  1. I'm pretty sure he is/was a stormtrooper but he defects to the Resistance.
  2. There is a similar mod for KotOR 2 already.
  3. Republic Commando is probably my favorite Star Wars game after KotOR series and Battlefront Series. I too would like KotOR 3 more than anything else. But I would also love a HD re-release of KotOR 1 and 2 but only if it had mod support. And an HD re-release of KotOR could mean they could upgrade the engine so that we can do what we did in TSL and MORE.
  4. http://www.outerplaces.com/science-fiction/item/9530-rumor-suggests-star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-is-being-remade-for-xbox-one-and-ps4 http://dorksideoftheforce.com/2015/08/07/could-we-see-an-hd-remake-of-knights-of-the-old-republic-in-2016/ http://www.cinelinx.com/game-rumors/item/8086-knights-of-the-old-republic-hd-remake-coming-in-2016-exclusive.html Please God Yessssss.
  5. Have the Force Zombies attack Visas and Mandalore. They are nearly completely force resistant and are quite toughened against other attacks as well. You deal with Nihilus while they deal with the force zombies.
  6. Probably the order you just listed.
  7. I think I can see what Kexikus is talking about. In the first version is almost looks like liquid flowing but in a solid shape. But in the second version you can tell its a tank.
  8. Didn't Obsidian get access to all of the game assets (sounds included) from KotOR? I remember seeing a thread regarding unused PC sounds in TSL a long time ago. Perhaps it was what we're talking about here.
  9. ^KJ probably knows more than I, but from my little experience with TXI files and TGA files, I'm doubting they would be incompatible with VP's mod which I believe makes use of all the default colors already present in TSL, so all the default TXIs and TGAs. However I may be wrong.
  10. Sorry. Won't happen again. (Was just trying to lighten the mood)
  11. True... But it's almost become a game. I had another immature idea. We reupload all his videos on youtube, but we get more views on our reuploaded ones. THIS one would be quite the lesson for young Shroom.
  12. I was thinking something like this. Take AIOFPM and use that as the "base" TLK since that one probably adds the most rather than edit. Or at least I would imagine it does. Plus convert it to either xml or txt depending on whichever is best for comparing Take Salk's second since it makes fixes to existing dialogue it would seem logical to convert and compare it first and add the changes to the AIOFPM dialog.tlk. Finally take KP's and convert and compare last. His mod also edits existing dialogue AFAIK, I don't believe it adds anything. So between Salk's and KP's I imagine there would be anywhere from 400-600 actual changes based on DP's comparison and considering that some of those changes might be to the same dialogue. Since the lines I am changing in the xml or txt file are just changes to existing lines, would I just need to copypaste the lines, save, then convert back. Which I imagine would be about 2-3 hours of work. Or would I still have to look at the references like Fair Strikes mentioned even though it's being done in the order I'm doing it?
  13. Can we flag Shroom's youtube videos? I think that's fair game. He'll never know who'd be responsible.
  14. Not a bad idea. I might try that, and if it doesn't take too long I'll give it a shot for all three.
  15. I have not tried it yet myself but I believe you need to install the mod to the Steam's workshop override directory and not the steam's game's directory. I think that answer as been answered somewhere here as well.
  16. This Shroom guy is a menace. I'm curious how old he is. I can't imagine an adult sending that PM to you. I certainly can't imagine an adult with a normal life focusing so much time on actively trying to "destroy" the hobbies of others. He must either be a child or a basement dwelling neckbeard whose social skills including respect and knowledge of consequences never developed.
  17. Hey, was trying to make this great mod compatible with a few other mods and was wondering if you had a TSLPatcher version laying around?
  18. Yah. Its close to 50000 entries in ONE TLK file. Going through the three of them to compare and contrast is time that I am not willing to spend on a game I've played God knows how many times lol. Truth be told I've been wanting to use the 2nd and 3rd mods I've mentioned for quite some time now but haven't been able to since the authors didn't include a TSLpatcher version. I'll try contacting them to see if they're still active. And with some luck and a bit more time, compatibility might be found between these three mods.
  19. lol at first when I saw VP's quote "TLDR" I thought all three of you were blatantly being sarcastic and patronizing Uhuru's post. Then I read it too and realized you mean it just wasn't worth quoting the whole thing lol.... I was a bit ashamed for a second thinking that the guys I'm on the same (general) side as would just ignore his post till I realized what you three meant was honest. Now first @ Uhuru, that was a great post. Luckily Valve can only do that when the mods are of Source games or any games they Inherently own AFAIK. Secondly, I think it's safe to say that we will win this Steam thing in the short run and long run because A) We are a dedicated, persistent community who respect eachother's work and will unite (for the most part) in these situations and B)We can just flag the stuff out of this mother. Thirdly, I once again want to try and bring the point back to mods that truly are in danger of being lost because the author has been absent. I WANT to respect others' work. Now most mod author's I have seen have said ~"Please do not re-upload this mod without the author's consent" and there are some author's who will just say ~"Go ahead and upload this anywhere so long as proper rights are given!" and thats fine and all, to each their own. But I don't think I've seen an author address the possibility that they might be absent in the future for an extended period of time in which their mod might be in danger of being lost in space. And for these mods, I just want them to be reuploaded (and if possible under their name somehow cause I know some forums where admins/mods have access to the creation of "dummy" accounts) and a disclaimer like "THE AUTHOR OF THIS MOD HAS NOT BEEN ACTIVE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME AND AFTER FAILED ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT SAID AUTHOR, THE MOD WILL BE UPLOADED SO AS TO SAVE THE AUTHOR'S WORK AND SO THAT OTHERS CAN ENJOY THE WORK AS PREVIOUSLY INTENDED BY THE AUTHOR. IF THE AUTHOR DOES BECOME ACTIVE AGAIN AND REQUESTS THE MOD BE TAKEN DOWN FOR ANY REASON WHAT SO EVER. IT WILL BE DONE SO IMMEDIATELY"
  20. That's where it gets tricky in my opinion. Try to respect their readme and hopefully it will say something about it.
  21. This might not be as easy as I thought lol. Because all three mods are installed as Overwrites rather than updates to the .tlk file, it means going through the entirety of the .tlk files to find the changes, 2 or even 3 times. I'll look through the link RR (and thanks BTW) but I don't think there is gonna be any easy way to do this.
  22. 1. I reported and commented. I agree with DP that we should not maintain an aggressive discussion with the perpetrator in plain site because it will get unwanted attention. Instead we just have as many of us as possible flag that stuff. 2. HH, what if you uploaded a "better" "improved" edition and uploaded that to Steam workshop instead. With the new version, ProfessorShroom would then be obligated to remove the stolen mod. You could then remove yours as well. But you could leave a page for it, where you explain that the workshop edition of the mod fails to install properly as noted by several in the community (that being us) and then you link to the mod here. It has to do with principle I believe. And the fact that HH is still very present in the modding community and his mods are readily available means that there is NO reason whatsoever for this to happen.
  23. So would that be the same in the case of the PC Response Mod and the Dialogue Fix Mod where the authors released the dialog.tlk file on it's own with the intent to overwrite?
