If there's anything you want about this mod, now would be the time to mention it, or it'll forever be too late. It's fairly unlikely it'll be changed (depending on the requests and such), but you never know.
Or... they can just remove the kotor2logo.tga from override if they want that... there's little point to download a mod to overwrite the overwritten with an original.
I don't think it's possible. Obsidian tried it with the Speeder parts on Nar Shaddaa, and it just crashes the game. I've not been able to find any way to properly add them to their inventory, so decided that deleting them was the best conclusion. If you do find a way to make it work though, I would be interested to know how.
I've have seen this mentioned before, but I could never replicate it nor have any idea why it happens. Usually people solve it by picking option 1 or 2. Did you try the same all times?

Although very few times the amount of drops is affected (I can't recall any from the top of my head), it's mostly just a multiplitude of fixes in the random lootscript.

I don't think it's going to happen for KOTOR1. They already adapted the game for mobile devices and I think that's all they'll end up doing KOTOR1 wise.
Dantooinians are really horrible with their animals (same for KOTOR2 where there would be kathhounds somewhere but they were other animals instead, fixed by TSLRCM).

Haven't fully digged into everything but just mentioning that alienvo.2da is definitely easier to find alien VO in TSL, aside from the added benefit of being actually used ingame.
