  1. So, I decided to try re-working a Darth Sion wearable robes mod I started a while back. Originally, I'd gone into GIMP and combined PMBAM and N_SionA textures so that the model could have one unique texture. I'd been borrowing bare male chest textures from this mod for testing purposes. This mod was never released because I have no artistic ability of my own and didn't intend on stealing the author's work.

I thought that maybe it would be better in the meantime to have the model use the pre-existing textures. In order to do this, I used KOTORmax to split the torso into two separate meshes. I linked the new mesh (lower torso) to the OdysseyBase and to the best of my ability added bones and removed unnecessary bones from the upper torso mesh. When I exported a model that was successfully able to be converted back to binary (via MDLedit), this was the result, both the upper and lower torso meshes appearing invisible:

The meshes are set to render and I checked to make sure no normals were inverted, so I'm not sure where I went wrong. There's nothing wrong with the shadows' animations so I assume it's not a bone thing. I found this topic where someone who had a similar invisibility issue, but that was for an area model and had to do with lightmapping. The ascii model I imported into gmax was exported out of Blender so I don't know if that had anything to do with it either.

  2. TSL Removed Mouth Cubes (Modder's Resource)

Per request, this is a modder's resource to fix unused models in TSL that had the "mouth cube" problem, AKA tongue tip dummies unintentionally set to render.

I have also included a model for Jedi Malak with his "mouth cube" fixed. Not to be confused with my Malak Mouth Fix mod, the model in this download has no further changes.

    What's Included

    Jedi Malak (Full body): n_jedimalek.mdl/mdx

    Sith Governor/Apprentice (Head): sith_app.mdl/mdx

Atris (Darth Traya variant) (Full body): n_darthtraya.mdl/mdx

  3. TSL Jedi Malak Mouth Fix

This mod addresses several issues with Jedi Malak's mouth in KOTOR II.

Fixes include getting rid of the white box in his mouth, correcting the texture used for his tongue, connecting gaps, enlarging upper/lower teeth, & adjusting the placement of all of the above. As pointed out by JCarter426, Jedi Malak's model also used the wrong supermodel, which I've fixed in this mod as well.

All seriousness aside, my intention with this mod is to ensure that Malak's mouth is only a disaster post-contact with Revan's lightsaber.

    Installation & Uninstallation

To install this mod, drag the files in "Override" to the override folder in your game's directory.

To uninstall this mod, delete n_jedimalek.mdl & n_jedimalek.mdx from your game's override folder.

    Compatibility & Known Issues

When entering the Korriban cave tomb, Malak's tongue will appear half white. This is due to the lighting where he's standing & most likely can't be fixed.

Does anyone have you suggestions on the best way to write the "ReadMe" especially the disclaimer?

Before uploading my first mod, I looked at a lot of other modders' readme formats to get a feel for how they should be written. My tips are to make each section clear (i.e. putting a row of dashes under headers) & keep it just simple enough to be effective. Same thing for the disclaimer.

    1. How do I get lips on the aliens to work?

It should automatically work. If you test out your dialogue in-game & aliens' mouths don't move for certain lines, that means that VO is missing a .lip. It's a bit of a hassle, but you can check which lip files exist by copying the .mod files from the game's lips folder to Modules & open them with Kotor Tool under ERFs. Alien VO files are named like AVO_(Species)(Emotion)##

    2. Seeing how I have changed several of the Exchange thugs to new species (Rodians, Duros etc) where do I go to edit the dialogue to match each group of aliens in the Refugee Quad?

I'm not 100% sure what you mean by this, but if you're talking about editing the dialogue itself, you can put -1 in the StrRef for every line & type in the replacement.

  6. You're going to need to edit the .dlg files. I'm not too familiar with how alien VOs work in KOTOR II .dlg files, but it would be easiest to replace them with the nearest match based on the species you changed to (i.e. Gamorrean Angry Long -> Rodian Angry Long)

Also, I'd check to make sure any alien VO you plan on using has a corresponding .lip file since K2's missing a bunch.

  7. TSL Better Male Twi'lek Heads

This mod intends to address key issues with male Twi'lek heads in KOTOR II, most notably the addition of ear geometry.

The main improvements are the addition of ears and slimming down on the Bib Fortuna necks. Other tweaks include better smoothing groups, fixed teeth and eyelids, and recolored tongues. The ears were created using modified assets ported from SWTOR.

There's two options for installation. Option A uses the slim necks, while Option B retains the original necks. I highly recommend the first option as it fixes clipping with collars on heavy armor and it's the main choice for other mods which use my files.

