I tested my fixes on my local install and I am successful but I need to have confirmation that I am not fixing issues that only happen to me.
If you Fair Strides and/or somebody else could take a few minutes to check that these bugs belong to the original game, I'd be happy to let you test the fixes for them.
Thanks!
Hello! I would like to try only the restored cutscene with Zaerdra, the extra dialog with Carth after landing on Taris and the restored dialog for the Sith at the base. Could someone tell me which files I need to manually copy over from the K1R folder?
Thanks!
I am really grateful, Fair Strides.
Please tell me if you can do the following:
1) Go to Manaan
2) Go to the Mercenary Enclave
3) Speak to Shaelas and accept to investigate the issue of the missing young Selkath
4) Speak to the Iridorian Mercenary and ask about the missing young Selkath choosing the option "How many credits would it take to make my business your business?"
At this point the game dialogue should break, making it impossible to continue with the game. At least, that's what's happening to me. Can you confirm it?
Also please tell me if you could do the following:
1) Go to Manaan
2) Pay the fee to enter Atho City
3) Leave Manaan for any other planet
4) Return to Manaan
In my experience, you'll find the door to Atho City still open, despite the Selkath Port guard telling you before that a fee is due for each time you leave the planet and then come back.
Thanks!
Hello! I need one volunteer able to test a few possible fixes for the Manaan section of the game.
Please reply here if you are available. A non-modded game is required.
I guess ignoring it is the way to go...
And yes, I think Fair Strides might be right about it not working properly if you change modules with it still blinking...
Hello! I thought to ask here if anyone else is experiencing the same. I played the game 3-4 times in my life with and without modifications and as long as I can remember I have always had this kind of issue with the Inventory icon. It should blink when new items are added to the Inventory but in my case it blinks even after I have looked at them and all items are thus examined.
Am I being dense and there is another reason why it still blinks?
Thanks!
Hassat Hunter,
would you be so kind as to provide us with a 1.8.3 change log like you did before for the other versions you've been working on? Thanks!
It seems there are actually many countries in the world cut off from Gamefront's idiotic policy.
Never before have I had such an issue anywhere else on the Internet. It's a disgrace (I had a couple of my own mods there too once upon a time and pulled them down immediately).
The only thing I personally am not really fond of is the choice of a much darker tone for many textures.
In some cases (http://deadlystream.com/forum/topic/2062-tsl-textures-remastered/?p=21172 and http://deadlystream.com/forum/topic/2062-tsl-textures-remastered/?p=21173) it is really so much that it ends up thwarting the commendable intention to remain faithful to the original game visuals, delivering a much different atmosphere to the environments.
For the rest, great work.
I guess something went wrong...
I am still hoping to see this done sooner or later because it's such an interesting mod. Oh and now, you need to make it compatible with 1.8.2, dear Darth_Sapiens...
Best game: Fahrenheit (aka Indigo Prophecy)
Honorable mention: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Under a Killing Moon, Another World, Baldur's Gate
Favourite Series: Knights of the Old Republic
Honorable mention: Metroid Trilogy, Max Payne, Metal Gear Solid, Wing Commander
I don't mean to be disrespectful but that kind of answer is really inane.
Not only because Hassat Hunter was asking explicitly whether or not this is worth including and I am providing feedback, but also because it presumes that adding/restoring is always a plus while instead being selective is a quality that in the end is reflected in the final product.
I am not so sure that the Mobility feat is something that the game needs restored actually.
It doesn't really bring anything meaningful. As feat, it is so underwhelming that people can't even notice weather it is working or not without specific tests. The impact on the game is neglectable: who is interested in a feat that allows to run a 10% faster? Not to mention that it feels a duplication of the Burst of Speed Jedi Power.
So, in the end, I would say no to its inclusion in 1.8.2.
