Are you referring to this comment?

My intent with that comment was sarcasm, something I don't like as a modder are bug reports were the problem is very much a bug but people still ask me about it as if I sat down and went "Ah, the NPC's head is rendered invisible in-game... alright, better upload a screenshot of the working head and publish the broken head for you players".

I mean no hostility towards you, I actually didn't realize dofleini was reporting the exact same bug as you as he had failed to mention the Rodians so that's on me.

You're not overstepping it at all, I always appreciate bug reports... I just don't appreciate it when people write their report bugs as if I intended for the bug to exist.

but I think the issue with the NPC Diversity patch might be in the [GFFList] section in the changes.ini file in the Diversity folder - I changed the instances of "Replace1/2/3/4/5" in this section with "File0/1/2/3/4" and was able to install the patch without reporting any warnings or errors. Using a test save, the appearance of the rodian clerk in the Tattooine Czerka office matches your picture above.

This is probably the worst case of a typo I've ever done with a mod, and now that I think about it I hopped on my computer one night with Czerka Redux 40% finished... that same night I had finished and released Czerka Redux, so it doesn't surprise me this happened (and it wasn't intended as mentioned above 😉)

The bug has been fixed in the latest update, players of the Diversity Pack shall now be able to enjoy the NPC Diversity Pack with Czerka Redux!

Ah, yes, your version of the NPC Overhaul. I did try Kainzorus Prime's 2014 version all the way back in 2016 but had multiple missing heads from the new characters that were inserted!

Unfortunately I am playing as PFHC02 currently and didn't want to see a pallet swap for the Bek doorwoman. I suppose if PFHC01 is not used in GoF for an NPC I would definitely give these two a spin along with your patch for restoration elements that mesh with K1CP.

Whilst my opinions have not changed in regards to the Czerka Protocol Officer's head being generic, I did go ahead and change Sharina Fizark's head so that she uses another generic head.

With the new direction I'm taking the mod in, there's a high chance I'll be covering Sharina again in one of the future optional installs (Right now I've added Player Head Commoners).

great job bro, this looks very promising, I would like to ask you a question, you see I tried to port the content restoration mod for the xbox kotor 2 and I even supported some corrections in the version that ended up being released, if I would like to try to port This mod is also for Xbox, should I also try to port the community patch? Or do you think it would not be necessary? Greetings and sorry for my bad English, I use translator

This mod is for Kotor 1.

I don't have an Xbox so I wouldn't know how to mod it or make mods for it. As the Xbox version is very unstable when it comes to modding, I can only suggest buying a PC and modding Kotor there.

The K1 Community Patch is a big mod, even if a modder were to get it working on Xbox I bet the game would lag down to to a snails pace.

Is there any reason this mod in particular requires this? None of the others I've installed that use HP have this issue.

HP was made to replace the TSLPatcher, it has far more capabilities and fixes various bugs present in the TSLPatcher that forced modder's to use convoluted workarounds to implement certain features. But these new features that make installation faster for players and easier for modders requires certain permissions which chokes Windows Systems if the directory is in the C Drive.

If you want to install Jedi from the Start without the HP errors, you have to try what the HP developers have explicitly recommended. If you change your game directory to the D Drive and you're still getting errors, that means Jedi from the Start is the problem and darthbdaman needs to release a fix patch update. If it ends up working after changing the directory, it was the HP's inherent flaw.

HoloPatcher mods can't install properly if the swkotor directory is in the C drive.

    From the K1CP page:

    Quote

N.B.: With the advent of version 1.10.0, K1CP has migrated away from the use of TSLPatcher and switched to HoloPatcher. This allows for additional patching functionality and resolves some bugs encountered with TSLPatcher. HoloPatcher is also multi-platform. The bundled installer is the Windows version, but Mac and Linux users can download the appropriate installer for their system here.

It is highly recommended that you do not install the game on your system's C drive, especially in Program Files. Windows can have permissions issues when trying to install the mod to a C drive destination. If you are using the Steam version of the game and have installed Steam in its default Program Files location, we advise creating a new Steam Library on a different drive and moving the game there via the game's Properties pop-up in Steam.

You'll need to look up how to change your game's directory from "c:\games\steam\steamapps\common\swkotor" to "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\swkotor" for it to work properly.

Why would I intend for an error to appear in the installer?

Thank you for the report, I shall investigate this error when I get the time.

Not whilst I am focusing on Kotor 1.

When I've done everything I can for K1, I'll consider making K2 parodies of my K1 work (like a TSL NPC Diversity Pack).

Will this mod have any problems with this one for rodians: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/2229-high-quality-aliens-rodians/

In theory, it shouldn't cause any issues with HQ Rodians. The Rodian/Czerka hybrid uses a new model/texture separate from the main Rodian model/texture, however, if you use HQ Rodians the Rodian/Czerka hybrid will still use the vanilla style Rodians. This won't break your game, but the Czerka Rodians won't be High Quality as per Stormie97's mod.

If you don't want this, simply don't install JC's Czerka: Business Attire for K1 and don't install the Business Attire Addon from this mod. You'll get all the features of Czerka Redux without ever touching the Rodian NPCs.

How was this not compatible with the most recent version of K1CP and your own NPC Diversity Pack mod?

Duros: Armed & Ready relied on files provided by K1CP 1.9 to work.

K1CP 1.10 removed said files and I never realized until I went to install it, without those files this mod doesn't work so the latest update added those files to Duros: Armed & Ready.

    These things unfortunately happen :(

Are they meant to be sisters, then? I mean, they're one loading screen apart! Kind of contradicts your aim to reduce the cloning effect, no?

