A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic and Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic 2 Author: N-DReW25 1.0.0 Release Date: 29.01.2022 Installation: Consult this readme's description and the mod screenshots on Deadlystream to select which fix option you'd like to install. Open the folder which contains your fix option and drag or copy the texture/textures within and drop or paste them into your Kotor 1 or 2 Override folder. Recommendation from the mod author: Do NOT install the Caucasian Head option with the Tanned Hands option. Uninstallation: Delete the N_CommKidF01.tga, n_commkidm01.tga and/or N_childFH01.tga files from your Override folder. Description: The Children NPCs in both Kotor games have a few graphical inconsistencies with them, especially the female NPC. The ideal fix for these problems are entirely subjective with multiple solutions for the same problem, this mod is a "pack" of different fixes which will allow you to fix the bugs the way you see fit. The fix options: Bug A: The female child has a tanned head with white hands, thus resulting in mismatched skin. Fix 1: Caucasian Head, thus matching the head with the hands Fix 2: Gloved Children, covering the male and female hands with gloves thus hiding the hands. Fix 3: Tanned Hands, thus matching with the head. Bug B: The female child NPC uses the same hand texture as the male child, thus resulting in the female having masculine hands. Fix 1: Smooth Hands, this fix will smoothen out the hand textures. This option also has sub-options with smoothed Tanned Hands and a male version of the smoothed hands. Known Bugs: This mod shouldn't have bugs but if there is Just PM me on Deadlystream. Incompatibilities: Would be incompatible with any mods which modify N_CommKidF01.tga, n_commkidm01.tga and/or N_childFH01.tga. This mod is fully compatible with Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords. Permissions: Do NOT claim credit for this mod and do not use assets from this mod without my permission. Thanks to: Sith Holocron: For his feedback on my early mod screenshots. Bioware: For such an amazing game Fred Tetra: For Kotor Tool Stoffee: For TSLPatcher Everyone who downloads the mod! Citadel Station is facing more issues than just a lack of fuel. Just getting to your morning shift in bay control can be hazardous -- they forgot to vacuum-seal all the hangars! In each hangar you can find gaps all along the tops of each of the entrance-side walls. Screenshots don't really do it justice. So let's patch it up! To Install*: Download the 7z file and extract to your override folder. For the Steam version of the game, this can be found at "Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II\override". You can unzip a 7z file using Archive Utility on macOS or by downloading a free program such as PeaZip for Windows/Linux. *Note: I have since created a mod fixing up models for the entirety of Citadel Station, and included the original hangar fixes available here. I recommend downloading that mod instead for your greatest convenience . To Uninstall: Simply remove "Citadel_Hangars_Repair" folder from your override folder. Included files: -201tel01.mdl -201tel01.mdx -201tel06.mdl -201tel06.mdx -201tel10.mdl -201tel10.mdx Compatibility: Users should expect full compatibility with any other mods, so long as they do not also affect/replace the above files. Acknowledgments: Thanks to Fred Tetra for making file extraction easy with KotORTool and Symmetric, Purifier, Ndix UR, and seedhartha for making importing to Blender simple using KotORBlender. Try this to swap Malak's appearance to his jawless one before the final sentences -- [K1]_Jawless_Malak_[End-Game]_BETA.7z Apparently it's fine as it is using the default jawless model/n_darthmalak02 -- as it already refer the regular model/N_DarthMalak as the Supermodel. Granted, the cape will clips with the floor but that to expected as it will require custom animations like Sithspecter's Revan's Flowing Cape mod -- which not something I could tackle. The script will work with a saved game inside the module so one don't have to re-enter looking for its first time. I don't provide the source with the archive but here's one to look at -- Nope, and I didn't plan working on one [said animations] in the meantime.

Thanks for your answer. I understand now why you have two different ranked uniforms (37) even if the clothes used are the same. And I understand also why you are using placeholders for uniforms that your modification is not using (35 and 36). I don't need you to do anything here but thank you so much for offering. And I think your decision was correct: better not mess up with cutscenes that show something that is contradicted by some changes made by a modification. Internal consistency is important. Best of luck for your next textures!

