Jinger's Admiralty Mod Carth not showing up
DarthVarkor replied to Todd Hellid's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
In order for Carth to show instead of Cede you simply need to state at the start to Atton that Revan was lightside at the end of KOTOR 1, gender doesn't matter. -
Need a tutorial on AniCam (for dummies)
DarthVarkor replied to DarthVarkor's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Had a quick read over (haven't had time to properly follow it yet) and downloaded the test files, when I talk to the Handmaiden, her first line of dialogue "Yes?" shows the camera angle in your screenshot, so that definitely works, but out of curiosity; there's no camera movement? From what I gathered from your post, in your test file was there suppose to be movement or did your files simple move the camera to be like that for simplicity sake? Either way thanks for the help so far, I'll definitely try to get round to following this through properly in the following few days! -
Need a tutorial on AniCam (for dummies)
DarthVarkor replied to DarthVarkor's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Wow, thanks for this! Looks very in-depth and I'll be sure to go through it all in about 10-13 days and post back here when I'm back off of holiday abroad. Thanks again! -
Need a tutorial on AniCam (for dummies)

You hear that? That's sound of everything you just said whooshing over my head So, I'm makaing a new AniCam "camera", I'm confused as to what you meant by "though the camera wasn't showing anything because of its position"? Do you mean the coordinates I entered from the readme were the coordinates already in game for conversations? Thus my shot not looking any different? I'm sorry but I'm still failing to understand this :S Could I create a new anicam file and put in random numbers (which of course would give me a completely random shot) and then follow your steps you listed above? Would that work? Thanks! -

DarthVarkor replied to DarthVarkor's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Whoops, I may have :S sorry! For the position all I did was follow the tutorial in the readme, but if that was the position for the in-game camera angles then that would make sense. would you mind giving me some random numbers to put in to test a shot? I don't mind how weird/bad the shot looks just as long as I know I can actually do it myself haha. -

So 1200 for the first red line, and 1000 for the other two? Alright, I'll give it a go. -

Hey, Fair Strides! Thanks for taking the time for this and including pictures. Really appreciate it. I followed everything to the letter on here with some dialogue for Bao-Dur, made sure I saved, but after in-game, nothing changed when I spoke to him and triggered the appropriate lines. Screenshots are here, I followed each step in order: Overall DLG properties with camera model name: http://postimg.org/image/twmj0z8qz/ First red line: http://postimg.org/image/qsgx1aya3/ Blue line: http://postimg.org/image/ywy7xizgr/ Second red line: http://postimg.org/image/ic4vu05xn/ I've clearly gone wrong somewhere, but as I said I'm an absolute n00b at this. Any idea what's wrong? Thanks for your help so far! -
Hey everyone, I've been trying out the software "AniCam" lately, that not only I believe TSLRCP team used, but also a few KOTOR Machinima makes out there use, being one of these filmmakers I would like to try this out myself. Following the readme, I've become stuck on the dlg_editor section, I've followed the instructions on creating a template camera shot using the software, but am now struggling on how to integrate it into dlg_editor and into the game. I've tried putting it in amongst dialogue with Atton, but must clearly be going wrong somewhere. Could someone explain in simple terms what I have to do to get it working in-game? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

I'd appreciate a copy of this mod too if you wouldn't mind, HelloWeasel!

KOTOR II Machinima Trilogy
DarthVarkor replied to DarthVarkor's topic in Knights of the Old Republic General
In case anyone is interested, the second film is now out, you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0s5xIshQJg Feedback is more than welcome. ~DV -
Hey everyone, firstly, I hope this is in the right section, if not, my apologies. Anyway, I'm sure everyone here is aware of Kaydon Sentry's amazing KOTOR Movie Trilogy, and the subsequent other iterations that have followed, including AB Director's (unfinished), Revan 411's, DarthYcey's, and now, mine. Like 411 and Ycey I'm adapting the second game into a trilogy, giving it a fresh, darker and more psychological approach with tons of new content and characters. Episode I, "Return of the Exile" was released in July this year, and you can watch it here: Episode 2 (title to be announced) is currently around 40% done, and is looking great in my opinion, I'm taking lots of feedback into account to make sure it is a worthy sequel, this includes full moving lips for all characters, a shorter, snappier length and better pace (RotE is 2 hours and 35 mins, Ep2 is looking at being 2 hours & 15 minutes including credits), and better writing for the new characters, that's not to say I feel RotE was bad, simply that there are some clear improvements that can be made and I'm working hard on making sure they make Episodes 2&3 better films overall. Feedback is more than welcome, and I'm always on the look out for new ideas, suggestions, and voice actors!

Hmm, that sucks, seeing as there's a plethora of soundtracks from the Star Wars films and the EU, well in that case I'd have to say either of the two tracks I linked imo, I can't think there'd be any royalty free Star Wars sounding music out there. Oh and speaking of the skyboxes for the mod, while this doesn't affect the exterior Nar Shaddaa landing pad area, for inside the Council chambers itself, I downloaded a neat mod that changed it from a dull background of a landing pad to a backdrop of Coruscant itself with all the buildings. I can't remember the exact name of the mod though :S I used it in my first KOTOR 2 Machinima film, see here: http://postimg.org/image/t7necpxej/ Perhaps this background change could be fully incorporated into the mod somehow?

In terms of music for the cutscene, I would have to say either this soundtrack: or this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__gLIyeQYDU, preferably the segment from 1:30-1:45, depending on the length of the cutscene. As for the actual cutscene, I think the idea of a landing pad like everyone else is suggesting works best, as like someone said earlier, I doubt the Republic would let any random person dock outside the Jedi Temple. Question: Would the music in the cutscene have to be from KOTOR 2's soundtrack?

Ah of course. I'm using Sony Vegas Pro 10 and Audacity for all visual and audio editing.

Hey guys, I'm relatively new here. I'm an aspiring filmmaker currently adapting KOTOR 2 into a three-part trilogy (see the first trailer HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5NLVWrQ-uU ) using new content, characters, music, camera angles, etc to create a unique experience. I'm in current need of some technical help regarding the HK units' filter for their voices, the problem with the SWTOR HK audio is it doesn't come with the robotic sounding filter, so I need to add these myself. Could anyone point me to the right place on these forums where to ask for help? Thanks!
