THE ONLY EXCEPTION SO FAR IS KAINZORUS PRIME'S NPC OVERHAUL... The KotOR 1 Restoration Mod is an attempt to restore almost all the content that was cut from the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic by BioWare Corp. Of course, these restorations will be within reason and things that were cut because they did not fit with the plot, and cannot be made to fit with the plot, will most definitley NOT be restored. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ » INTEGRATED MODS ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ » RESTORED CONTENT ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ » BUG FIXES/CHANGE LOG FOR 1.2 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ »» Original game: »» K1R Bugs: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ » BUG FIXES/CHANGE LOG FOR 1.1 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There weren't too many bugs in KotOR 1, thus there is such a short list. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ » INSTALLATION ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ An installation which involves the TSL Patcher has been made ready for your use and is the simplest and easiest way to carry out installation. Alternatively, a secondary installer has been made for convenience. It will not patch the files like the TSL Patcher will, but it should be less of a headache for most users. HOWEVER, IT WILL NEED TO BE INSTALLED BEFORE ANY OTHER MODS!!! Note: The K1R team is not responsible for any incompatibility issues that may arise from the use of this mod in conjunction with other mods. Also, in order to provide the best feedback for us we recommend that you play K1R with NO other mods installed. Note 2: If using the TSL Patcher AND your game is in English, before installing, copy the dialog.tlk file bundled with this package into the KotOR directory. This will give you the grammar and typo fixes to the vanilla text. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ »»»» TSL PATCHER INSTALLATION ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1) Double click K1R_1.2_Installer.exe found in the main directory of the unpacked folder. 2) Click the button labeled Install Mod. 3) Click yes to the box that'll pop up... if you wish to proceed with installation. 4) Watch as all the little file names and progress reports scroll by and wait until the installer is complete. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ » BUG REPORTING ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There are 2 ways to report bugs: 1: Post your issues in the Bug Reporting Thread. 2: PM your issues to Fair Strides at Deadlystream. While I have always logged into Deadly Stream and Nexus Mods regularly to check if my mods receive any new comment or bug report, July-August 2022 marks my busiest period in working on KotOR mods since developing and releasing my KotOR 2 same-gender romance mods in 2016-2017. (Having lots of free time certainly helps) Throughout the past couple of weeks, the things I have done in modding KotOR include: Updating my Kreia reskin mod by converting the files from TGA to TPC. Updating my TSL Improved Party Outfits by updating the inventory icons with rendered textures of the party members' outfits, instead of using cropped images from screenshots. Developing and releasing KotOR 1 Improved Party Outfits, my first new mod since 2018, on my 30th birthday no less. Developing and releasing a new same-gender romance mod: Carth Onasi and Male PC Romance. Supplying new bug fixes to the KotOR 1 Community Patch on its GitHub repository. Those bugs were related to Carth's romance that I discovered when I was working on my Carth and male PC romance mod. My Carth romance mod also includes those bug fixes. Updating my KotOR 2 same-gender romance mods by restructuring the installation process and setting up TSLPatcher to patch relevant dialogue files instead of replacing dialogue files, in order to improve compatibility with other mods. Updating my PartySwap and Extended Enclave Compatibility Patch since at long last, I finally figured out how to make Disciple appear on the Ebon Hawk during Extended Enclave's expanded Rebuilt Jedi Enclave sequence, if both Disciple and Handmaiden are recruited as party members. This fix is also included in the compatibility patch from my Handmaiden and Female Exile - Disciple and Male Exile Romance mod. [August 13 Update] Updating my Darth Revan Texture for Star Forge Robes by upscaling the texture and convert the texture files from TGA to TPC. [August 13 Update] Making two mods that give named NPCs unique appearance by utilizing assets from SpaceAlex's K1 Enhancement Pack modder's resource: Belaya's Unique Look and Human Xor Unique Look. This has been my most eventful period when it comes to working on KotOR mods since the development and releases of my KotOR 2 same-gender romance mods, but it is worth it.

In 2017, @Kexikus created a spreadsheet to list all of KotOR 1's modules and their corresponding Day, Night and Battle music. @Sith Holocron requested a TSL version of such list, though none of the sort has been made, so I decided to volunteer the task myself. Here you go: The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod (TSLRCM) + M4-78 Enhancement Project (M4-78EP) modules and music overview spreadsheet This spreadsheet covers all the modules from both TSLRCM and M4-78EP. Like in K1, the module codes can be used for the warp cheat code (for example, warp 003EBO). All music tracks are listed with their number corresponding to their row in ambientmusic.2da, their file name (the music files can be found in the StreamMusic folder) and their track title as identified with their TLK (dialog.tlk) StrRef. I have also included previews of the music by linking to YouTube in the spreadsheet. Hope you will find this spreadsheet helpful. Enjoy!

Would Fair Strides' Party on the Leviathan! count? By making it possible to talk to Juhani on the Leviathan, it restores some cut romance dialogue.

