It happens when KTool can't find the install directory. It was coded back in the original 4CD version days, so all it knows is the registry key for that version, which it looks for to find the install directory. If you have the GOG or Steam versions, it won't see them. The fix is fairly easy, a dummy registry key pointing to the install location. See this post for details.

I'm not sure about the undershirt, but the jacket looks pretty good. With some adjustment it could be made to work with the pocketless version of the jacket I made. That one was a hybrid using the Scout legs, but it could be mated back to the original Scoundrel legs, which I assume you are using.

A couple of things. You don't need JC's mod to port a head. They have nothing to do with one another. MDLOps in its current properly working guise is largely the work of ndix UR (and as bead-v would no doubt attest, underpins a lot of what made MDLEdit possible). The original version was by cchargin with significant additions by JdNoa. Fair Strides, in concert with VarsityPuppet, made some improvements a couple of years back, but I think attributing it to FS is overstating it a bit. Read the readme padawan, don't just look at who uploaded it.

Based on this request thread, this mod attempts to inject a bit of extra variety into one of the minor elements of KOTOR. It makes some changes to the locked kolto tank room in Zelka Forn’s medical clinic in Upper City South on Taris. In the vanilla version of the game, the room has two placeable square kolto tanks, the floating bodies in which both use the PMHC04 (“Mullet Man”) head. For this mod, those were removed and the room model was edited to add two additional round kolto tanks, which match the ones along each side of the room. Additionally, the glass of the tanks had its texture replaced with one of the other variants in the game that is a bit darker and uses an environment/cube map for a hint of reflection. The empty tanks in the preceding room (behind Zelka Forn) were also edited for consistency. For the sanity of those with OCD, the position of the wall light at the back of the tank room was adjusted so it aligns with the centreline of the room. The floating body model from the kolto placeable was replaced with a new one with clean geometry at the neck join to facilitate using any player or NPC head. Additionally, an all-new female body variant was added, posed to roughly match that of the original male version. Two of these new body variants replaced the original two at the end of the room, with a number of additional bodies placed in the tanks along each side of the room. Zelka Forn’s dialogue when you enter the room for the first time seems to indicate that there should be more present than just the two originally depicted in the vanilla game. Due to limitations on the number of possible placeables K1 can deal with, outlined here by ndix UR, the floating bodies are now part of the room model. Installation: The mod includes a TSLPatcher installer for Windows users. Those on Linux or Mac should replace it with the appropriate HoloPatcher version which will run natively on their OS. Known Issues: This mod relies on editing the Taris Upper City South module's GIT (tar_m02ac). As such, it will not be compatible with any save in which you have previously entered the Upper City South level. Given that is the very first level you enter after leaving the starting apartment on Taris, that means you'll typically need to start a new game to utilise this mod. Per some of my posts in the original request thread, I initially experienced some issues with the tank’s glass texture affecting lighting on the body models (and even outright visibility in one instance) depending on the player’s viewing angle. I believe this has been resolved, but it’s possible the problem may still occur on hardware/OS combinations that I have no way of testing. The floating bodies use these player head models. There is no provision for dealing with a clone of the head the player is using now that the mod has switched to incorporating the bodies into the room model. A future update may replace these heads with NPC heads instead. Compatibility: Edited versions of both room models for the medical facility (M02AC_02G & M02AC_02H) are required for this mod, so will not be compatible with any other mod that edits those models. They still use vanilla textures however, so they will be compatible with texture mods. The mod will not be compatible with any mod that edits the two entries for the original tank placeables in the module’s GIT (Placeable List entries 0 and 22). It should otherwise be compatible with other mods that alter the Upper City South module, as long as they utilise a properly set up TSLPatcher configuration. Since it has come up in the comments, Kainzorus Prime's NPC Overhaul Mod is compatible, but ONLY if you install it before installing this mod (KP's mod will forcibly overwrite any and all module files, so install it before anything). Acknowledgements: Thanks to bead-v for KOTORMax and MDLEdit, and ndix UR for MDLOps 2K18 Edition, all of which were required at various points to get this to work. Thanks to ndix UR for many and various discussions and troubleshooting regarding models, compiling, textures, etc. Thanks to Dark Hope for the suggestion to change the bubble VFX.

