  1. Argh, that's a good point... That's not something we can really compete with. Not worth all of the extra work, to compete with a similar sort of installation here
  2. What a piece of crap that guy is. Hassat Hunter, I would just upload a version of the mod. Make it crash. EDIT: Also, the continued upload of stolen mods on Steam I see is really starting to make me angry... What a piece of trash community.
  3. Hahaha great idea man. This would actually make a really good NPC for the game.
  4. I'm guessing that specifically checks to see if you have any of the original items (checking by the item tag). Since this is designed to not use the original tags, I will probably have to modify that script. I should probably post a list of known bugs for this beta...
  5. Gmax is terribly buggy, and back when I used it, dragging a texture onto an object almost never worked
  6. No, there is no further mod activation. If you're using Steam though, you have to install it to the steam override directory.
  7. I believe that would work... otherwise delete anything named g_w_lghtsbr, g_w_dblsbr and g_w_shortsbr and that should fix it for now I think
  8. Are you using the Steam version and if so, did you install RCM via the Steam Workshop?
  9. Great to hear! Again, I apologize for being unable to address concerns and bugs.
  10. The fact that we are even discussing this is a joke. 1. Vaporware is not something that's in danger of disappearing. Vaporware is something that was in progress, and never saw the light of day. Examples would be: TSLRP, Malachor VI and some versions of Sleheyron. Doesn't really prove anything, but it's been annoying me. 2. Steam Mods are NOT WORKING. Only very basic mods (other than RCM and M478) should even work at all. This goes back to the whole "Oh, I can probably just copypasta the files from tslpatchdata into my override and it will work!" line of thought. Even if you do use the installer, the files generated oftentimes modify EXISTING files in the override. You can't upload these mods atomically to the Steam Workshop and expect them to all work in conjunction without crashes. 3. KotorFiles is NOT gone. GameFront is alive and well. Since these mods don't work on Steam, and GameFront is still around, THERE IS NO REASON THESE SHOULD BE UPLOADED ANYWHERE WITHOUT THE EXPRESS PERMISSION OF THE AUTHOR SINCE THE MODS CAN STILL BE ACCESSED. Download them, save them yourself, but you don't have the right to distribute the work of other people. You'll never be able to reason with pieces of crap on the internet... /endrant
  11. "This door has been sealed due to a security breach and will not open." Boom. Problem solved.
  12. Got that MonoDevelop so I don't have to rewrite my whole Duplisaber installer from scratch to support multiple platforms

  13. No, you cannot. You must point the installer to the steam workshop directory itself. Off-hand I'm not sure what the directory is since I don't have the steam version, so you might need to do some Googling as to where that is. Ultimately, it may just be better to install the old-fashioned way.
  14. Yeah, I apologize, that is a known issue.
  15. You guys did see SithSpecter's post from earlier in the thread, right? For the purpose of going to find old mods, it's still around, but for the average user, it'll probably lead to an increase in traffic over here.
  16. The way back machine should cover some of the old mods. We should archive though
  17. Hasn't been favorably looked upon for several years now.
  18. Speaking of mobile devices, I highly recommend Game Dev Story. There are very few games I've enjoyed on mobile, but that's one of them. Escape Velocity is also a good play, and is sort of a pre-cursor to Star Citizen. For Mac and Windows, though it's a pretty old game. 2000 I think...
  19. Barf! Better to make a native installer... Then again, if it's up to me, it might never get done
  20. Some more screens, showing off the superfluously high resolution + beautiful retextures from Xarwarz, Vurt and... I don't remember who did the Polar Plateau retexture :/
  21. That was after a fresh install onto my Mac at 3 AM. I've got a repo with RCM installed, just gonna plop it right in.
  22. Got to play around with it a little bit (super exciting!) No controller test yet, but here are some screenshots in 2880x1800 at full graphics:
  23. Regardless, getting that Steam update should rekindle some life into the modding scene. I guess now would be a great time to get going on that one mod I was doing... if only life was so kind atm...
