    Just started a new SWTOR Trooper character so I can record a LP. Including all the side missions

      For me it depends. I usually start with the cloth armor, then go with heavily armored looking gear by Nar Shaddaa/Alderaan. That's usually about when that kind became available naturally in the game.

      Other times I'll do it right after I leave Coruscant and pretend it's an equipment upgrade given by Garza as part of my promotion.
