Short backstory... I don't have a smartphone, no need, no want. Steam now decides that makes me a pariah, a second-class user, and pretty much completely blocks my ability to actually make some funds with trading cards, you know, what somewhat pays for my gaming habit. So yeah... With a Steam that obviously doesn't want me, why would I actually make their service more attractive by having an easy one-click auto-updating TSLRCM? I don't quite see why I would support them if they dismiss me so badly. So with that in mind, I'm thinking about, starting March 9th, to remove TSLRCM from the Workshop completely. People would have to come here or moddb (which I will update then) for their fix and updates. The age-old issues with installing noobs will return again (and know pressing a button is already hard for them already). So, does anyone think this is too harsh? Wants to try and make me change my mind? Cause trust me, I WILL do it.

Let's hope it's better than IV... sorry, I mean VII.
-
And bought it aswell... bit expensive but well, must have. :/
-
I'll check out that 804DRO then. And yeah, I remember the strangele colored people from the Basilisk landing video. Hopefully you can find a fix for that.
-
Pretty unlikely due to size.
-
It'll be part of the next update. ETA: Not a clue.
-
You mean the lens flare that just suddenly stops in the Harbinger arrival cutscene? And what's the change in 804DRO?
-
TSLPatcher will allow multiple installations with the same .exe. Of course, patching with it can be a pain sometimes (I really wouldn't bother with .dlg's), people would need to run the installer multiple times to install (manual would be easier) etc. So yeah, it might not be worth it.

Modifying the camera, as I did with Tobin.

Achilles fix works fine if it uses TSLPatcher, if it just replaces the appearance.2da, then not. Danil-ch's mods will work fine, they should be hosted here. And yeah, was thinking about the rebalance mod, oops. The AI mod works, but it might lead to your partymembers starting combat on Nar Shaddaa early on, breaking a conversation so you have to deal with Atton and Bao-Dur without 3rd party member, which can be hard.

4) Cyan Lightsaber Fix Is this included/superseded by TSLRCM 1.8.4? Not needed 14) Fixed Proficiency / Feat Icons Is this included/superseded by TSLRCM 1.8.4? As stated, not needed. 15) Disciple Medibug Fix 1.0 No longer downloadable here at deadlystream? No idea what the deal was with that mod, but the issue in question has been long fixed within TSLRCM itself. 16) Kreia's Fall What does this do? 17) Kreia's lesson Same, what does this do? 18) Nihilus/Visas scene Third what does this do? There's already a Visas/Nihilus scene in TSLRCM, so I assume... no. But really, what does it do? 20) Roleplay in 103PER & 304NAR Can someone confirm this compatible with TSLRCM 1.8.4? Also; what does this do? 30) Improved AI Can someone confirm this compatible with TSLRCM 1.8.4? As long as you use just the .2da not the other files, as also mentioned in the compability sticky.

Nope, it's something messy with the workshop priorities. Obviously non-Steam versions won't experience that.
-
The mod's author never got back to me, so I unapproved it (rather than deleting) considering it's "fixing" something already fixed, a quirky download to be sure.

I recall reading somewhere OE used a low-res version of the shuttle, so taking the higher-res from the A package from KOTOR1 and adding it would upraise it, and that was the fix. Long ago and fuzzy memory though... might have been about something else.
-
Pretty sure it ALWAYS uses mainmenu8x6_p.gui, regardless of the resolution used. Probably a messup from OE, though I haven't noticed much difference renaming the other files such as loading the game. _x is indeed x-box files. However, the main menu is hardcoded not to go higher than 5, anything above returns 1 (Sion). Which seems rather stupid, since there's another background tier, but that's how it works. That's why with TSLRCM there's a copy of 06 named 02, and the associated scripts have also been modified appropriately (02 was never called for ever in the original game). 05 actually returns the LEADER, rather than the main character actually. So without cheating you can get HK there from the factory, remote, Atton... and if you do cheat 5 as main menu anyone can appear there really due to the Dxun Tomb or Nar Shaddaa sections etc.

Ugh, who approved "Disciple Medic Bug Fix" again? I've asked the author what he changed since, well, I fixed the healing line (and a couple 50 others or so) already, so depending what they used, it might unfix a TON of stuff. @ Darth Tyren: You know there's a section in the read-me that explicitly states what's modified for H4F to work, right? It should hold all the information you need for the questions asked last few posts. And did you seriously splice all dialogues to have female versions for the player? Hats off to you if you did, that must have been an insane amount of work.

Problems with certain TSL patchers
Hassat Hunter replied to bendarby24's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
It's all the same .exe file, so just use one that's working for you for all other mods. Then again, if one file is corrupt, more may have been in the same container. -
Did you follow the instructions for M4-78EP in it's sticky Steam discussion post?

KOTOR Youtube Videos
Hassat Hunter replied to VarsityPuppet's topic in Knights of the Old Republic General
Well, I can advise the TSL playthrough series of Geordyjones, using TSLRCM 1.8.4 and M4-78EP. They're concluded though. -
Don't get your hopes up... remember those teams promising they would just finish up a KOTOR3 for us. Yup, all dead. To no-one's surprise really. Expect these guys to follow suit. I wish we'd thought of that WHY... Why did we make TSLRCM instead of $$$ :/ Ahum... Dang, I agree with Dr. Evil? This truly is an unique day.

Changing party .utc file with TSLRCM and M4-78 EP
Hassat Hunter replied to peacy66's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
You should be careful though, as some .mod's DO use the same filename as the general one, and thus be overwritten even if they might be different. I know Hanharr isn't (otherwise he wouldn't be in the TSLRCM override ), but a few others are. And since several modules use modified versions (001, 002 as mentioned) you also need to modify these or they appear in their old appearance for those instances (generally cutscenes) which can be very jarring. -
Impressions of M4-78 EP (Version 1.2 only)
Hassat Hunter replied to Sith Holocron's topic in M4-78 Enhancement Project
You mean the droidparts (I tried to enrich them with sub-quests) or the start of the player character going about? And CS-36 VO will be replaced. -
It's pretty weighted in KOTOR1 against the player, but doable in KOTOR2. Yes, there is luck, but the right strategy (saving cards for example) seriously helps giving you an edge that mere luck does not. And it was added in 1.8, slightly influenced by the TSLRP (and by the game development notes). Of course, I couldn't really alter the EH walkway like them so had to totally cheat with the camera to hide they're sitting in air, but good to hear that it all worked out in the end

Bugs and minor inconveniences with M4-78EP (1.2)
Hassat Hunter replied to Sith Holocron's topic in M4-78 Enhancement Project
Yeah, that's known. @Wonder: M4-78EP is for the English version of TSL(RCM) only.
