So the new site skin seems very phone-centric. All the headings and text are big and chunky, presumably for touch navigation. There doesn't appear to be any provision to change scales or widths in user settings. Switching to the default theme does make a minor improvement (including putting downloads on the navigation bar instead of burying it in a drop-down), but Jesus, the blinding whiteness of it. Are there any plans for more desktop-friendly themes/layouts in the future? Edit: Btw, I find the "someone reacted to your post" message unintentionally hilarious. The first time I saw it I imagined the reaction was Tyvokka's eye twitching.

Well, I wanted to try it out myself and I have both games and both programs installed already so . . . it made sense to do it.

Oh hey. Deadlystream is back. I wonder what was dO-eeEAAUGH! 😱 But... my rusty red color scheme that inspired fear in targets. I'm now stuck with a poor shade of durasteel.😞 OH WELL!😊

    Version v1.0.3

    2,201 downloads

MDLedit is a (de)compiler for KOTOR and KOTOR2 model files. Which version should I download? There are two packages on the download page. They differ in whether the program uses Visual Styles or not. The difference is purely visual, they are completely equivalent in terms of functionality. The version in the mdledit_v0.0.0xp.zip package will work on Windows XP or newer as well as on MacOS through Wine, but it will look like crap. The version in the mdledit_v0.0.0.zip package will look better, but will only work on Windows Vista and up. How do I set it up? Open the .zip archive, extract the .exe and run it. If you want MDLedit to keep track of your option between sessions, create a blank mdledit.ini file in the same folder as your .exe. How do I use it? The program comes with a help documentation window accessible from the About menu, read that to learn how to use it. If something is not mentioned there please let me know in the relevant thread (link to be added) and I will explain the functionality and add the explanation to the help window for the next version. MDLedit was designed to be used with KOTORmax and the new version of KotORBlender by ndix UR. Using the ascii model files that it produces with NWmax will cause data to be ignored in the best case and a crash in the worst. The program crashed/froze/reported a weird error! Describe your issue in the relevant thread and I will look into it. Attaching a .zip archive with the files that MDLedit was processing when the problem appeared is also very welcome. Thanks A big thank you goes out to ndix UR, without whom MDLedit would have maybe half the functionality it has now. I would also like to thank the testers, who also made a lot of great suggestions that made MDLedit that much better: – DarthParametric – JCarter426 – Quanon – VarsityPuppet – FairStrides The program was built on the knowledge about the MDL format, which is the result of the work of many modders, including CChargin, Magnusll, JdNoa, ndix UR, DarthSapiens, VarsityPuppet, FairStrides, and others! Thank you for your efforts! Lastly I'd like to thank the KOTOR modding community, which makes taking the time to make such a tool worth it.

    From the album: The Playthrough

A reskin attempt of Juhani; based on "Artistic Fanart Portraits [K1] 1.1"- a mod which edited, curated & uploaded by Mutilator57. [Do some edits to the portrait too- specifically the color & tone; all for personal playthrough]. The vanilla portrait itself is extracted from "Juhani (kotor)", an amazing airbrushing art by CorbinHunter. For base head texture of this attempt I am using Keeper_DP's "Juhani 'Pretty' Reskin" with miro42's "Juhani Real Cathar Head" .mdl & .mdx. For body texture I am using Marius Fett's "Juhani's Dark Side Clothing" vanilla default clothes. Juhani; was a Cathar female & a Knight in the Jedi Order during the Jedi Civil War.

I think the new looks is cool. I miss my personal color choice, but I'll live. The status update thing wasn't obvious to figure out. There is no "see more" button, and replying wasn't obvious either. A few things took some time to figure out, but that's only because I'm used to the old layout. I am interested in finding out if the search function is changed. It wasn't very good before. The filters in the old one were a bit weird too. Some odd options, while missing necessary ones.

Thanks for the input, we will adjust as needed. I hesitate the add any additional themes but I will keep it in mind. Please do note this is not the final form, just an intermediary step that had to be taken to continue developing the interface of Deadlystream. Thanks for your patience through it all and please keep submitting bugs, ideas and general feedback. I am listening! Preferably keep it to this forum though.

Hahahah, thanks jc2! Sorry I couldn't do much about her brick headed symptoms 🙃 Yes! As stated in your mod's description it is. Thank you Mutilator57 for curating & publishing that mod, as the mod plays an important element to my current playthrough. And thank you for the kind words too!

The currently released version of KotORBlender lacks a lot of support for emitters. And animation. Definitely animation of emitter properties. It's really hard to tell what you are trying to point out in the low resolution image, but I'm guessing it's the middle portion, which is probably all generated by emitters, and all brought online during maybe an off2on animation or something. If you want to modify this model, or any other with animated emitter properties, you just have to wait for the new KotORBlender version or use 3DSMax/Gmax/KotorMax if you can't wait. Oh, or cut and paste the animations (from the first 'newanim' line to the last ... 'endanim'? line) from plc_starmap-ascii.mdl into plc_starmap_v2.mdl (delete all the animations present in plc_starmap_v2.mdl before pasting in the new ones). They're just text files. That happens after you export from Blender but before you recompile using MDLOps. Also, in MDLOps you should be using weld/minimize vertices when you do 'compute smoothgroup numbers' on the Binary=>ASCII decompile. Otherwise the smoothgroup stuff won't really do anything, as KotORBlender converts that information into 'sharp edge' info, but it won't do it across edges that are 'split' (which is how they come out if you don't use weld/minimize, due to how the MDL/MDX format works).

Interesting! Even with the reskin though, Juhani still has a bit of a brick head.

Okay, this site is woah. Anyways, ebmar you need Miles Sound Tool, which used to be freeware. I've found a reddit post that explains how you'd do it. > I meant to leave it as a link, but this update has me confused. Nevertheless, once you've done all that has been said to do in that reddit, you can then use any audio editing software like audacity to edit the audio in whatever way you'd like.

Updated my last Korriban Expansion post with some pictures and a brief description of the characters I'm seeking to voice. If interested, please respond in that thread. (Thanks!)

Did not notice there's an introductions section here, how unrespectful of me Hello, My name's ebmar, you can call me eb. I'm new on forum thing, could say the year before 2018 I don't know what a mod is. Earlier this year I stumbled to KotOR, have known this game about late 2000's but never interest me to play it. And then I did the first ever playthrough of KotOR about early March this year. Play vanilla the first time, and then I saw something about "KotOR mod" and elses; I decided to give it a go to play KotOR with mods installed. Short story short- this game is amazing, especially with mods installed; as we can shape the game how we wanted it to be. Thank you to all modders either from this forum and/or the others, for making it possible for me- for us; gamers to experience the greatness of this masterpiece. I'm looking to participate on some modding to, but as for now my skill is limited only to editing .tga's, bit of audio editing I could do and/or basic video editing- I'm enjoying myself here on this forum. That's all, thank's lad! May the Force with you all -ebmar
