N.B.: This will ONLY work for 1280x768 resolution. It will NOT work with any other resolution. KotOR II will support 1280x768 without a widescreen patch, even though it isn't on the list of graphics options in the game. To activate this option, you need to go to your swkotor2.ini file (found in the SWKotOR2/ folder), and under [Display Options] change Width=XXX (where XXX is its present value) to Width=1280 and Height=XXX to Height=768. Then do the same to the Height=XXX and Width=XXX fields under [Graphics Options]. Then save the file and close it. The game should now run at 1280x768. Just thought people might want to know about this.

Update: Well, attempting to use DURATION_TYPE_INSTANT apparently simply causes the effect to not apply. The script I tried: void main() { object oPC = GetFirstPC(); effect e1 = EffectSavingThrowIncrease(3, 2, 10); ApplyEffectToObject(0, e1, oPC, 0.0f); } N.B.: 0 is equivalent to DURATION_TYPE_INSTANT. While this will give a bonus, it is removed by the first ClearAllEffects() call it comes across.

So, chaps and chapesses, I have a query. As we all know, fiddling with player attributes, skills, feats, powers and saves is (relatively) simple in TSL, since script functions directly affecting these things exist, and which allow for a permanently-permanent way of doing them. Unfortunately, KotOR I doesn't seem to have a direct way of doing this, since DURATION_TYPE_PERMANENT is only permanent until the effect is dispelled or a ClearAllEffects() call is made. What I'm looking to do is to permanently modify a player's saving throw score, in such a way that it can't be dispelled, and I'd like your opinions on how best to do this. Is a creature hide the best way to go? And am I likely to cause incompatibilities with many mods? (I know redrobe used them for his playable aliens mod - does he use all of the slots at any point?) Is there a scripting workaround I'm not aware of? Do you have any ideas for one?

"Confusing" seems about right, though the restoration is certainly also... interesting. I suspect the reason we don't have the protracted player sleeping in the final cut of the game is the annoying way in which the cape keeps flicking. The materialisations are really quite strange, and I think walking might have been the preferable option here, if it were possible (although I know that NPCs can be very stubborn when it comes to walking waypoints). Nevertheless, cool find HH!

It isn't. It's a version which is more completely brown/rusted over, but which also shows more battle-damage. -
I just found my attempt at restoring the injured Sith. So far as I can tell, I wasn't very far into it. I had, however, culled the lines from dialog.tlk and put them into a file, and also started trying to sort them into some kind of sense. I did make a stab at restoring the dialogue, which I've attached to this post, but note that it is far from complete. injs.dlg There is also a complete, but I think at present unused dialogue in the unk_m44aa module: it's titled "unk44_wraidhand", and apparently belonged to a Dark Jedi who would speak a bit before killing you (and presumably, attacked with some wraids). From what I (dimly) remember, the .utc exists, but just attacks you at the moment, without any dialogue. Could be wrong on that, though.

For some reason, I never released it then. So, six years late... here it is, ready for use. Installation ------------ Just drop the files "LUN_hamhed.tga" and "LUN_hamhed.txi" into your Override folder. Uninstallation -------------- Take them out again. [K1] Unknown World Alternative Hammerhead ========================================= By Darth InSidious ================== Description ----------- I suddenly remembered an alternative texture I found in about 2006, for the downed Hammerhead cruiser you can see from the beach of the Unknown World. For some reason, I never released it then. So, six years late... here it is, ready for use. Installation ------------ Just drop the files "LUN_hamhed.tga" and "LUN_hamhed.txi" into your Override folder. Uninstallation -------------- Take them out again. Incompatibilities ----------------- None that I'm aware of. This mod adds some robes to the game, called Jedi General Robes. They can be bought from Mika Dorin's store on Korriban. They have the following properties: Defense Bonus 3 Charisma bous +1 Will bonus +2 Reflex bonus +1 The robes can be bought from Mika Dorin on Korriban after the Leviathan, or cheated into the game by typing "giveitem di_jgr" into the console (without the quote marks).
