  1. Never expected to be doing this, but as one-half of a homework assignment for Game Design class, I just ended up writing about the different functional and cosmetic attributes that you can modify in TSL's character creation.

  2. Wait, you don't think the track on Telos is already hard enough to beat? That's the only one I never did get past. (Or are you referring to beating with upgrades?)
  3. Really? There's a way for him to not die? For my two cents, I think Peragus is a good place to start out and get your first few level-ups - I also enjoy the general atmosphere there, actually. I don't really understand why people would want to skip it any more than I understand why people would want to skip Taris.
  4. You got stuck, you say? Could you explain in more detail? I never encountered any issues that affected gameplay...
  5. I did the test run for compatibility. The only issues I found were a couple of appearance glitches in BOS:SR itself which may or may not have anything to do with K1R.
  6. Doesn't seem to me to be certain by any means. And I'm not entirely sure I would particularly enjoy that anyway, even if it did happen. I always found prequels-Anakin to be rather annoying.

  9. I has success. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, FS! Next question: Does anybody know how I would find out what textures belong to specific armors? (ATM I'm specifically looking for Cinnigar War Suit and Sith Battle Suit.)

      If you and others think it would be entertaining, I could start over and record a video version instead. Only did most of Taris so far, which took just 2 and a half hours, so not too much loss.

      You could use video to punctuate portions that just text won't provide. Small clips. There are plenty of LP's out there. Doing a mix might be more unique. However, the choice should be yours as you're the fella doing it! ;)

  11. Awwww, you beat me to it. There are definitely some bits that make sense, as a sort of theme. For instance, a lot of the Sith locations have the same music tracks. In addition, the theme that plays on the temple summit and in the Taris hideout is labeled so that it seems to be Bastila's theme, so that makes sense as well. And of course, several of the areas with shared themes only appear a little bit (or at least the themes will), so they're probably less of a concern. The Taris Apartments/Anchorhead fight theme comes to mind - each will only show up once in the base game. Just my two cents, but I kind of like the lack of ambient music in the Valley of the Dark Lords. With just the sound effects, it makes a pretty nice atmosphere for the barren valley. And you DID miss one. The Upper City Apartments and Hidden Bek Base share the same theme.
  12. Hrm. I could have sworn that before when I exited and then later loaded the 2DA up, the changes had stayed... but now they're all gone. Changed to running as admin and will now save the .2da in a separate folder, then move it to Override, so that I can make sure the copying works. Will report on my success or lack thereof when I get to testing it.

  15. Point taken. Here's a version with my changes in it - mainly to modell and texl columns, as well as to Handmaiden's modela and texaevil. I am not using the Steam version. I'm new at this - please bear with me.

  19. That actually was not a change that I was making - that was already in place from a different mod. At the moment I don't believe that any of my changes are present in the 2DA (I changed them back). My problem is this: I would change the values in certain model and texture columns (based on the 2DA guide posted here) for specific character appearances (certain party members or the PC appearances), based on the values I found in the other columns, but there was no difference in the game when I tested it out. For example, one quick test I did after I realized that there was a problem was to change the model value for clothing to that of one of the armor classes - absolutely nothing was different in-game.
