3 pointsJJ is a hack. He has no original ideas he just copies what came before. I can't believe Warner Brothers offered him a half a billion dollar contract to direct DCEU movies. In Hollywood it seems you can only fail upwards. As for the movie It will definitely be a RotJ rip off. As for the ST in general. I would have preferred if the movies would have taken place 1000 years after a episode VI. Having the Sith or dark Jedi or whatever the hell Kylo is. Having them return a mere 30 years later cheapens Anakin's sacrifice. if the ST took place 1000 years later than the Sith returning would have made sense. Like Darth Bane and the Sith that followed him up until Palpatine. They waited 1000 years until Palpatine and Vader destroyed the Jedi order. I know fans wanted to see Luke, Han, and Leia again but are you really happy with the treatment Disney has given the original character? 1000 years later Luke succeeded in restoring the Jedi Order and they thrived for a millennium. Luke, Han, and Leia are regarded as heroes and saviors of the Republic. Once the Sith return Luke could return as a Force ghost to train the new protagonist. Anyway that's my idea.

2 pointsI've been working on a mod for KOTOR 2 for the past year and a half solo. The mod is my vision of what KOTOR 3 could have been. The mod starts 5 years before the events of KOTOR 2 and a month after the end of the original KOTOR. The mod will ignore the 'canon" set by SWTOR. The mod will span 5 or more years. You will be able to control both Revan and the Exile during specific plot points. In the beginning of the mod you are in a locked room only with a terminal. When you click on the terminal you will be asked questions like. What gender was Revan and the Exile and what alignment were they? There are two paths to the mod one is a lightside path the other is darkside path. Depending on your answers you will either start as Darth Revan on his flagship or if you use the lightside you will start off as the Prodigal Knight on a big planet. Think Taris but bigger. There will be two big planets and several small planets. The smaller planets are the enemy's slave worlds. For now I will not reveal who the enemy are. All I would say they are more brutal than both the Mandalorians and Sith. This enemy is the reason for both Revan and Malak's fall, and is the threat Kreia speaks of. Also you will start off at max level so you can choose the attributes and powers for your Revan and Exile. In the beginning you will play as Revan, once the time comes to play as the Exile you will be taken to the character creation screen where you can customize the Exile. The reason why you will start off at max level is because the enemy will be tough, and since they are dead to the Force they will have high saves making them almost immune to your Force powers. There will be human and other alien slave warriors that can be killed with the Force. I do not recommend playing as a Jedi Consular or Sith Lord unless you want a challenge. Also I forgot to say depending on your alignment you will either get all your K1 companions (Lightside) or only Bastila, Canderous, HK47, and T3M4 (Darkside). The Exile will also get all their K2 companions. Since I don't have the luxury of hiring the original voice actors. The mod will be using spliced dialogue you since their voices. I will need to recruit voice actors for the new npc's and temporary companions. Also I will need to recruit a texture artist to reskin the modules and a talented scripter. But that's in the near future for now I am busy with world building, audio, npc's, dialogue, and items. Well that's all for now. When I get the modules retextured I will post screenshots. If you know anyone who is a texture artist, voice actor, or scripter let me know either here or by PM. If anyone has suggestion let me know also. Todo list for now: Put together 5 more planets one will be big and the enemy's homeworld. Currently 3 out of the four Republic planets are done. Finish Revan's Flagship. I am using the Leviathan module as a base and am having some issues like, locating textures for it and were to put the rest of the K1 files. Module 90% done. I used this tutorial: Finish replacing npc's with new npc's on planets already done.

1 pointBTW, for sure I'd be a lousy Sith because after all these years not even I'm able to learn their code... 1 pointNo disagreements from me here. As for Kylo, I thought it was okay he was a failure being not the real threat, that was Snoke. But yeah, Rian had to screw that up and make the most ineffectual, unintimidating worst possible villain ever to be the main baddie now. Just... uuuuuuugh. The weak conflicted part makes him interesting, sure, just NOT a good villain. Which why it was good he was a lackey. But nooooooooooooooo, can't have any dang stakes apparently.