Hi, Salk! About the k35_enc_captain and k35_enc_lieutnt npcs.(they spawn after getting the Star Map on Korriban with the option of killing all the students in the Sith Academy). If I remember correctly I did g_a_clothes37 with textures which has Lieutenant rank for female body and Captain Rank for male body because k35_enc_lieutnt has female model and k35_enc_captain uses male model. There was no point making Korriban "Yellow" lieutenant and captain ranks for both genders. Regarding Male and female Sith Uniforms 35 and 36 situation was similar at first. This textures were intende,d for n_sithcomf001.utc and n_sithcomf002.utc npcs on Taris base which use female body model. But eventually I faced the problem that both of these npcs are also used in the cutscene when you leave Taris on the bridge of the Leviathan , so I had to cut this idea out (changing them was gamebreaking). So this two textures are not used in the mod and have only female variation. Male versions of these uniforms are like "placeholders" there was no point in making new textures if there are no characters for them to be used on. That being said, if you want/need Sith Uniforms 35 and 36 for male characters I can fix them for you.

Yeah it's possible to switch his appearance with the fade-in/out script that's currently available on the cutscene's setup. I think one can try porting the animations from the default model to there [or only change the reference of the supermodel]. I did working on a mod [not much been achieved though other than the appearance - as it stands now] that use the jawless model as well, and had the cape animations working -- Pretty sure it's sufficient with the regular-custom model -- we'll see about it. Edit: My post a bit late than JC, but yeah -- this one's define whether or not stunt model's needed --

Hello, Heyorange! Thanks for your splendid work on the Sith uniforms. I have a question about k35_enc_captain and k35_enc_lieutnt. They both use the same uniform (37) depsite having different rank. Was it intended? Cheers! PS: One more thing: could it be that the insignia in the Male Sith Uniforms 35 and 36 is wrong? Shouldn't it be like the one used in the female's uniform 35 and 36 (which look like dP)?

Tested male Red, Zhar, and Xor. Xor has a broken ini, it tries to install PMHT06_XorD.mdl and PMHT06_XorD.mdx but the actual files are called PMHT06_Xor.mdl and PMHT06_Xor.mdx. Red has one fewer DS transition than normal, stages 2 and 3 are identical. If that's intentional you might as well reference the same image files twice in the 2das rather than have two identical files with different names. Probably not a bug, but Zhar sticks out as having wildly-different skintones for his face vs his limbs.

Started testing the males, and they're all busted. The 2das you have included in the male installers are the ones from TSL, not K1. The column headers are different, so they straight-up aren't installing correctly. In subjective feedback, I'd recommend having one instance of TSLpatcher with multiple install options (setup lists) rather than 20 separate installers, to make it easier on yourself if nothing else.

@ironavenger15 @Mutilator57 Sorry for the late reply. Troubleshooting is always difficult from afar, but I would guess that you are using a wrong version of MDLedit. I use version 1.06b for compiling the ASCII. With this version the ambient light works. Please try this version and test if the results in ambient light being shown.

It is, and you should. Open the console, 'adddarkside 10', head and portrait should darken. Repeat 3 more times to cover all the stages.

Hi, How did you modify the fade.gui file? Unfortunately, the mod lacks files for 3440x1440 and 3840x2160 and I would like to do that myself, but I do not know how to do it.

To fix the saber workbench issue, a crystal UTI needs to be added to the mod. The resref for this is the "template" referred to in upcrystals.2da. Additionally, the longmdlvar therein needs to point to the hilt UTI, which is j_juhsaber01 in this case. For future users, @Stormie97 will need to rectify this with an update to the mod. Fortunately, thanks to a handy tool by @VarsityPuppet, it's possible to fix this for anyone that has already installed the mod (at least for those on Windows). Grab the ZIP below and extract it somewhere. Copy the upcrystals.2da file from your Override folder, paste it into the extracted PATCHER folder. Run the BAT file and follow the prompts and it will patch your 2DA with the corrected values. Copy and paste upcrystals.2da back into your Override folder. Also make sure you grab the UTI and TGA from the FOR OVERRIDE folder and paste those into your Override as well. Stormie97_Juhani_Saber_Patch.zip