(Gurney and Igear not being the same young black man model was certainly needed though!)

The NPC Diversity Pack is intended to be a "base" mod, you install this mod first and you'd install other NPC mods on top of it to further enhance the reduction of the cloning effect.

I have a mod called the Unused Head Restoration Pack which is planned to be updated soon, you can install that mod to give the Protocol Officer and Tanis unique heads.

Have you seen Galaxy of Faces? Sharina Fizark will have her own unique head in that mod at some point.

Most of the randomization has been really good but I'm not sure why you made Sharina Fizark outside the hunting lodge have the same Asian head as little miss protocol officer!

Contrary to popular belief, the Czerka Protocol Officer head is not her unique head. That head is labelled as "Tatooine Asian Female", a commoner head variant that was intended for Tatooine but are occasionally used outside of Tatooine.

Found a strange bug. One of the Black Vulkars that's meeting with Davik's Agent in the Lower City of Taris now appears as a human wearing a combat suit. He also has the same face as Davik's Agent.

    This bug has been fixed!

For everyone else, I've also fixed the Marl soundset bug. I've always avoided the bug because I was correct: Marl is set to the male Jedi Council soundset and he always was, however, the fixes done to the soundsets in RC-K1CP gave the male Jedi Council soundsets all the female sounds instead of the male sounds.

RC-K1CP has been updated to correct that bug.

Start a new game and warp to the Star Forge from the Endar Spire.

This won't jeopardize your already existing save files. If the Cheat console is disabled you can activate it via the swkotor.ini (tutorials online exist for this) and disable it once you're done.

Can you open the command console and type "warp sta_m45aa"? That'll teleport you to the introduction scene with the Jedi on the Star Forge, I want you to do this and see if the Sith Stalker spawns there. Do note, not all of the Dark Jedi are meant to be Stalkers but if you do see Sith Stalkers then this might be a problem exclusive to Tatooine.

Tried combining the mod after Using Dark Jedi use JC robes and Sith ambush and while the middle Dark Jedi voice changes - he is still in the Cloaked robe skin, not Sith Stalker... Could there be a reason why it goes this way?

My guess is that, out of the mods listed, you didn't install Sith Stalkers last.

Is this on Tatooine? I take it you have two Sith Assassins and a Cloaked Dark Jedi who has Sith Stalker VO.

You could fix this by reinstalling the Sith Stalker mod. By reinstalling it as the last mod of your build, you'll overwrite the Cloaked Dark Jedi in your game who are supposed to be Sith Stalkers thus fixing the problem. You will have double appearance lines in the appearance.2da but in-game that doesn't matter.

Gonna go full hog now and enjoy the game with most of your overhauls, skip KSR 2022 and rely on JC's and VP's gentler lightsaber edits. So after CP install order should go...

    1.) NPC Diversity Pack

    2.) Female Republic Soldier Restoration

3.) Ladies of The Sith Army

    4.) Clothing Pack

    5.) Unique Sith Governor

    6.) Duros Armed And Ready

    7.) Heart of Beskar

    8.) Loot Overhaul (last?)

9.) Then I'll round out with Leilukin's Twi'lek Male NPC Diversity and JC's Czerka Business Attire

That looks like a workable build to me, though maybe install Loot Overhaul before Heart of Beskar. There shouldn't be any problems between the two but if you install Loot Overhaul before then there won't be any chance of Loot Overhaul overwriting any of HOB's loot (very very unlikely, but it's a precaution I would take).

Hey, thanks for the work! New to modding KOTOR. I tried to install this mod, but i got the tar_m09ab.mod error. I see that the mod was updated recently and you mention it includes tar_m09ab.mod, but I still get the error.

    Here is what I get:
\par \cf3  \bullet  Warning: Unable to copy file "tar_m09ab.mod", file does not exist!
\par \cf4  \bullet  Error: Unable to locate archive "D:\\Games\\Star Wars - KotOR\\modules\\tar_m09ab.mod" to modify or insert file "footlker001.utp" into, skipping...
\par \cf3  \bullet  Warning: No valid footlker001.utp file was opened, skipping...

Will there be an issue if I ignore this error?
    Thanks!

    It should be fixed now.

I take it you're using Kotor's in-built screenshot system? You should really find a better method of screenshotting.

On the Steam version you can press F12 and it'll take a screenshot instantly, there is no need to time it. Surely there is a 3rd party software you can use to make screenshotting easier for you.

Is it necessary to install your female republic soldier restoration after, when this seems to add them in on the Spire at least?

Female Republic Soldier Restoration has 2 install options.

A vanilla install that adds default Female Republic Soldiers and Soldiers with new VO and an NPC Diversity Pack install which only adds the new Soldiers with the VO.

If you don't install FRSR, the Diversity Pack will add Female Republic Soldiers but they won't speak, they'll only exist in the background. Installing the FRSR's Diversity Pack install will add additional Diversified Female Republic Soldiers who'll speak with AI VO.

Found something interesting. When I installed KSR 2022, Brejik's loot went back to default other than changing Bastila's lightsaber. And when I went into KOTOR Tool to give Brejik the Mandalorian Blaster, I noticed that in-game, he initially attacks you unarmed and then pulls out a vibroblade once Bastila attacks him. If you run from Brejik, then he'll get his Mandalorian Blaster out. This might be an issue with K1CP or RC-K1CP as one of those mods causes Brejik to get into a fighting stance when he says, "Vulkars, to me! Kill this woman! Kill the swoop rider! Kill them all!" He's supposed to pull a blaster on you during this dialogue but instead he gets into an unarmed stance.

This bug is confirmed to have been caused by the K1 Loot Overhaul, I will investigate why this is happening.
