There are so-called "lite" alien models that are of lesser quality than most other models in the game. These include the Quarren and Gran species. Both aliens feature more prominently in the sequel and their models were given an overhaul. This mod ports the K2 versions of the models back to K1, improving the quality of models and creating a more consistent aesthetic. -

JUHANI THE CATLIKE CATHAR for K1 a Quanon, RedRob41, jonathan7 production ================================================================ Description: This mod changes Juhani the Cathar to have a more cat like face. The head model has been modified to give her mouth, nose and ears a more pleasing shape. There are seven different skin color variations, including standard yellow (similar to her default look), Siberian white tiger (based on idea by Redhawke), cheetah, lioness, tigress, black panther, and a blue one similar to (but more cat-like than) a Na'vi from the movie Avatar. This mod will change her face, underwear (it's really just fur), normal clothes, second set of clothes, and all icons and portraits. This mod also includes two new double bladed lightsabers and two sets of clothes for Juhani. The clothing (Juhani's Predatory Stealth Mesh) can only be worn by Juhani, since it requires Force Camouflage feat. The other clothing (Juhani's Light Armor) is just a uti file that adds some stats, but they will look the same as her basic clothes. ================================================================ Credits: Jonathan7: - the idea: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=199748&page=2 - cheetah and lioness face textures Quanon: - w_dblsbr_063 & w_dblsbr_064 models, textures, icons, uti - P_JuhaniBB63.tga (clothing areas) & uti RedRob41: - P_JuhaniH head model, textures (yellow, Siberian [inspired by Redhawke], Na'vi blue, Tigress, Panther) - fixes for cheetah and lioness textures face, neck & hairline to match uvw map seams - portraits: PO_pjuhani, PO_pjuhani2 & po_pjuhani3 - P_JuhaniBA01 fur underwear textures (all seven) - P_JuhaniBB body model (slight edit on back flap), BB01.tga textures (all seven) - P_JuhaniBB63.tga (skin and fishnet areas) - ia_cloths_063 & 62 icon textures - w_dblsbr_063 & w_dblsbr_064 uvw map fixes, compact (re-pack) the textures - TSLPatcher setup Thanks to Zhaboka for grammar tips on the item descriptions. ================================================================ -

Note: An improved version of this is included in the KOTOR Community Patch starting with version 1.8 Throughout KOTOR 1 there are many models that are "lite" versions. Low-poly and low-res textures in order to help older computers. Since most computers can handle it fine now, this mod upgrades all possible lite models to full-res models/textures. (There are a few models that only have "lite" versions, and obviously nothing can be done). Here's a list of all the models affected by this mod: All Lite Commoner models (22 in total) Lite Jawa Lite Protocol Droid 01 Lite Protocol Droid 02 (No new model, but an upgraded texture) Lite Rakata 01 Lite Republic Officer Male White Lite Republic Officer Female White Lite Selkath 01 Lite Sith Female Officer Lite Sith Male Officer Lite Sith Soldier Lite Swoop Gang 01 Lite Twilek Female Lite Twilek Male Lite Wookie Male Lite Wookie Female Note: if you're planning to use the Sith Soldier Texture Restoration alternate installation, install this mod first. Recommended mods: JC's Dense Aliens for K1 - ports a couple of the full-res models from K2 into the Lite models of K1. High Quality Spaceman - Improves the texture of the lite spaceman model I give permission to anybody to do whatever they like with this mod, with or without credit (but I mean c'mon...cool internet points, right guys?) -
1 pointI opted to wait an entire year. And now I bump this again, in hopes of someone picking it up.

1 pointI just learnt that I got accepted to university. Can’t decide whether I should be thrilled or scared.

1 pointI really like the overcast feel, it makes Dantooine ever more depressing without it being too over the top.

1 pointAnd here is the ingame shot: Getting there took quite a while. First I had to get the grass color right which is a really annoying thing to do as I can't just take the colors from the texture due to the different lighting in Terragen and the game. But I got there after about 10 iterations or so... Then I noticed something that I already knew but had completely forgotten. The TSL Dantooine skybox is rotated compared to the K1 skybox, so my reused K1 terrain was also rotated ingame. To fix this inconsistency, I had to rotate the camera in Terragen, but then I also had to move the sun accordingly so that it stays where it's supposed to be. But then the sun disappeared behind my clouds and it's impossible to rotate the clouds in TG which was a real shame in that case because I liked those clouds a lot. Many cloud iterations later, I got new cloud shapes that look good again, so those are what you see in the screenshot. Now I just have to fix the 3d grass in the skybox and fix the actual skybox model. Currently the horizon is still way too high.

1 pointI was thinking of a way you could keep her original voice for the Taris encounter, but still have the option for additional VO for an expanded version where she escapes and you fight her later on another planet. You could say she was severely wounded in the first fight and needed to have cybernetics implanted. That would free you up to use a robotic sort of voice filter to distort whoever did the new VO and provide an easy explanation for why she has a different voice in a subsequent encounter.

1 pointA few days ago when I was driving home, we had this really beautiful sky that you sometimes get when a storm is coming. The next day, I thought that something like this might work really well for TSLs Dantooine. So I opened Terragen again and tried to replicate what I saw the day before. It was actually surprisingly easy to get a similar result but it took some more days to get a version that worked as a skybox ingame as most tries just looked off in some way. I only have a low quality test render of that latest version, but I figured I might as well share it here: I'm currently rendering a higher quality test version with the updated terrain I created for K1s V2 Dantooine skybox. Once that's done, I'll probably have an ingame screenshot as well.