@N-DReW25 What I enjoyed about the mod were the dialogue changes, script changes, new animations, and the changes you made to different areas like Kebla Yurt's shop and the Upper City Cantina; the way you rearranged Kebla Yurt's shop makes much more sense than the way it was laid out originally. I liked how you had the ability to change the cantina music using the console in the music room and how the player character eavesdrops on the two dueling fans discussing their favorite duelists after the match. Small elements like that add more interaction to the game. I liked how you rearranged the dialogue and made it possible to get through all the different dialogue options when talking to an NPC without having to cycle back through the same dialogue or having to exit out of a conversation and click back on a character when you want to ask a different question. It makes it less tedious. I also liked how more vocal your companions are when they interjected during a conversation; they spoke different lines of dialogue that I hadn't heard before, probably because they're dependent on the sex of your character or party composition. Did Sarna use an alternate voice over? Her voice sounded a bit different. It made her seem more genuine. The new animations made the characters seem way more expressive. The only issues were that if they were wielding lightsabers or melee weapons they tended to stab themselves in the face while doing the pleading animation and sometimes the neck twitch animation played too much during conversations. The new music was great and added a lot to the ambience of the game. Honestly, I'd grown bored of the game's music so it was refreshing to hear something different. One of the best parts about the mod was the encounter with Bastila on the Rakatan Temple. The fight plays out more dramatically with Jolee and Juhani disabled. The way you reworked the dialogue was excellent. It made the scene more dramatic. I liked how there's a pause in the fighting, an exchange of words, and then the fight continues with your two companions. It felt like an real showdown. It reminded me of one of the duels from Episode I or III. One of the few things I didn't care for were some of the Jedi robes. They were a bit too low res for my liking and were incompatible with the Cloaked Jedi Robe mod. All in all, this was an excellent mod and it's a shame that it's been shelved at least in its current incarnation. I didn't encounter any game breaking bugs while I was testing it out waiting for compatibility with K1R. The new NPCs, module edits, dialogue changes, and different alterations breathed new life into an old game.

Hello, everyone. It has been much longer than usual, mainly because I did not have a computer that could run the KOTOR games for over a year. I am easing back into things now, but because it's been so long, I've forgotten much of what I had intended to work on. If you would like to see a particular update for any of my mods, or if you have a request for a mod that seems like something I'd do, please let me know. Lately, much of my time has been spent finding things to do, so I am all ears. Mod Updates Korriban: Back in Black for K1 – Fixed a typo that resulted in Jorak Uln having the wrong color robes. Fashion Line I: Cloaked Jedi Robes for K1 – I guess the previous version had the wrong files for PFBIM? I don't remember... Vision Enhancement for K1 – Added a fix for the "Cut Start" bug. Romance Enhancement: Biromantic Bastila for K1 – Corrected some gender checks that made Bastila say the wrong lines. Also added some VO that was missing. VO Fix for K2 – Converted audio and confirmed that it now definitely works with the Aspyr update. Sound Effects for K1 – Converted audio files with SithCodec. Feat Fixes for K2 – Added a bunch more feats that seemed denied to certain classes for no reason, corrected prestige class proficiencies, and added a fix for the droid feat gain swap for the heck of it even though TSLRCM already fixes it. New Mods Romance Enhancement: Pan-Galactic Flirting for K1 – Removes several gender checks throughout the game, allowing players of any gender to flirt with the affected NPCs. Sound Effects for K1 – A port of the previously existing mod for K1 to K2. Modding Tools SithCodec – Rewrote most of the code to be cleaner and follow better practices. The biggest improvement resulting from this is that SithCodec will preserve folder hierarchies. KOTOR Case Fixer – A simple tool that recursively iterates through a directory and converts all paths to lowercase. This corrects some problems with mods on Unix-based operating systems that are case sensitive. Something Completely Different @Leilukin, who previously made several romance mods for KOTOR 2, has released a Carth Onasi and Male PC Romance mod for KOTOR 1. This is something I had thought about when working on my romance mods, but I didn't want to tackle it because I expected Carth's romance to require more dialogue editing than Bastila's. I'm glad somebody decided to make this option possible, and I'm interested in seeing how they handled the dialogue when I get a chance to try it. Good job!

Modder's Resource : Mandalorian Mask by 90sK A new mask item that resembles Darth Revan's Mandalorian helmet. It does not replace the default Force Mask in TSL, it is a new item of its own. The texture works but the model might still display the orange interior glow. Future versions will fix this. -------------------------------------------------------------------- This code: giveitem revan , will spawn the mask in your inventory. Based on the Mandalorian mask design of Darth Revan fame. All texture editing and model edits by 90sK -------------------------------------------------------------------- Pretty good rendition of the Fallen Mandalorian Hero mask that I managed to make. Enjoy! -------------------------------------------------------------------- Extra special thanks to staff of LucasForums and DeadlyStream! -------------------------------------------------------------------- THIS MODIFICATION IS PROVIDED AS-IS AND IS NOT SUPPORTED BIOWARE/ OBSIDIAN ENTERTAINMENT OR LUCASARTSOR ANY LICENSERS/SPONSORS OF THE MENTIONED COMPANIES. Upscaled OG Icons by Sdub Version: 1.0 Description: This mod is an upscale of all item/armor/weapon icons to 256x256, along with some force power icons. There could be a few extra extra thrown in for good measure. You really cannot tell on the force icons but I felt, why not toss them in? This mod was made with @ndix UR high resolution menus in mind. At first it was for personal use because I didn't like the pixilation, but decided to release it. I must be honest these are not the greatest and have some of their own issues, like being somewhat smudged. But mostly helps with pixilation. The difference will be hard to tell in the screenshots. Additional note, if you use the KOTOR Save Editor, you may need to run it in full screen due to the new icon size. Installation: Extract files to override Uninstallation: Delete files placed in override Compatibility: This mod is compatible with any mod as long as it doesn't already replace these files. K1R Compatible: Yes Tools Used: waifu2x Big thanks to the KOTOR Modding Discord

As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and a player and modder of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic series, I would be remiss if I do not compile a list for the same-gender romance mods for the KotOR series throughout the games' modding history. Here is the list of same-gender romance mods for the KotOR series. The listed mods are categorized by which KotOR game the mods were made for, sorted by the mods' original release dates in chronological order. This list was compiled to be a resource and archive, aimed especially at fellow LGBTQ+ players of the KotOR series who want to make their KotOR games more gay. Happy gayming! [UPDATE September 20, 2022] The list is now also available on my own website.
