  1. If you consider Jar Jar being weak-minded, then yeah. If his clumsiness and general attitude was all an act, then I don't know if I would consider him weak-minded. It's an impressive feat to fool the entire jedi council and the senate.
  2. I just came across this theory on the Star Wars subreddit and it's rather mind-boggling to me. I kind of want it to be real... Any thoughts?
  3. Why does skinning take such an unbelievable long time?

It's the tax for OCD. ;)

  4. Okay. Modding break over now, back to business.

  5. Haven't been able to do any modding last month due to a broken laptop and now classes have begun again. At least I backed everything up...

  6. Nah. They got the extra months from LucasArts. In this demo you can hear them say that it'll be released in february of 2005. After management changes LucasArts demanded the game be released on the date they set first, the december of 2004. There was nothing Obsidian could do because they didn't put the new agreement on paper.
  7. Most likely they did that to save time on their short schedule.
  8. The problem is probably weighting them so they can use mouth movements and expressions.
  9. I'm going to take a break for a week or so, but here's a small teaser of my next project (in a very early state):
  10. I'm working on something else right now. However, I did a small test today and I found out that I can add the geometry they need without screwing up the model. So I guess you can send me some screens soon with what face you want.
  11. I released Kenobi today. Today I also put together a fix for the default clothes. It always bothered me that the sentinels and consulars didn't wear the clothing they wore in the character creation screen, so I rectified that. This fix can be downloaded here. I have something else in the works and I've been brainstorming some other things, but I have nothing else to show right now.

  17. All those articles refer to the same source, and I've never heard of that website or journalist. He's basically making a claim without any kind of proof. I call bullshit untill further notice. (Also: no pc=no buy)
  18. Hey thanks! I'm still tinkering with the darkside transitions so maybe I'll use some of your ideas, or make an alternate darkside skin! In other news I've been working on the portrait of at least the default skin (no darkside transitions yet) Just popping a screenshot in the portrait resulted in a way too flat image, so I added some light and shadows which resulted in something nicer. First try: Final result (probably):
  19. Anyone got a good way on how to make portraits?

You could do what I would do (look at my WIP head mod) take a picture up close like that and cut the head out and paste on a white background. Use a gradient tool and make it brown or whatever your desired color is for the background

I make mine by importing the head and body I want into Max, manipulate it to stand as I want it, get a good image of the head and shoulders, import that image into PhotoShop, cut the black background out, and make a new layer with a black to white gradient, which I play ith to get the best result.

  20. Started on the darkside transitions I had a different question: If I want to use TSLpatcher do I have to base it on the appearance 2da in tslrcm or can I just use the vanilla one?
  21. Remodeling isn't the problem, fixing a vanilla bug is
  22. Nothing worked to fix the eyes so far. I've been trying to use Kaurora but that gives me a fatal error upon trying to export a binary model to ascii.
