  1. If you're working on a lightsaber hilt mod or any texture using a bump map, you may be interested in my recently published fixes on KOTOR Patch Manager that restore both in the Aspyr versions of the game.

FYI Folks, many new patches have been released. https://github.com/LaneDibello/Kotor-Patch-Manager New Aspyr Fixes: Lightsaber Hilt rendering - Lightsaber modders rejoice, the hilt textures no longer disappear Bump Map Restoration - bump maps are back! Others: Allowing all 12 of the K2 Portraits to be visible on party select - Modders can now use a slot for a recruitment mod by using whatever slot the user isn't using for mira/hanarr, and no longer need to utilize the armband while using partyswap. Wiring for Good and Very Good Alignment heads. - If any modders want to take up making good and very good alignment heads, these were in heads.2da already but there wasn't any exe logic calling to them, it now works at 70 and 90 alignment. Also working on a patch to expand the max dynamic lights to 9 instead of the vnailla 3. All of J's fixes have been ported as well.

  5. Hello friends, I am currently developing a patch for K2 that extends the active Party from 3 to 5. I've got a lot of it worked out: Adding to party from party select screen Combat, Skill Usage, Quest Reward Experience Propagates to 4th and 5th slots Buffs/Debuffs can be added to 4th and 5th slots. The icons display. Autolevel up will autolevelup 4th and 5th slot members. Most movement related bugs are sorted, still some quirks with pathfinding and spawn location to sort out GUI has been fixed to show 4th and 5th slots. 4/5th slots can react to conversations, start dialogue, gain/lose influence. Things still needed: 5th slot doesn't show level up icon. (Shouldn't be a difficult fix) Scripts that hard code iterating through the party with 3. These will all have to be changed. In menu portraits don't show, researching fixes for this. Coming to a KOTOR Patch Manager Near You, some day, don't ask. I'm working on it.

Now just looking for the official announcement! https://www.ign.com/articles/star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-remake-reportedly-coming-from-port-studio-aspyr Eurogamer has also independently reported that it is a full remake, bringing KOTOR into canon. @Sith Holocron whatcha think?
  9. So what are we thinking the Aspyr KOTOR project will be? Remake (Legends)? Reboot (Canon)? Sequel? A High Republic spiritual successor?

      And I heard that the main focus of this ‘remake’ is to cut off everything that contradicts new Disney canon. So, get ready for Moraband and other exciting changes. Honestly, I’d rather see a High Republic game than reboot/continuation like in TOR.

  11. There are now very credible rumors that Aspyr is actually working on a KOTOR game. I'll be interested if we hear more. The rumors are being floated by Jason Schreier who is a very reputable journalist with a long history of leaks that have turned out to be true.
  12. There is one case of this actually being okay'd, albeit not by Disney/LucasArts/Bioware/Obsidian but by Bethesda. I doubt the former mentioned parties will see it the way that Bethesda does considering none of those companies have ever supported modding, but there's that. Either way, I think anyone with half a brain knew that they can send a C&D out at any moment so I'm not sure what the surprise that the developers of Apeiron acknowledge that. In the end, who cares? Really? At this point this is a dead horse getting beat. The developers obviously do not care what any of us think.
  13. I was pretty skeptical of it at first, but I've started to be impressed with their work lately. I don't think it'll make it to release though.
  14. Dudeeee that VO made my day. It's so good, a little more fast pace than his original VO but that's by far the best imitation I've heard in any mod (kotor or other games). Great job.
  15. Wow, these look great. Are you having to do a lot of editing to get them to work in KOTOR/TSL? Just wondering an idea of how much work is involved in each piece.

      There's Sithspecter's Sleheyron mod that's been ongoing for a few years. Not sure how much he's worked on it lately, though

  17. No, they are not. They were featured in the original Prima guide in place of the mining droids on Peragus. They may have been featured in other early promotional material also. Looks like they were preliminary models of the mining droids that were later replaced.
  18. There's a planet mod called [REMOVED] where everything had a horrible looking orange tint, characters and all. It used stolen music in the mod (hence why it is banned from discussion) and this is a April Fool's joke of a planet referencing that, orange character and all. Sith Holocron will swoop in at any moment and lay down the ban hammer and remove all of this and tell us A. This isn't the thread to discuss this in. B. Discussion of this mod is against the rules. It's just a matter of time. His forum senses are probably tingling away this very moment.

      Hmm, I would be interested in a mod that makes like Disciple a puppet of Handmaiden if male, vice versa if female. Wonder how hard that would be.

      All but impossible. It would require a seemingly endless task of rewriting scripts and rescripting and restructuring dialogs. Influence for both would also have to be adjusted to work properly. As in, Puppets don't have Influence ratings because they're not on the party table.

  25. Maybe you should contact Quanon and ask about using his Nar Shaddaa expansion modules in your mod? Not sure if he would let you, but it's worth a try and better than reusing vanilla modules. good luck.
