You shouldn't have to, I don't think

I know with the steam version if you are installing and re-installing mods a lot, it can completely uninstall Duplisaber in certain cases. This is due to how the Steam mods system works. What I would recommend is installing Duplisaber last.

No, nothing special you need to do. Should just show up automatically. What version of TSL are you using? What other mods do you have installed?

Ahhhhh, I figured you were up to something.... I'd love to check out the video, but it's private.

Everyone ready to jump on board?

I think there are several instances that say you can't open a door for some story related reasons.

Ah sweet, seems to be retroactive as well. Again, I am mainly in it for the T-shirt, but I am happy to have received BattleFront II as a download. I happened to buy pretty much all of these in the Steam sale recently, so...

Another snippet of disingenuous assertions is that this "remake" acts as a mod. If they are creating this in Unreal, it is most certainly NOT a mod, and is in fact, an entirely new build created with the Unreal Development Kit. So, any attempt to use assets from the original KOTOR in their build will count as porting, which we all know by now - game developers love when you port assets.

TOTAC lol oh my god, I love this too much.

Thinking of removing TSLRCM from the Workshop
VarsityPuppet replied to Hassat Hunter's topic in TSLRCM
Oh we've certainly reached a point of no return. Can't remove it without people becoming angry. I agree on that point. It's an issue of I personally want to remove it from the Workshop, but we realistically can't. Could you clarify your point of us figuratively holding the mod hostage though? It would still be available here, and on Nexus, and on Moddb. I see it not as a hostage situation, but more like we were considering closing shop in a popular part of town. There's nothing stopping them from going to another location, except the lack of convenience. -
Thinking of removing TSLRCM from the Workshop
VarsityPuppet replied to Hassat Hunter's topic in TSLRCM
It's funny how when you do a ton of work for free and release it as a product, people feel they are entitled to it. I worked on a comparatively small part of the mod, and I spent 6 weeks, at least 8 hours a day, for absolutely nothing. A game design intern (the lowest on the game development totem pole) would have gotten at least $3,000 for that work. Now imagine how much work Zbyl, Stoney, Hassat Hunter should have made... So all this work, for no compensation, and now suddenly everyone else is entitled to play this mod by downloading it however they want, and we have to make it available to them on their terms, or else. Steam in a nutshell. -
What about accepting donations under the guise that this is a remake of a Star Wars game? Seems a bit unethical, no?
-
Oh I gotcha. Yeah, they are basically making a new game and just calling it KOTOR
-
The whole being classified as a mod thing? But we know that's complete BS They're not adding game content, they're in effect, creating an entirely different executable file.
-
Let's do it. When do you have some free time? I want to get a pre-alpha out as soon as possible.
-
I like what I'm seeing from KOTOR: Generic Space Shooter Edition. Except KOTOR is not a generic Space Shooter. And I die a little inside whenever I hear the term pre-alpha. Literally all they have done is made some levels with the generic prefab assets. There is nothing in the game that resembles KOTOR. All the graphics have nothing to do with the ability of Apeiron "developers", and everything to do with the Unreal Rendering engine. I could start my own KOTOR II remake called KOTOR II: Nostos in Unity and get about as far in a week.

Gotcha. Remove from the workshop entirely. Upload an older version, (if we want). Link to DS for the new version. Problem solved. -
Thinking of removing TSLRCM from the Workshop

That being the case, I vote we take it down. If people can still get it, but it doesn't update, that sounds optimal. I don't think it was ever meant for the Workshop in any case... ... that said, we should wait for Zbyl's take on this. Actually, for Mac, I believe Aspyr has an installer for that.