MDLedit is a (de)compiler for KOTOR and KOTOR2 model files. Which version should I download? There are two packages on the download page. They differ in whether the program uses Visual Styles or not. The difference is purely visual, they are completely equivalent in terms of functionality. The version in the mdledit_v0.0.0xp.zip package will work on Windows XP or newer as well as on MacOS through Wine, but it will look like crap. The version in the mdledit_v0.0.0.zip package will look better, but will only work on Windows Vista and up. How do I set it up? Open the .zip archive, extract the .exe and run it. If you want MDLedit to keep track of your option between sessions, create a blank mdledit.ini file in the same folder as your .exe. How do I use it? The program comes with a help documentation window accessible from the About menu, read that to learn how to use it. If something is not mentioned there please let me know in the relevant thread (link to be added) and I will explain the functionality and add the explanation to the help window for the next version. MDLedit was designed to be used with KOTORmax and the new version of KotORBlender by ndix UR. Using the ascii model files that it produces with NWmax will cause data to be ignored in the best case and a crash in the worst. The program crashed/froze/reported a weird error! Describe your issue in the relevant thread and I will look into it. Attaching a .zip archive with the files that MDLedit was processing when the problem appeared is also very welcome. Thanks A big thank you goes out to ndix UR, without whom MDLedit would have maybe half the functionality it has now. I would also like to thank the testers, who also made a lot of great suggestions that made MDLedit that much better: – DarthParametric – JCarter426 – Quanon – VarsityPuppet – FairStrides The program was built on the knowledge about the MDL format, which is the result of the work of many modders, including CChargin, Magnusll, JdNoa, ndix UR, DarthSapiens, VarsityPuppet, FairStrides, and others! Thank you for your efforts! Lastly I'd like to thank the KOTOR modding community, which makes taking the time to make such a tool worth it.

Handmaiden Player Head [TSLPort] This mod adds TSL's Brianna/Handmaiden as a selectable-player head for females in KotOR/K1. # Background # This was attempted by request of KohlKatarn from DeadlyStream. # About this Mod # Inside this mod are 2 choices of installation: Main: Install TSL ported Brianna/Handmaiden as a selectable-player head for females in K1, including her original portraits that are ported from TSL Optional: Install custom portraits to replace the original portraits that are ported from TSL The textures are in TPC format and the portraits are in DDS format. # Final Remarks # This attempt was made easier with helps from DarthParametric's "Mira Player Head for K1" change.ini as the guiding hands; as without learning from his mod's setup, this attempt were not going anywhere lol. Critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and any feedbacks for the next update are very much appreciated- just PM me or write a public message on my feed. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod. Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do! Installation: Run the installer [TSLPatcher.exe]. Uninstallation: Replace the installed files with the files that are stored in the 'Backup' folder. Compatibility: Will be compatible with most mods that are in surface by now. Potentially not compatible with other mods that tries to replaces the model, textures, portraits and messing with 2DAs rows of this installation. Redistribution: You can redistribute this mod or re-release it on any website as long as it meets their requirement; you don't have to ask for permission, but I do appreciate all the kind intention. Also, if you are planning to use the assets from this mod to a mod you will be developing, don't forget to give credits to BioWare, Obsidian Entertainment, and LucasArts as inside this mod are their base assets. Is it possible to add the Musics from KOTOR II when the player get dark/light side points? It would be very epic! Light Side: Dark Side:

Well, I don't know what's causing that either, lol! Seriously, I thought it was because the game is not installed, because that was what appeared to me when TSL is not installed. Let me know if the ported head working or not, I'm trying to build the patcher version for a while.

Well the thing is, Kotor II is actually installed on my computer, it's the one game that is always installed when I want to play something. I played it on friday to make screenshots for memes, so yeah I don't know what is going on 😅 Thank you for the port and sorry for the troubles.

I don't really check who has or hasn't downloaded it. I think I could, but don't. I don't mind either way, though. It's reasonable to have an option to comment regardless of who's downloaded it because peopl sometimes have reasonable questions about the mod. Though again that makes the support topic redundant.

You need the version for the game you're porting to, so in this case K1. Everything else seems fine, so if that's still not working, it's possible MDLEdit requires you to convert to ASCII, then load the ASCII before compiling. I usually do manual adjustments with KOTORMax rather than a straight port so I don't remember the specifics on that. And if that is the case, then you would likely have to do manual adjustments as well, because MDLEdit & MDLOps don't always get the smoothing groups right when converting.

Hmm, it seems KotOR 2 is currently not installed on your end looking by the sightings. You should have TSL installed to extract its game files. 😁 Anyway, while waiting for you to install TSL; here's the ported Handmaiden's head, but at its current state it will replace the default PFHC04 in exchange. There is a method to add a new line of its appearance using TSLPatcher but I think I'll try to cover that later: Edit: You can drop all the files to the 'Override' folder. I assume it will not replace the default PFHC04 texture installed on your end because I'm using a custom header for Handmaiden's head texture. I have tested it until the intersection before the Endar Spire's Jedi vs Dark Jedi encounter and didn't seem to saw any trouble with it. Hope it works the same for you. Edit2: @KohlKatarn, try to redownload the attachment- with the former there is an issue with Handmaiden's appearance as I have her LS and DS head switched. Apologize for the inconvenience.
