1 pointInstead of linking to my previous blog about this, I'm going to quote the relevant portions and then move on from there to the new points. One thing that I don’t think I’ve previously discussed is the problem of voice overs of the character Master Vash – the Jedi we’re seeking in the M4-78 materials. Did you know that there are two voice actresses for the lines that appear in the game? When we first see and hear Master Vash, it’s an old video that T3-M4 plays of your Exile’s trial on Coruscant. The voice actress for Vash in this scene is Vanessa Marshall. Vanessa Marshall has played a number of parts over the years, including a few characters in the Extended Universe including: Master Bela Kiwiiks (from SWTOR), Hera Syndulla (from Star Wars: Rebels, Forces of Destiny, and Squadrons) and assorted characters in KotOR2. Here's an IMDB link to her CV. Here’s where things take a turn. Vanessa Marshall isn’t who we hear on the planet of M4-78 though. That completely different voice actress is Kath Soucie. In TSL, she played the sisters of the Last of the Handmaidens (a/k/a Brianna's sisters). In the Star Wars EU alone, she’s played the female Smuggler and minor characters in SWTOR, Mira Bridger and Minister Maketh Tua in Star Wars: Rebels, Mon Mothma from the Star Wars: The Clone Wars cartoon, the Nightsister in Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption, Mara Jade in Star Wars: Empire at War, and the list goes on and on with other non-Star Wars roles. Here's her IMDB link. The new points: Now there's a few things to consider . . . 1) Which Vash voice actor is canon? Personally, I have to say that the real voice actor is the one we hear in the vanilla game. That's the Vash they presumably intended to have all the way through and Vanessa Marshall's line didn't have to be restored. If you disagree, please comment below but read on for now. 2) There isn't enough information left in the game to describe what Vash's fate was to have been as the planet was cut early on in the development. So the character's fate is a mystery. 3) No one here is going to pay for Vanessa Marshall to redo Kath Soucie's lines. So what's the alternative? My thought is via AI models of the voice actress' lines. Have someone - say YouTube's SpeakingofAI - make a new model by providing all of Vanessa Marshall's lines from the game and providing addition material from other games and sources. But should anyone request this yet? I'd say no and here's why: The aforementioned mystery of Vash's fate (or fates) should be considered first. There are other points as well so let's quickly cover them. If she makes it off the planet, might she return to Jedi Enclave? If she does, what does she say during the Exile's trial that ties into the material that she's already discussed. And can she do so while both staying true to the overall themes of the game and not simply repeating what the other surviving Jedi Masters say? Is there a possibility where she makes it off the planet and doesn't return to the Enclave? Is there a way to do so while remaining true to the game's themes? And assuming Kaah lives, does he go with her to points on unknown? If she doesn't make it off the planet, does she have new dialogue? What would she say? As long as we have an AI model that can replicate Vash's voice. would new scenes be written and created to provide the player with a "breadcrumb trail" to let them know they're on the right track and to provide some exposition? I was planning to put these points in the documentary, but I think it's something that should be discussed now so I can judge the audience's reaction to it. I'm also curious to see how feasible you all think this may be. Finally, if anyone wants to bring up other possible uses for extending Vash's appearances or what her new unwritten dialogue might be, please drop your own suggestions or writing examples down below.

This mod adds a Pureblood Sith head and underwear model from The Old Republic MMO, ported to K1 as a selectable player head for female characters. A few notes: A unique underwear model is included, but because of the different way TOR and KOTOR mate heads to bodies, I had to add a neck stump to the torso to elevate the head to the right height. That makes for a pretty nasty transition at the seam line, but it should mostly only be visible in dialogue. Try not to have too many conversations while naked I guess. By default, the underwear is a sports bra and panties. For those wanting something a little more chaste, there’s an alternative modesty patch that provides a pair of shorts/hot pants instead. After running this installer, simply copy and paste the TPCs from the OPTIONAL folder to your Override folder, overwriting when prompted. Odyssey’s lack of proper specularity, much less the advanced (by comparison) graphical features of TOR, means you should expect that the textures will look pretty flat in KOTOR compared to how the originals look in TOR. KOTOR has a maximum bone limit per mesh of 17. This creates a problem for TOR meshes, as adding the eyelids to the face bone array pushes that to 18. I had to drop 2 bones to make it work. I chose the two nose corner bones, as they seemed the least important. I don't know what effect this may have on various facial animations, but probably nothing significant for mute player characters. Differences between how TOR and KOTOR handle animations mean that some of the bone weights are probably too strong, so expect some bad deformation occasionally. Especially when the game uses stunt animations in certain cutscenes. An example of this is the opening cutscene on the Endar Spire, where the eyelashes and eyebrows get a bit carried away. If you notice anything particularly egregious, post a comment with some notes of the specifics and a screenshot/video and I'll see if it can be mitigated. Dark Side transitions are included, but they are relatively mild. I'm not a big fan of the zombie look. 1 pointHi everyone. Sorry to the mods for the double posting and I hope the screenshots are not to much. So before we start a short update: Now witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational batch station. So yeah I learned batch a little which helped producing the progress. In order to give an overview: All saber hilts are updated by hilts from @Kaidon Jorn SLM 2.0 mod (I love it!) All credits for the hilt models and textures and icons go fully to him! Update for Kaidon Jorn's: Revan's Tor Saber 1.1 to use the new blades Ambient light for lightsabers 3d models for blade core and inner glow symmetric lightsaber blade planes with a modifed version of @Sithspecter crossguard saber UV layout. (in principle compatible with his unstable textures) black core sabers are possible homogeneous brightness of the blade (no more brighter blades when viewed from the front) all sabers are fully upgradeable (added black core crystal) (Cross guard are updateable but don't have a unique crystal yet.) Now to the to do: Need permission from Sithspecter to use th UVs. I only modified them but he created them so I need his permission. I hope you are all right man! Need Icons for the crossguard saber Test: Someone to test the .uti with the english version of the game (I am only owning the german version) Test the K1 version at some point in the future Hope that some talented texture artist is willing to update my blade textures with good ones Possible update with a full set of unstable saber blades if Sithspecter gives the permission to also use his beautiful animated textures. Known Bugs: The tip of the blade has a spike which comes from a deformation of the lightsaber planes. This is also present in the original model. I was not able to find a fix sorry. The lightsaber hilts will peak through the blades. (See some posts before. DarthParametric sad it is not possible to fix it.)

File Name: "DV's The Revelation Cutscene Remake V.1" Author: Darth Varkor Works for: Knights of the Old Republic I K1 Restoration Compatibility: Yes. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: For a while, I have been thinking about re-creating various BIK cutscenes within the games, not just for my own personal machinima-related use, but to upload for public use as a mod. Now, as I am fairly limited to what I can do (in-game scripting and some basic animation in After Effects) I lack the skills in software such as 3DSMax to fully recreate some cutscenes such as the various ones of the Ebon Hawk taking off and landing on the various worlds. Anyway, I decided to first have a stab at the infamous 'Revelation' cutscene, providing my take on the scene, capturing all footage in-game. The cutscene plays out fairly similiarly to how the original does, but, with some of my own alterations/additions. Any constructive feedback is welcome. Installation: Simply drag the BIK file provided and drop it in the "Movies" folder located within your SWKotOR directory. You should probably make a back-up of the original movie in-case the mod fails to work for whatever reason, or in case you simply prefer the original cutscene.
