out once and for all what exactly is on the fabled disc. My figure is that I'll check for a few things like Lt. Yima's dialog, "Bao-Dur's make my sacrifice matter" line, and if present, I'll think of some way to upload the files (the important ones).

I've come to find out that (at least the platinum hits version) doesn't really have more content-wise than the PC US version, alithough I know there are some differences between the xbox and PC versions (for instance, the camera in Atton's forcecage never clipped through the forcefield) But really it's a matter of finding the original non-platinum hits game disc and then checking it out. Last one I remember seeing was at Half-Price Books for $20, and I didn't want it THAT much at the time.
-
Or you could do it. You seem to have some good ideas.
-
I feel you. Not to say it couldn't ever be done - it would have to be part of another mod though.
-
If it helps, I imagined the Masked Duros as a hired bounty hunter, since I didn't really know anything about him. He very well could have been from the Zhug brothers clan.
-
Well, finished ME3. The ending wasn't so bad as a concept (the Indoctrination theory seems to make the most sense), but the execution, I feel, was lacking. For one, I got a game over for taking too long to choose how I'd deal with the reapers. I get it, but that's not usually a thing that happens: usually you wait for the player's choice. So, I know I'm in the minority, but I enjoy the ending of Mass Effect 3 - to an extent. Everything post-Crucible just makes me confused. Very.... vague what happens to the galaxy. Did it get wiped out because of the Mass Relays? idk... Here's to hoping that free ending DLC answers some questions.
-
Yes and no. From what I understand, the Masked attacker was cut content (whether or not he's tied to any side quest). The game files have no way of putting a mask on a Duros, so that's where I had to come in.

Mostly because I know it's an obviously rehashed line. My Kotor memory is hazy, but doesn't she say it pretty much every time you stop a conversation with her? If that's not it, I know I still have heard it somewhere... If there were other lines around it to back it up (like Carth's VO) then I think it would feel less abrupt and out of place is all. If you could find another line that people wouldn't recognize so easily, that would work too. That's my input anyways
-
Sleheyron is to K1R as M4-78EP is to TSLRCM I'd like to think of it that way. Also, nice to hear Ashley. I'm not sure I would have liked her as much in Mass Effect if she wasn't named after THE BIGGEST BADASS OF ALL TIME I suggest you remove Bastila's 'I suggest we move on' line.

Malachor VI: An Ending Mod
VarsityPuppet replied to VarsityPuppet's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Party vs. Kreia will be difficult - but well... it's a unique battle for spoiler reasons. If it were done any other way, I would just have it run automatically. Atton vs. Sion, for obvious reasons, you'll be able to lose and continue. That one is pretty obvious. HK-47 vs. G0-T0 is also another you'll be able to lose and continue. Although this is tied to the ability to destroy Malachor, so there may be the need to play with some details so that losing that battle alone doesn't totally dictate Malachor's ending. -
Malachor VI: An Ending Mod

It's more or less like this: Party members are player controlled only for fights which directly affect only 1 party member's fate, or in a case where one is painted as an unquestionable bad guy. So with matches like: Atton vs. Sion Mira vs. Hanharr HK-47 vs. G0-T0 Party vs. Kreia You can more or less tell who needs to win in order for the story to advance a certain way. If we had the VO, I would have liked to be able to take those fights in multiple directions. Unlikely, but still worth a shot maybe.