Over the years, a large number of mods have been created for TSL. While most of the useful and/or still relevant mods are available in the Download sections of DeadlyStream and Nexus (currently most popular Kotor I-II modding resources as far as I know), some of them are not and thus have become lesser-known, rare or even obscure. I have seen many old mods of varying quality and made notes about interesting ones in the list-reminder. This list can be useful for people, who are tired of their builds and want to see something “new”. In the recent past, several mods have been rediscovered or recreated (Xcom's Grenades Mod, Blue GUI for TSL), so I won’t mention them. Also, I think mods like Ultimate Saber Mod (USM) or Dark Harbinger are fairly well known, so I’ll focus on more obscure works. 1. "TSL Improved Loading Screens" by SpaceAlex This mod is similar to Concept Loading Screens 1.1 mod by Darth InSidious, but unlike that mod, when there is no appropriate concept art, original loadscreen is replaced by processed high-resolution screenshot. I think these two mods will work best in tandem: some concept art loadscreens are present only in Darth InSidious work, while others are in SpaceAlex mod, some concept art looks better in the first mod, some looks sharper in the second. In particular, I can highlight load_105PER, load_205TEL, load_512OND, load_901MAL, load_EBO1, load_EBO3, load_EBO4, load_EBO5, load_EBO6. Note: you need to rename files load_EBO1.tga, load_EBO2.tga, …, load_EBO6.tga to load_001EBO.tga, load_002EBO.tga, …, load_006EBO.tga for them to work. Screenshots: Link: https://www.moddb.com/games/star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-ii/addons/tsl-improved-loading-screens 2. "Force Fashion I" and "Force Fashion II" by Jonathan7 These mods replace robes that use padawan model and add additional based on movie designs, KOTOR and Tales of the Jedi comics. They also give new robes to companions and jedi masters. It was stated that these mods are incompatible with TSLRCM, mainly due to party .dlg files for acquiring robes after they become jedi. But I guess, it should be possible to simply drop skin files to Override folder and obtain them via cheat codes (Jonathan7 kindly provided all item codes in readme file). There are many interesting robes to choose from; my favorites are Anakin RotS, Obi-Wan ANH, Luke RotJ, Nomi Sunrider, Malak’s Jedi Robe and Darth Sidious RotS robes. Note: item code for Brown Leather Robe (Sylvars Robe) is a_robe_25, not a_robe_55. "RGB 6 short robes pack" by RGB This may be one of rarest TSL mods (that are worth seeking), it seems to disappear completely from the Internet and unlike other RGB’s works, it wasn’t saved by wayback machine. Which is a shame, because these short tunics skins have a great design and are well made, plus they give interesting bonuses. However, thanks to the amazing community members the mod has been rediscovered. The readme file didn’t have any redistribution instructions, so if you need it, message me on DeadlyStream or Discord. Alternatively, there is Tunics for JS-ZS Armors mod by 90SK. Screenshots: More screenshots: http://web.archive.org/web/20060511130116/http://www.pcgamemods.com/mod/12805.html 4. "The Mandalorian Knights" by The Source (MacCorp.) Adds a small shop near Tienn Tubb on Nar-Shaddaa that sells good-looking shiny heavy armors. The shop is nicely decorated, although new merchant has only bare minimum of dialogs (so don’t hope for extensive backstory or sidequests there). A curious detail: from a certain angle, “The Mandalorian Infiltrators” female armors resemble costumes from Power Rangers movie (2017) for some reason. Screenshots: Link: https://www.gamefront.com/games/knights-of-the-old-republic-ii/file/the-mandalorian-knights 5. "Malachor V" texture mods by xediixarwarz and OriionZ There are plenty of mods that replace Telos and Harbinger textures with alternate versions, but I have not seen many works that reskin Trayus Academy. In fact, the only released packs I remember are Malachor V 2012 and Malachor V 2013. While some design choices are questionable (didn’t know that sith were fans of pink color), these packs offer a nice variety over boring grayness of vanilla textures. "Lonna Vash Mod" by Sikon With this mod, the player can meet Lonna Vash on Korriban and talk to her without having to visit M4-78. Listed as incompatible on TSLRCM page, but several