  1. People are actually on the IRC here. This is a glorious day.

  2. If you want to start modding, I'd recommend checking out the tutorials on Holowan Labs - you can find most of what you need there.
  3. The Deadly Stream skin shows when I first enter the site, but it reverts to "IPS Community" when I log in - anyone else got this?

      Afraid that didn't work...

Ah you manually chose a different skin. I changed it to the default skin and now you should be good to go.

Yeah, it works now - thanks!

  4. I thought flight suit, but unless there's a targetting computer in that helmet overhang, it'd just be impractical.
  5. Yeah, that's right. They've just reskinned the bits that were collapsed on Dantooine with maintenance droids and suchlike.
  6. Those helmets are just messed up. And the people seem weirdly thin.
  7. Kandosii is a general word effectively meaning "awesome" - it literally translates to "ruthless", which is why the Kandosii-class dreadnought was named as such.
  8. GPU=Graphics Processing Unit Windows 8 is terrible. That processor is definitely really nice, I'll say that.
  9. On the subject of the calendar structure, Wookiepedia says it's the same as ours until you get to weeks, which are 5 days, then 7 week months, 35 day months, 368 day years.
  10. Sorry I haven't been online much lately - I had a series of physics assessments. I should be back now.

  11. KotOR, Elder Scrolls, Breath of Fire, Star Traders/Cyber Knights (indie mobile games), Lord of the Rings Online, Star Trek Online, Fallout...
  12. Yeah, the one by Exile007 is up here, but it was only released as a public beta version. Darth Sapiens started work on finishing it up, fixing bugs and making it RCM-compatible, but I think that's over as well due to the sheer amount of stuff to change/fix (no disrespect to Exile007 intended).
  13. SWTOR isn't working for me - I press Play (at the launcher), and it just closes. Repaired install, nothing different. Anyone else got this?

  14. There's barely anything left of the Holocron quest, so they couldn't really restore it - it'd mostly be newly created content, with a few dialogue files restored. The GenoHaradan has a little more content, but the problem is the same, and it seems that everyone who's tried to work on it themselves has ended up temporarily leaving the modding scene, so I don't think it'll be picked up again any time soon.

If you voted in the Golden Joysticks at computerandvideogames.com they gave you a choice between Steam codes for that and Mafia 2. Doesn't contain any of the DLC, but that's nothing to complain about - free game is free game.

  18. Yeah, I don't think this is coming out any time soon - go ahead with RCM and M4-78EP.

  20. According to an inside source (my school server tech who does work for EA), the new Battlefront won't use the Frostbite engine, and all the devs are going crazy trying to make a completely new engine for it.

I hope the new one is like the old game story wise. The setting and characters looked cool, normal lightsaber combat and martial arts. Though I dont have high hopes for this new version.

no frostbite engine? that's weird. and why do you say that mindwizard?

  21. I like the removal of level scaling in OOO because it feels more realistic - if you run into a group of bandits, they shouldn't be wearing massively expensive armour, regardless of your level, as they wouldn't have the money (unless they're really, really good bandits). That's how it was in Morrowind - if you're an expert adventurer, you could step off the boat and navigate your way through a dungeon to find an ancient weapon of great power, but in Oblivion, you could leave the dungeons and find no more than a little enchanted knife.
