Hello! I have decided to (re)play TSL after several years and after never finishing it the first time because of a nasty critical bug so I am here to ask advice about the Installation order and Mods compatibility. All suggestions/recommendations are welcome. I have done this so far: 1) Installed the DVD version of TSL 2) NOT installed any official patch (I presume 1.0a, 1.0b, the HQ movies and music patches are NOT needed) 3) Installed Pastramix's Ambient and Music improvements (by the way, the installation instructions are very confusing here as well: don't I need to delete the mus*.wav files that are in the original folder in order to use the .mp3? According to the instructions it seems you just need to dump the .mp3 files in the original folder) 4) Installed TSLRCM 1.8.4 Now... Hello! I realize I never really introduced myself here and now I bet it's a bit too late but I take the opportunity to do it now. I am one of the many KotOR enthusiast out there. I have contributed a few small modifications for the first Bioware installment and have never really finished the sequel (I am waiting for the final TSLRCM version to do it properly). I am italian but I've been living in Sweden with my wife since 2004. I am 40 and I seem I still love playing computer games, although I decreased my tolerance to stupid game concepts and subsequently raised my level of frustration. I'm also trying to find out who is the smartass ( ) that put that Jonas Salk plaque as my profile's picture.

KotOR 1: Solari crystal not restricted

Well, it seems that all works as intended. I don't know what kind of glitch I've been experiencing or if I just got confused in the process but the lightsaber with the Solari crystal in is correctly flagged as non equippable for Dark Side characters. My bad. -

Hello! I noticed that the description for the Solari crystal expressly specifies that it should be restricted to Light Side use. The game is not consistent with this though as it can be happily assembled into the lightsaber of my very dark protagonist. There are two solution: either we amend the description or we really restrict it to Light Side. My preference would be for the latter, even for lore reasons.

Yes, Hassat Hunter. I was talking about KotOR 1. Sorry for not having pointed it out. The four tombs in Korriban are named as follow: Tomb of Naga Sadow, Tomb of Tulak Hord, Tomb of Mark Ragnos and Tomb of Ajunta Pall. Only in that one line is the Tomb of Ajunta Pall called Tomb of Freedon Nadd. There are hints about the developers having changed the name from Freedon Nadd to Ajunta Pall at a later stage. In fact Ajunta Pall's sword tag is "k37_itm_freedont" and Ajunta Pall himself's is "kor37_freedon". My guess is that they forgot to change that line. -

I am reviving this thread to report that there is one PC line in KotOR which makes me perplexed (Str 14287): "I've heard there's an artifact sword in the tomb of Freedon Nadd." I think it should be correct to change "Freedon Nadd" with "Ajunta Pall". Since I am maintaining an updated dialog.tlk I'd like to make sure we all agree. -

Nice to know all seems to be fine. About possible releases, I am not sure whether I should make any modification made by me "officially" public because I think I might mess things up any time. I'd rather have the K1 Restoration team take a look at it when time comes and decide if it's worth their time proof reading this stuff and make it part of their project. -

Here: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9_1X7K5KtOcelZoM1V1Vm5yazg/edit?usp=sharing For the always-open-door issue please follow these steps: 1) Fly to any planet other than Manaan (it doesn't matter whether or not you paid the docking fee in Manaan already) 2) Go back to Manaan and go to Atho City entrance 3) (you should find the door there closed) Pay the fee 4) Enter Atho City and go wherever you like 5) Leave the City 6) Fly to any planet 7) Go back to Manaan and go to Atho City entrance (you should find the gate closed again, as they should be) Thanks!
