The computer has been wonky since its return but it is not as bad as before. To be continued, I suppose.

I will post specs of computer once I get home - after I hook up my computer. If I didn't have Amazon Prime, ordering parts to Alaska would be quite expensive. I'll eventually post pictures of the computer but only after I purchase, receive, and install the red LED stuff that I'll be ordering tonight.

Update: The computer is reported to be in good condition! I will get it back tonight. I may get some new LED case lighting (in red) to celebrate. (It's cheaper than buying a new computer, right?)

An IT at work wants a shot at working on the computer that's having issues. As I will be busy for the next for days, I can see no reason why he shouldn't do so. (I wouldn't be able to bring the thing to repair shop in the next few days anyway.) I will keep you all informed via updates on my computer's status.

I will point out that I am incredibly inexperienced at dealing with the insides of a computer which I why I usually buy them pre-made. Having issues with putting in the fan has even lessened my confidence.

Alternatively, if you have bought a new PC (not a Mac) within the last 12 months, give me the details on it, if you love what you have.

The premise is that you have up to 2,000 dollars of pretend money to spend. What sort of computer could I get for that? Assume I have a mouse and keyboard - everything else is up for grabs. I'm not involved with this project so take what I say with a grain of salt. From what I've seen with any mod involving them, voiceovers should always be done last. Two points to consider . . . - Lines change often: Volunteers that record one set of perfect recordings maybe not available down the road so it's best to record a part's lines all at once. Since dialogue (followed by voiceovers) tends to be the last thing to be finalized, that's why recordings tend to be done best when done last. Keep in mind, you might be available all the way through but I'm sure you are not the only part or actor under consideration. - They aren't as important as the other parts of the mod: If you don't have everything else worked out in the model - cutscenes, character movement, etc - then voiceovers recorded early will emphasize that things were rushed. TLDR: Think of voiceovers as the cherry on top of the ice cream sundae. You have to make the rest of the sundae before you put that cherry there.