users confirmed that in reality it just reverts Korriban to pre-TSLRCM state (no HK-50 encounter there and no few restored lines). Link: https://www.gamefront.com/games/knights-of-the-old-republic-ii/file/lonna-vash-mod 7. "Force Power For TSL: Lightsaber Floating" by Darth333 Most of Darth333 mods are available in the Download section on DeadlyStream, but not this one. It adds a new force power that allows to summon floating lightsabers like certain character. In V2.0 the force power upgrades automatically upon usage (although now you can only learn it on Korriban, this will probably happen quite late in the game). Note: Regarding v2.0, I read that due to a bug, only one lightsaber appears after upgrading force power, but there is an instruction from zbyl2: “The mod itself needs a small fix to work as intended though. First of all, install the mod as usual. Then open Spells.2da from your Override folder and find the lines FORCE_POWER_D3_SABER_1 to _3. Remember their line numbers or simply keep the 2da file open. Next, go to the d3_saber_source folder found in the mod file and copy the d3_saber_force.nss somewhere else to edit. (You can also edit the one in the source folder, but I prefer keeping the mod files intact.) Open it using Kotor Tool's text editor or any other editor of your choice and replace 997 with the row number of FORCE_POWER_D3_SABER_1, the two instances of 998 with the row number of FORCE_POWER_D3_SABER_2 and the two instances of 999 with the row number of FORCE_POWER_D3_SABER_3. Once that's done, compile the script and place it in your Override, replacing the script already there.” Screenshots: Links: https://deadlystream.com/topic/7174-request-tsl-floating-lightsaber-force-power/?do=findComment&comment=76772 and https://deadlystream.com/topic/7174-request-tsl-floating-lightsaber-force-power/?do=findComment&comment=77458 8. "Final Touch" by oldflash Calling Final Touch obscure might be inaccurate, but nowadays this mod is rarely mentioned, despite being very famous in the mid-2000s and almost winning the title “Mod of the Year” on LucasForums. Sure, some things from it don’t look as cool as they did 15 years ago, some just didn’t age well, and overall scale of the mod makes it incompatible with major modern projects. However, it can serve as good modder resource (for personal use). What I mean is that experienced user can find files with interesting elements and manually insert them into Override folder. For example, things like new model for remote (https://deadlystream.com/topic/4800-black-reskin-of-bao-durs-remote/?do=findComment&comment=49900), handmaiden model without hood (works with some retextures, Instruction here https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?showtopic=5498592/#entry69250461), headgear, weapons or reskins of Visas robe (shroud will require manual recoloring if you wish it to match robe’s color). Screenshots: Link: https://www.gamefront.com/games/knights-of-the-old-republic-ii/file/final-touch 9. "Telos Polar Plateau Sidequest 1.2" by GeorgNihilus (aka FrantFire) Adds new sidequest that allows to return to Telos Polar Plateau and Atris’ academy. The mod is well-made: the story isn’t long, but has several possible conclusions, there is new location (though, it reuses existing module), NPCs have animations during dialogues. In version 1.2 the player can actually infiltrate and rob the academy, this would be a good opportunity to use invisibility belt and stealth gameplay, but this is not an option, sadly. There is no reliable info about compatibility with TSLRCM. Files ‘grenn.dlg’ (the dialog from 221TEL) and k_222area_enter.ncs script are likely to conflict with TSLRCM, but even then, they should undo only some changes to Battle of Telos modules (221TEL, 222TEL). Note: version 1.2 has a bug with missing NPC and westar pistol. Since original patch is no longer available, I made ‘custom’ fix. Before the installation of the “Telos Polar Plateau Sidequest 1.2 mod” copy files "changes.ini" and "ff_skeleton2.utp" from the fix into the folder "tslpatchdata" of the mod, replacing existent files. Then install mod as usual. Screenshots: Link: https://en.ds-servers.com/gf/ff-telospolarsidequest1-2-zip.html The unofficial fix is at the end of the post. If any of the mentioned mods are actually available in the Download section of DeadlyStream, then please post a link in the comments. ff_telossidequest1_2_fix.zip
