[Updated: December 16, 2019] # 00. Disclaimer # I thought making this Legends overhaul as a series would do good for my own pace in modding terms. # 01. Background # Legends. Why does this project called one? First of all, this series had not related at all with the Star Wars Legends; though it was very much inspired by them. It was called as one because I believe this would give me more freedom on how I wanted to shape the mod and its series. Referencing to the general term of Legend [Keep it noted that I have the following explanation edited for my likings, lol] - So, that's all for the introduction. And with the release of Selven and Lyn Sekla, I decided to put myself into a series of mod that will be called as Legends, and this will consists mostly on reskinning and re-building stats and also their attribution of the particular objects and if possible; some new custom items. These will be done as my playthrough goes while I decide which elements that I want to overhaul, while also considering the risk for it'd be game breaking or no. I'm going to take which path with the lesser risk, and which is more interesting for me. # 02. Planning # 1. Yes! Please made them available for K1 also. 😁 How will you manage to use two envmap in one item? I mean, if I follow your plan 100% correctly, you were planning to add some glow meshes [which pointing to the use of CM_Bright] and then use an envmap for the lenses for a bit of reflection [which could be a CM_SpecMap].

Yup! It happens to me also 40% of the time. The only cure I have managed to found was only to use the Force Speed again, and later its period of time will not be extended.- 1 reply

I am curious with how does the image compression works. Is it working like ZIP? Basically "archiving" the image's data, and then extracted the data in-game later? I'm just amazed with how DDS works.

Yes, in fact I also trying to address this matter myself. If it's working for you and the other, then obviously the problem is on my end. Thanks for pointing that out! So, as the head texture that came along with the mod was labeled as "N_DarkJH01.tga", the proper .txi file would be "N_DarkJH01.txi"; with this parameter inside the .txi [you can input the data using only the Notepad]: envmaptexture CM_SpecMap It can be CM_Baremetal too, if you prefer the mask to be more metals actually.

Haha believe me, buddy; I am using the 1.1 version. 😁 "Fill the gap" actually is just a street-term I personally used to simplify how .txi parameters works lol, don't bother it. It is like, "it tries to fill that hole on the texture with alpha channel applied init". I believe someone on this forum had more legitimate explanation about that, I am sure of that. Interesting, to tell the truth I don't have any idea how that possibly works on your end. Anyways, this is how it looks on my end, if I take out the head texture's .txi file with its parameters from the 'Override' folder.

Lots of 😂 In fact, I also have Proper Sith Assassins for K1 installed before this. I run the installer hoping that it will patch the appearance of the former Sith Assassins to the new one, which is from this mod. I suggest you to look into this helpful thread created by @CarthOnasty regarding to understanding .txi parameters. It have helped me a lot through hard times though. 😂 The problem occurred with the 1.1 version of the mod. Haha, yeah I know what happens with the 1.0 I have download it earlier and looking at the mod's folder like, "where are the textures? Is this new invention?". 🤣 My pleasure! We have started from the same place though! And yeah! I suggest you to start looking into using 2DAMEMORY for entering rows particularly to .2das and .utc. That trick is magic!

Haha! Oh my, sorry... my bad! 🤪 Yes, that is certain to happen 'cause I have forgotten that the mod does not include the .txi's files it needed. Alternatively, if you wish; as a token of my apology, I attached some .txis that I hope could be useful to you if you wish to unsee the "recently rubbed and waxed ground and surfaces" looks of your ship. .txis: Just unzip the archive, copy-all and then paste-overwrite [if necessary] all the files to the 'Override' folder. I do really hopin' that helps!

Hi, @eNoodles! I have waited for this cool mod to be released, and I wanted to gave it a review. But as I look through things and actually tested the mod, it seems I can't review the mod yet before these "broken" things are fixed, least on my end: You have missed a .txi parameter [either with CM_Baremetal or CM_SpecMap, or least anything to fill the gap] for the head texture which is the "N_DarkJH01". Not including this .txi file with the mod will result in transparent texture, because it does seems to have alpha channel applied. Not having .txi parameter on the body texture would seems to be OK because there's no alpha channel applied init. It seems the installer is not working on my end. I am sorry to report you that I am having this result: I hope you can address this matter, 'cause I really want to see it works, and then experience the mod! Edit: I am choosing Option 2 which is the "leading Dark Jedi is replaced with a Sith Assassin" option. At times I also check onto my .2das and stuffs, tried to figure out whether this result only occurring to me or anyone else have it too.

Many thanks for the insight! I barely get the picture of how TSL's commoners are looking, and how it utilise their placeables. I have seen the footage of the Easter egg. And I think something cool can be made out of this. 😁 Edit: But I'm not 100% sure, I'll see when I actually got to that point.

Dang, DP... Thanks for getting through trouble doing that! Yeah I have heard of the Easter egg. Again, many thanks for that! Have to admit my lazy ass-brain-brain-ass assuming only from the sample; which is n_twilekf001.utc, that the file is unique even though I do concern about the filename that is too generic compared to tar03_selven031.utc whom Selven has. And I don't even bother to looked through every damn module after... Ah, glad to hear that 😂 Got it.

Yes, this mod does include a twilek's .utc and it's n_twilekf001.utc to be exact. This was into my concern, in fact while developing this I have checked whether or not that the change affect one or Twi'lek dancers across the room [those two dancing with Bith musician], and it does not. Which led me to believing; the result of using the custom variation and not replacing the "N_TwilekFxxx" which linked to the appearance of female Twi'lek does the magic there. Another thing that makes me confident of this will not break the rest of female Twi'lek NPCs is the fact that the Name and Tag rows inside the .utc does point to Lyn Sekla, so I kind of believing that this is unique in a way. But as you point at this too, I do put my concern, and with a ongoing playthrough I'm [not] hoping to find any cause. Also for the meantime, I'll wait for any feedback regarding this concern. Thanks for sharing the thoughts! Yes, I see the point; but as for now my skills regarding to editing Modules is zero-to-none lol, I'll choose to hold off and pray that there would be no cause as a result. 😂 🤞

In 3956 BBY, she heard that Bib Surool was stuck on Taris due to the Sith quarantine, and auditioned for him as a dancer. # Background # "But if you're ever traveling the galaxy and you see the Starlight Entertainers performing, stop by and ask for Lyn. I'll see if I can get you some free tickets". Spoiler-alert!: Actually, there's no correlation between the above statement and this texture overhaul, sorry for that lol. This overhaul was started because when surfing through mod's section in DeadlyStream, I saw an amazing Twi'lek's texture by @Dark Hope that leads me to think "Ah, this could be something!", and when I saw the description, DH also seems to wish that the texture could be utilized as a character for a story. So, I made up my mind to use the texture for Lyn Sekla; which I believe she would need a custom-unique appearance upstaging the rest of female Twi'lek's in the planet. The Force works right through me; I have the permission to use the assets from DH, and then the project was started then. # About this Mod # Significant change to the appearance of Lyn Sekla, using the base texture of "Girl with Ritual Tattoos", a high-quality texture mod created by Dark Hope which later I have them edited to fits this concept of the 'Legends' series of Lyn Sekla. [Updated in v1.0.1] # Final Remarks # Critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and any feedbacks for the next update are very much appreciated- PM me at deadlystream.com [ebmar] or just write a public message on my feed. Want to report that drag-droppin' those files you attached [but I do delete 1 parameter inside the LDA_leaf02bump.txi; which is the isdiffusebumpmap 1. I chose to use the specular one] to the 'Override' do work on my end, and did not throw an error on loading. Here are some screencaps: Those are nice works, @Salk!