1 point------------------------------------- Let's start Korriban!!!!!!!!! ------------------------------------ Screenshots taken with the already installed MOD 'K2 Exterior Textures, Part 1 Version 0.1' by @vurt The collection of textures and details is really A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I've had to choose only a few of the screenshots I've taken. ...but with a terrible glitch in the sky. Nothing important if you don't look too up... Do you see the same that I do? -------------------------------------- I'd had liked a lot can install the MOD 'Newbiemodder's Korriban Expansion 1,0' by @newbiemodder https://deadlystream.com/files/file/855-newbiemodders-korriban-expansion/?tab=comments but is needed a lot of workaround editing files for make it compatible with M4-78EP (even, by the posts, I'm not sure if it'd work) and although there is a good tutorial in this page: https://deadlystream.com/topic/2855-compatibility-with-korriban-expansion/?tab=comments#comment-29260 keeping in mind other MODs that I have already installed related with Korriban and that there are no news nor updates almost two years ago, I preffer do not install it. Maybe I try next time. -------------------------------------- Installed BEFORE disembark from the Ebon Hawk to Korriban - Valley of Dark Lords. 1 pointI thought Kylo Ren was badass in the first scene in TFA, then they removed his mask and that killed the mystique. Adam Driver is not an intimidating person. It reminded me of when Vader removed his mask in RotJ he was just an old man. Though I agree Adam Driver does portray the conflict better than Anakin. But he is such a bad villain I mean when Luke first confronted Vader he got his hand cut off. When Rey first confronts Kylo she whoops his ass. Though at that time I let it slide cause he got shot by Chewbacca prior to the fight, and was clearly still reeling from killing his father emotionally. But then he got his ass whooped again in TLJ, that just showed he's weak. The only part I liked in TLJ is when Snoke grills Kylo. I agreed with everything he said.

1 pointYeah, that was more or less my impression of the entire thing. Copy the OT storyline by creating a new successor to the Empire and new Rebellion, fine, but at least have decency to make it plausible. Although, it would have been cool to see Cade Skywalker in his drug fueled adventures across the now ruined New Republic on the big screen instead of a rehash of what we've already seen.

1 pointI know this is I am heeding your advice. I wrote that part in a hurry and sometimes when I am thinking while typing, what I think I type without realizing. But yes you know I appreciate all the help you have given me with your audio files, and I will show you something once I feel I have something worth showing. As of now the one big planet I've put together is empty. I am going to populate it soon and add dialogue. Also I am waiting for Thor110 to update their KOTOR Modding Tutorial Series. I am waiting for when they teach how to place placeables in unique ways so as not to feel like the same old vanilla planets.

