Then again it might also explain how he got from Malachor to Mustafar. Haven't you played TSLRCM already?
-
So you guys just need a fixed KreiaSeppuku model for TSLRCM, I presume? Man someone should really release a fixed models pack. We could include such model fixes as Kreia's green fix, something akin to svosh's collars, the HI poly tin cans, the female jedi master robes. Other things akin to that.

By doable I mean that I understand basically how to mesh models (before my tutorial it even more rare of a feat). Looking back, it's not the greatest tutorial. It could use some better explanations and I've learned quite a bit since then. Another Way to Mesh Bodies At any rate, a few updates: Layne Staley 2.0 As many of you might have noticed, I released the Layne Staley head, but I realized how much the UVMap is messed up on the head. So I went to great lengths to reconstruct his hair and I think the result was way better than the old version. I also was lazy and didn't bother to include sunglasses, so you guys might like this new version better. Visas Unmasked I've had the head model constructed for awhile, just patiently waiting for RedRob to finish up the skins. He did give me a 'preview' skin to see how it all looked and I have to say I'm liking where he's going with it. I'm thinking that making Visas' headdress an equipable item would be a cool addition to this mod. I also said I'd try my hand at a Kurt Cobain head, but my attempts have been... less than successful. Part of the struggle is finding a hairstyle that I can make with existing dangly hair or just have it be solid hair (partly why I chose the slicked back hair for Layne Staley versus say his dreadlocks, or his short/curly hair phase). Any ideas you guys have to offer would be nice.

So what exactly is the compatibility issue then? From what I understand it has to do with animations, but the way I fixed them, there is no possible way that animations could have been screwed up in the process.
-
I think I know what needs to be done. It basically has to do with the Kreia model that TSLRCM adds with the custom animations.

Thanks guys. It seems this is coming across as a "VP's losing faith in himself" thread, but that's not the case really. I'm just a little disillusioned with the simple mistakes I've been making in regards to mods recently. Checking back on mods that I thought were soundly configured to install, and seeing that there are major issues kinda threw me off. So thanks guys for your support. If there are any installation recommendations though, that would be nice to know. I know installing FFM before stoffe's force powers seems to work best, for instance. Any other comments?

Malachor VI: An Ending Mod
VarsityPuppet replied to VarsityPuppet's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
If nothing else, it will be compatible with TSLRCM 1.8 or whichever version is out at the time. -
No, not your fault. It's mostly my dissatisfaction with Full Force Mod.... my inability to read the loot script didn't help though, lol. Look I know I'm not really a bad modder, but I want you guys to tell me if there's an issue that's caused by one of my mods. Apparently FFM isn't compatible with stoffe's High Level Force powers which is a big let-down.
-
It's not just that. Apparently Full Force mod was full of bugs and nobody told me.. or Team Hssiss really.
-
It's come to my attention that many of the mods I released over the past 2 years were... how do I put this... Buggy. I don't know what it is - might be modders fatigue, or it might be that I've been out of the loop, or it might be that I really am still a n00b. I don't know, but I've lost faith in my modding recently. Anyways, if any of you guys are aware of any terrible bugs or complete utter shittiness, please report said shittiness in this thread here.

Hmm, I thought there was one in 1.7 Looks like yet another thing I need to change.. sigh. My modding's getting sloppy, isn't it?
-
I thought Stoney had included one ever since the latest TSLRCM?
-
-
What, UBM ain't cutting it for ya?
-
Do you have TSLRCM installed?
-
Stop lying, Hasssat. That's exactly where we get them from. Now pull some Bao-Dur VOs out of thin air, we've got a death to restore!

Official KotOR1 Restoration Recruitment Thread
VarsityPuppet replied to ZM90's topic in KotOR1 Restoration (K1R)
I remember populating a dock module for a little bit. Then I got busy doing pretty much everything you could imagine. -
Quan Drayen sounds like Nicholas Cage

*Staley and thank you. Thus, one of the best, not THE best.
-
Just mention it to Doctor, I'm sure he can do something about it. In fact, by posting this, I'm sure it caught his attention. Otherwise, you might try posting this in the Site Feedback section.

In my spare time between Malachor VI, I like to work on some of my other smaller mods, just to keep things fresh. I've been dabbling in custom head-making recently, and I'd like to show you what sort of goodness I've been cooking up recently. K2 Bastila Ever since I discovered the 'doable' method of meshing models together, I've been meaning to find some practical use for it. Armored robes weren't my thing, and most of the tests I'd done recently weren't that great either. I decided to put some robes on Bastila to give her a much needed make-over for TSL. And here are those results. Bastila1 Bastila2 Bastila3 What originally inspired me to do this actually was a new hairstyle for Bastila. There is already a mod that does this, but I wanted to try something different. As it turned out, giving Bastila Tae Plae's haircut was riddled with many obstacles, but I got it to work finally, something I'm quite proud of. I'm still contemplating how to install this - should I overwrite the old Bastila appearance or should I simply add this as a new one? My plans for using this generally involved Bastila being in the Telos Carth cutscene (for full body and head) or maybe just the head for the holocron on Korriban and in T3's holorecords. Layne Staley Back in my beginning modding days, I wanted to make heads that resembled people I admired. I realized very soon that I couldn't do this by reskinning, so I set out to learn to model heads. I tried with numerous people, but I have to say that this is the most successful by far. For those who don't know, Layne Staley was the frontman for 1990's rock band, Alice in Chains. He's regarded with having one of the best voices in rock. Unfortunately, like many rockstars, he was terribly addicted to drugs, and you could tell he was slowly dying over the years. On April 20th, 2002, (my 12th birthday) he was discovered dead in his home. This is my attempt to honor his likeness, and with my birthday/his death anniversary coming up, it only seemed right. THIS PLACE IS DEAD...let me fix that ;P
VarsityPuppet replied to Extreme110's topic in Introductions
Glad to see you here. A word of warning though - don't jump right into a game overhaul. Release a few smaller mods first to establish your 'credibility' and get a feel how to do stuff here in the Kotor world. Then, once you feel you've got the hang of it, if you'd like... THEN shoot for the big one. Other than that, Welcome!