Given the frequency of Twi'lek NPCs, this mod's a nice visual improvement that adds a much-needed element of consistency with other humanoid head models in the game.

The KOTOR I version can be found here.

    Installation & Uninstallation

To install this mod, run Installer.exe, select the option(s) you want, and proceed with the installation.

To uninstall this mod, run the installer again, select the same option(s), and click Tools -> Uninstall Mod / Restore Backup.

    Compatibility & Known Issues

This mod isn't compatible with any retextures of male Twi'lek heads unless that mod states otherwise. There's no known compatibility issues with any other mods.

I've given permission for this mod to be included in a few other projects. Be sure to check the descriptions of those mods to see if you need to install this first.

  8. Personally, I don't want any new KOTOR content to be in production until SWTOR's long gone. Gotta hold off until another canon (in this case KOTOR-canon) purge can happen.

    Hello!

Great idea, this one! I have a curiosity: why are there two audio files in .mp3 format while all the others are in .wav format?

    Cheers!

The game's .wav files are actually .mp3s with the extension changed. I made slight edits to the two .mp3 files (the endings were weird) & decided to leave them in that format.

  11. @Thor110 If I were you, I'd hold off for a bit. Being that this is the initial release, I want to make sure there's no issues & get to a few more tweaks before deciding if I want to let it be included elsewhere. Until then, I can't stop you from using it in personal testing, though.

Also, luckily this mod didn't require any 2DA editing. KOTOR I has aliensound.2da, but it's just a reference & not actually used in the game. I did create my own copy with the added in VOs, but haven't included it as a resource yet due to issues with it saving improperly.

  12. K1 Ported Alien VO Replacements

This mod replaces the voice overs used for Nikto, Aqualish, Gran, and Quarren NPCs in KOTOR.

In KOTOR I, Nikto, Aqualish, Gran, and Quarren NPCs use VOs that are meant for and shared by several other species. KOTOR II fixes this by adding VOs specific to these four species, so I figured hey, why not incorporate them back into the original game?

The intention of this mod is to provide a stronger sense of immersion and consistency between the two games, while keeping the affected dialogue true to its intended "feel." A bonus side effect is that the aggressive Nikto VOs make the Black Vulkars seem like an actual threat instead of comic relief.

    Installation & Uninstallation

To install this mod, run Installer.exe, select the option(s) you want, and proceed with the installation.

To uninstall this mod, run the installer again, select the same option(s), and click Tools -> Uninstall Mod / Restore Backup.

    Compatibility

Compatibility patches are included for K1CP (Queedle Fix) , KOTOR 1 Restoration, and Kainzorus Prime's K1 NPC Overhaul mod.

K1R has a Nikto NPC in the Vulkar Base sublevel with Basic (English) VOs. I decided to leave this unaltered since it's restored content.

    Known Issues

Some of the Nikto and Gran VOs don't have perfectly matching mouth animations, which is because KOTOR II is missing some LIP files. The placeholders I'm using are as close as I could find. These may be replaced in a later version.

Redros's mouth doesn't move for a couple of lines of dialogue. This bug happens regardless of this mod and only if his appearance is Nikto, so I felt the bug is beyond this mod's scope.
Please let me know of any other issues you find, or if you come across anything I missed!

I'm getting similar results as @Ashton Scorpius is above. Getting entry point not found errors on all tcl files I have tried. Never worked with this software before so I could be doing something wrong. I also made sure to use Run As Administrator for the CMD prompt install. I'm also running this on Windows 10.

I figured out the problem after my initial post, it simply can't run on Windows 8 or 10. I had to create a Windows 7 virtual machine in order to get it to work.

  15. TSL Ebon Hawk Downloadable Map

This mod allows the player to access a full map of the Ebon Hawk in KOTOR II.

If you're annoyed at blocked off corners within the ship that prevent you from filling the map on your own, then this is the mod for you!

Installing this will add an option to the ship's security system that allows you do download it in full. I've also added background stars to the Ebon Hawk's interior maps to make them look less bland.

    Installation

To install this mod, run Installer.exe and proceed with the installation.

To uninstall this mod, run the installer again and click Tools -> Uninstall Mod / Restore Backup.

    Compatibility & Known Issues

TSLRCM must be installed prior to installing this mod.

This mod is compatible with the Reveal Map Armband mod.

I've tried adding compatibility for versions of the game that aren't in English, but please let me know if this doesn't work!