1 pointGreetings, fellow Jedi! I am in an attempt to do Darth Revan's voice filter like the one heard on SW:ToR- this one in particular: Republic Shadow of Revan Ending; and I would like to share with you how the progress going- along with this tutorial. The program I am using is FL Studio 12 Producer Edition and I assume that every filters I am using on said attempt is possibly available and/or close-to-similar with every audio-editing program out there. I also attached some screen caps to help clear things up. So, let's start then! You would need two (2) layers of voices to work on to. In my attempt, both voices are un-pitched. The purple layer goes to Mixer channel 1, and then the red layer goes to Mixer Channel 2, like this- I am sure you were all aware about Mixer already; "All audio in FL Studio passes through the Mixer. Unless specifically directed, newly added Channels are routed to the Master Mixer Track" - support. Mixer in FL Studio would looked like this- Now- with the 1st layer, you would want a Multiband Compressor, a Hardcore Modulator and a Stereo Shaper. Theoretically, what you wanted to do with Multiband Compressor is to cut the high and middle frequencies. Hardcore modulating is much effortless, turn the rate level to its fullest until you hear the voice "rattling". Stereo Shaper was only to set the output to Mono [Yes- if there's a "set to mid" mix preset available, choose that!]. Assuming you're done with the 1st layer- goes to the 2nd then. With the 2nd, you would want a Multiband Compressor, a Chorus filter and a Wave Shaper [This one is important]. Theoretically, what you wanted to do with Multiband Compressor is cut the low frequencies and keep some high frequencies as you like [You could say the 2nd layer EQ setup is an anomaly to the 1st layer]. With Chorus filter on, set the speed and intensity level as much as possible [I kept width level to zero]. Goes to the essential part; Wave Shaping. This one is pretty cosmetic, but essential for Darth Revan's voice [imagine Gal Gadot; she's pretty, but without make-up she no Wonder Woman] - and I can't guarantee you a clean and clear instruction here because the plug-in is just a wave form. What you would wanted to do with it is to have the voice to produce some kind of noises; like a clipping sounds [when the level of a sound reach above 5db- that "broken" sound which we were searching for]. Done with both layers, and we are done with everything. No plug-in added to the Master channel there so.. considered it is a wrap then! The very last phase is to exporting the project; either to .WAV, .MP3, .OGG, .FLAC or etc. Your choice! But assuming you want to use it in-game, you would want to export the project either to .WAV or .MP3- mandatorily to .WAV just to be safe. Can't guarantee we have the same result here- as different program could means different result [even using the same one didn't have its warranty]. But hey, who knows your result is better right? And it should be! If you have any questions- just ask, PM me, or anything. I'd be glad to assist! Also, any constructive feedbacks is very much appreciated- as I am still and will always be in learning process too! Good luck with the attempt, may the Force be with you! Attached below is an end-result of this attempt. Keep in mind both the tutorial and/or the result is far from perfect, but self-assured; They are on the right track.

1 pointI think some of those are a stretch, especially Canto Bight being Cloud City... But, for sure, there are similar moments. But whereas TFA hit the same narrative beats as ANH (in which I can fully understand the comparisons), TLJ just seemed to cherry pick random moments to throw in. I wouldn’t class it as a remake of anything, it was just a mess of random scenes.

1 pointYou guys ever have that friend that's trying too hard and it's cringe inducing? That's the D23 trailer.
-
1 pointEither one of the load screens can be desaturated. I was planning on doing desaturated versions for the default mod, but I’m so in love with the colored versions that it makes it hard. I am not sure why people think the first one matches the style better. They are both just screenshots of the area like everywhere else in the game 🤷♂️ But maybe it does match better. The first screenshot is very similar to one angle from an original screenshot. The second is from a section of the street that I created from scratch with no real template to base it on. I’ll post up desaturated versions of both and maybe that will help decide. Here's both desaturated: I agree that the Option 1 looks much better than Option 2 when desaturated. I'm thinking the best course is, as others have suggested, Option 1 for default loadscreen, and Option 2 for Loadscreens With Color Add-on.
-
1 pointJust to clarify, you can’t use two load screens for the same module. These are both options for the same module. It wouldn’t make sense to use one in another area that isn’t the street. Thank you everyone for your thoughts. If anyone else wants to chime in, I am still undecided.
-
1 point1 feels more KotOR, though I agree with the comment wondering why you couldn't use both for different loading areas.
-
1 pointThanks for this tidbit of info, I hadn't noticed it before, I am going to check it out and make sure it gets restored. Two options for loading screen, which should I go with?
-
1 pointLooking forwards to this part of progress! I may have an idea with that but ain't gonna get on your toes for now - bit of hint though; "Gladiator of the Week" 😬 And bit of information regarding * gladiator fights*, SS -in case you didn't know- that in streamsounds there's Sleheyron's stinger/sbat but apparently it's labelled wrong [mus_sbat_sleyhey]. It doesn't matched with what's in the ambientmusic.2da [mus_sbat_slehey]. It makes the stinger didn't played with the assigned battle music. And @DarthParametric - that's one of the best application of alpha-masking I've ever seen, lol.
-
1 pointGetting back in the swing of things after being gone a week on vacation. The street module is all walkmeshed, blocks cameras, has aurora lights, and a minimap. All that's left is the path file, which are still proving a bit finnicky. Most of those are dynamic things that are difficult to see in a screenshot, so I'll try to do a video in the next few weeks to showcase some of the improvements. Also I will try to add in NPCs and such before then. Next I will be switching gears, working on the Arena Hall/entrance area and attempting to setup some gladiator fights.

