I prefer the second version, but one thing catches my eye; the lightning just seems so disconnected from the other players. Nihilis is making himself a proper spectacle, but perhaps if there was a way, maybe you could have some residual lightning animate on Mandalore or the PC? Heck, it'd probably have the similar effect if Nihilus self red-mists and the lightning animates on the party in the background rather than at him.

I know what you mean about the cantina murder case, but I can't help but compare it to the Kotor quest and find it sorely lacking. There is ONE way to solve the murder and there are no red herrings or any way to accuse the wrong person. Secondly, there is literally no resolution to the actual crime, but just a (honestly flimsy) way to exonerate Ghent of it; the only evidence is eyewitness testimony (which was proven to be a poor course to follow in Kotor1's version) and a recording that just supports the one eyewitness. Yes, it works, but it has many missing pieces that make it almost detract from the overall story in quality. It almost felt like you "had" to just keep pressing forward to continue the story rather than you making decisions and the story following them. What I meant was that these are just elements that could do with some detail via a small mod, and as per my current lack of quest/dialog modding experience, I was wondering if anyone was taking it upon themselves to create it or discuss creating it since TSLRCM can't.

It seems to me that there are a few plot threads that remain unresolved (The two most notable ones being the Nar Shadaa race contestants not responding to the fact that you "unfixed" the races and the fact that you can't ever solve who killed the Onderon officer in the cantina) Is there a page devoted to creating content that resolves these plot threads that were untouched by Obsidian and therefore aren't going to be changed by TSLRCM?

This might just be a shot in the dark, but perhaps the hyperspace texture is one of the special animation textures that won't animate when replaced in the Override unless they're rebuilt (such as the ritual animation and the Malachor lightning to a degree) Maybe one of the Ebon Hawk retexes put a copy of the hyperspace animation texture in the Override, and that's what's causing it not to animate.

I was having this discussion earlier. I personally think that Disney's trying to keep the company assets, but to remove George Lucas's name from them. Plus Lucasarts has been particularly rude with several of their developers and were constantly pushing for unrealistic deadlines that I wouldn't be surprised if they had bad blood with the developing community. (After you read Free Radical's story and see what they did to Obsidian with KOTOR2, this makes more sense)

Looks good to me. I don't see what problem people were having with the head. I personally think the age progression looks fine. This is what I would imagine she would look during after ten or some odd years. Naturally people would have different structure to their lips and eyes as they progress in age. (Or twil'eks since they are basically the same sans the lekku)

Have you been messing with lightmaps?! If so, I mean kudos to getting them better than the game, but still a lot of work. Do you do them manually or have some sort of program that makes it easier? Actually that mod was done by Canderis. I talked with him on LF about it.

So are you saying that we can't add normal maps unless we can somehow get the engine to accept .dds files? Or is there an easier way... like running a normal map plugin in Gimp?...

Yeah, the sizing is also definitely a problem. Try this, find a texture unspecific to Kotor 2 and compare it with its contemporary in Kotor 1.. There are many, many textures that have been severely downsized between their porting from 1 to 2 including Vogga, the Kath Hounds, nearly all animals, the Mandalorian shuttle, and most of the droids. I don't know why, but some are also ported and color-swapped. By the way, have you checked out my skybox retexture perchance? A lot of the things you're describing, I have been working to do. (But I never touched the entertainment module tiles or signage)

I totally agree with you. The only textures that are better quality than the originals are HD photos transposed onto the models. (which is hit or miss for me) I much prefer to keep with the original look of the game, and just to add extra flourishes of color or visual contrast to make them better. Most of Kotor2's textures are just too grey or lack enough creativity or detail to go beyond looking good from a distance. (This is especially evident if you compare them to the concept art)

Heh.. I just tested it, and I guess my incompatibilities were fixed/or related to a different mod conflict. Thanks for looking into it anyway

Yep, I mean making the Kreia's Robe Collection mod compatible. I had a feeling it'd be pretty tough to work with some of the scripts (The branch that switches Kreia models being chief of them)...
-
I also have been discussing this mod http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Kreias_Assorted_Robe_Collection;66487x and when I think about it, the secondary part of that mod (the part that alters the Telos Station Medical Wing) actually adds a significant amount of replay value for me; it not only adds a quest (with a significantly challenging fight), but makes the module in question actually have a purpose other than to house the Ithorian Embassy. Therefore, I ask if anyone could perhaps make this mod compatible with TSLRCM.
-
Hmm, well, I was just trying to do a more thorough bug report on the issue to make the task easier for whoever actually can fix it. I figure knowing the specific conditions that cause the problem and how it is (at least partially) stopped should hopefully pinpoint its location and make fixing it faster.

If it helps at all, I noticed that the droids will behave normally unless you initiate dialogue with them. The animation overlap persists as long as you remain in dialogue with them. However, once dialogue is closed, they will stop the typing animation and resume normal idle animations (IE looking around) after about a minute.

TSLRCM Compatibility Patch for jinger's Admiralty Mod
Malkior replied to Darth Hayze's topic in Mod Releases
One question, was Revan a sith? ...If yes, that may be your problem. -
A bit more bluntly put than I would say, but I wholeheartedly agree. I sometimes just assume that one of the clone commandos spiked the AI of a whole batch of Battle Droids when they were busy adding Carvanium Also Tartakovsky's Clone Wars made other characters than the clones BA, such as Mace Windu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7A07WNupEXk and somehow even General Grievous... especially General Grievous. Heck.. Why haven't I watched that series more, recently? The whole thing is BA!

I technically posted the pic, because I wasn't sure if the poster decided I was done working on it. I can release it if people think it looks good, I just can't get "FULL HD!" with the terrible quality of the UVW on the model. Does anyone think it'll work, or is there something I need to add further detail/ quality to?
-
Okay. So, in reference to JKG, did anyone manage to get past the first part (the lodge zone)? Or rather, is it impossible to get past at the moment? I love the ideas this mod puts into play, I just hope I can get to see them.

Nope. Happens to me too. The website: www.deadlystream.com only returns a parse error (which is apparently a syntax error on line 1) whenever I try to visit it. Did someone accidentally change the homepage html?

I give up. Could someone please resize the Zakkeg model file to a larger size? I've tried to use my own tools over and over and failed.. I need it to twice to three-times bigger than the current size. (I'm thinking about the size of a rancor or terantatek) It should still fit in its enclosed zone, of course.

@ The Eradicator Alright. Here's some progress with restoring some of the detail to that ship I found out that the higher detail textures were actually from the ship they used for Onderon; so basically, the textures they used for Dxun were a over-compressed version of that (hence, why it is so blurred) That doesn't mean I ported the final image from Onderon, but rather used it for detail. I feel extremely limited with the way that the model makes UVWs, but hopefully this makes it look better at least.

While I like the redesign of Darth Maul asthetically, Maw's LEGS were severed from his body, so there's still a suspension of disbelief.. I mean considering Vader, that he would have survived (albeit uncomfortably) So, yeah... There's no grounding in reality or canon that Maul would actually have survived being bisected that long (or at all). Plus the story of techno-maul was from Infinities where Leia was a dark jedi and various hero characters die, or Tales, if it's not that; and given that both are wholly ficticious or a parody, one cannot accept them as "realistic" in star wars fiction... ~But what do I know, they had people being put in android bodies, the emperor continuously re-killing the death star's lead designer, and a three eyed semi-new emperor who also tried to marry princess Leia. Stranger things have happened.