1 pointFinally! Someone understands.
-
1 pointHe's never going to finish it with that sort of attitude. Clearly he needs to be chained to his computer and beaten every time he stops working on it.
-
1 pointHe's fine Deathscepter, I trust whatever the finished product to be will be well worth the development waiting time. Sithspecter I will talk to my guy from JKhub who has the contacts, one we just used for my mod of the revamped Escape Yavin IV, can check out its progress here: https://jkhub.org/topic/9375-escape-yavin-iv-revamped/ I don't have the video where he voiced over the existing lines but the two of them together made great and convincing dialogue scenes. As for the music, I'm currently updating my audio software, but I can recreate Jeremy Soule's KOTOR I and II tracks minus the percussion instruments to a T. I am looking for a drummer / beat mixer to help add that element to my songs as that is the only thing preventing me from finishing Sleheyron-themed music, so if you did use a new song or two, one explore / one battle, it would not overlap the themes that were placed in the Mysterious Box and the Starforge (the original mus_bat_sley etc) or if you used those themes then perhaps a new theme for the Mysterious Box and the Starforge Battle would be in development on my part.

1 pointBack in 2006 Darth InSidious was making this "Rhen Var" mod which consisted of reskinned M4-78 & HK Factory modules, I know he has uploaded some pics of the old mod on his gallery somewhere here but whether or not he's actually making it is unknown. Here is a fAnTaStIc 2006 trailer of the mod in its 2006 quality:
-
1 pointI think Sleheyron will take less time than the Rhen Var mod.
-
1 pointOk, so what are the pre-requisite conditions for this to happen? I have her at the highest influence, and I've been kind in my dialogues with her. What am I missing? I have even trained her as a Jedi.
-
0 pointsI was not a big Anakin Skywalker fan, I personally enjoyed the prequels BUT! not for Anakin. It was the other characters like Palpatine, Obi Wan, Yoda, and Mace. But I did like how Hayden showed the conflict physically. My point is I like flawed characters. In the KOTOR games my favorite between Revan and the Exile is the Exile. Why? Cause like Anakin and Kylo they are flawed. Adam Driver is a good actor and he not only shows the conflict physically but vocally as well. I did like Kylo when I saw TFA, and defended why he was beaten by Rey in that movie, even though I thought it was a mistake JJ decided to remove the mask. But after reading what you posted. It does make sense why without the mask he looks not intimidating. With the mask he is a badass but behind the mask is a flawed and very insecure individual. You know I've only seen TFA twice and TLJ once. Although I still am not a fan of JJ that aspect of Kylo being a flawed individual behind the mask makes me re-evaluate Kylo again. Good job DarthVarkor!
-
0 pointsWell, to be fair. He did get owned by Luke Skywalker of all people...how else would that go down? And like I said above, that's the whole point of Kylo Ren's mask. He isn't a typical intimidating badass villain, that's why he wears the mask. His whole very insecure, unstable and unpredictable personality is what makes him interesting, to me at least.
-
0 pointsI think that’s the whole point to him, really. He wants so badly to be Vader but he’s just an insecure child underneath the mask. If we’d have just gotten another masked badass villain after Vader it would have been pointless, there’s no beating him. Look at Dooku, Maul, Grevious, etc. They pale in comparison, even Sir Christopher Lee could not save that role. To me, one of the few saving graces of TLJ is his conflicted nature. He’s what Anakin should have been in my opinion, you can clearly tell how conflicted he is in what he wants as apposed to Anakin giving wooden lines and evil glances. ...Until Rian Johnson decided to throw that away in the final act for a generic good vs evil battle, that is. Here’s hoping JJ does something interesting with him in Ep9, because he has the most potential out of all the ST characters.
