This mod replaces the vanilla and/or the installed placeables texture with the specularity-tweaked vanilla placeables texture. # Background # The primary motivation of this mod is to get the most of vanilla textures, by tweaking their alpha channel to have them showing their best shades and reflections. # About this Mod # Inside this version are 13 specularity-tweaked vanilla placeables textures. # Final Remarks # This mod performs at best with the vanilla state of the game, particularly with area textures. As all the assets inside this mod are using vanilla textures that was extracted using the KotOR Tool. Critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and any feedbacks for the next update are very much appreciated- just PM me or write a public message on my feed. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod. Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do! Installation: I suggest you to manually removes any TGA/DDS files inside the 'Override' folder that are using the same name with the files that comes with the mod first. Because if they're on TGA/DDS, the installer can not patch them. But if they were on TPC or you are running a clean install playthrough, you could just run the installer straight-forwardly [TSLPatcher.exe]- as any files with the same name will be backed-up automatically. Uninstallation: Remove the installed files from the 'Override" folder or replaces them with the files stored in the 'Backup' folder [if generated]. Compatibility: Will not be compatible with any mods that using the same name for the assets. This mod perform at best with the vanilla state of the game, particularly with the area textures. As all the assets inside the mod are using vanilla textures that was extracted using the KotOR Tool. Redistribution: You can redistribute this mod or re-release it on any website; you don't have to ask for permission, but I do appreciate all the good intention. Also, if you are planning to use the assets from this mod to a mod you will be developing, don't forget to give credits to BioWare & LucasArts, as inside this mod are their base assets. Anyway, a credit to me is always a welcome, welcome. Credits: DarthParametric for the past-present knowledge which allows me to create any customs for the game. Fred Tetra for the 'amazing' KotOR Tool. bead-v and ndix UR for the MDLedit. ndix UR again, for the tga2tpc. stoffe and Fair Strides for the TSLPatcher setup. All streamers on DeadlyStream which indirectly involved on this project that I couldn't possibly mentioned one by one. All modders either active or inactive. DeadlyStream for a place to hangout and to discuss. -eb

I don't think it was a mistake. It was a conscious decision, just a poor one. You can see they did kind of the same thing with PFHA03, but it's a lot less egregious there because of the reduced number of planes and the darker hair colour.

Given what an absolute mess the UVs are, I'm not sure it is worth the effort to try and salvage something out of it. I'd just use a different head.

This modification returns Ordo's Repeating Blaster for Canderous. It is unclear why this blaster was lost to them. Now Canderous will again be its owner. Blaster by default will be equipped in Mandalore. The idea of this modification belongs to RevanFanMan, thank you for it! Information about weapons. It is slightly weaker than the Mandalorian repeating blaster. Required skills: blaster rifle Damage, energy 3-17 Small Arms 38m Critical threat: 20-20, x2 Properties: Modifiable, small arms. The language of the modification is the same as that of your kotor TSL

That and novel also talks about Bastila and her child (son I think). K2 can give the impression that Revan immediately left for the Unknown Regions, but really, there's nothing to indicate that. And the Knight story is the continuation of the whole Revan story (from the standpoint of what happened when he came across the emperor at the end of the Mandalorian War in the Unknown Regions). That story goes K1 -> K2 -> Novel -> Knight story (with Taral V and Maelstrom Prison flash points Pub side -> Boarding Party and The Foundry flash points Imp side before or after Chapter 2)-> the rest of SWTOR to KotET end (doesn't matter if anyone didn't like the story, that's the story).

Yes, Satele is Bastila and Revan's descendant. This is acknowledged directly in-game in one of the later expansions.

Yeah, the model is a mess. In addition to the overlapping UV islands, the hair is essentially lots of triangular meshes that clip through each other. Maybe you could flatten the hair and render to texture to add alpha masks, but I don't think that would help much. Also, any attempt to remodel the head would have to deal with all the smoothing errors generated by the modeling tools, unfortunately.

I'm still subbed to SWTOR. Have been since early access. The complaints on the forums are like they've pretty much always been: mostly folks that don't know what they really want or need, nor understand what it takes to make those things. To me it's been worth it. I'm a single player person myself, and while I enjoy group stuff, I love the nice balance between the two. I play STO as well, and while I like the F2P model of that game, the rest doesn't even compare to SWTOR. STO doesn't keep me engaged for more than a few minuets if there's an event. SWTOR on the other hand can keep me engaged for hours every day. Your questions about the Exile are kind of answered in the Revan novel. And the Exile being female was confirmed two years before SWTOR was started up, same with Revan.

Been awhile since I had a good role play. I'll give it a shot by bringing in a character from the world that Chev and Tys would remember when I was JM12. Name: Zafir Kita Class: Warrior Occupation: Warrior monk of a subsect of the Shinigami called the Sohei Equipment: The traditional blade of the Shinigami (katana); bow Age: 27 Force abilities: None apparent. Biography: Born to parents that died defending his homeworld and the Galactic Republic, Zafir was raised within the Sohei order of the Shinigami. Trained in the basics to resist Jedi Mind tricks, he was instructed in the religious aspect of the order and was found to be proficient in xenolinguisitcs. He was the youngest to serve as an interpreter for the representatives from the Avalonian system and maintained a pleasant relationship with the Jedi Order. As a warrior, he trained in multiple fighting styles and weapons as well as the Shinigami arts of watching and protecting the Jedi Order. His preference is the traditional blade of the Shinigami order and the use of a bow. Once he tried shooting with a blaster and claimed that it was 'uncivilized' even though the shot was a headshot on the target. Zafir is six feet tall, lithe but muscular. The look most Avalonians have. Dark hair and amber eyes appear hawkish and ever observant for the smallest of details. He wears robes similar to the Jedi Order but is distinguished by the large red and gold over coat embroidered with the sigils of the Sohei order. Around his neck is a headscarf that was once his mothers and he wears the family crest pendant from his father around his neck. His blade is sheathed at his belt and the bow is strapped across his back. Occasionally, he disguises it in a staff when he needs to be more discrete. He is quiet and appears unassuming but not easily intimidated. He will take blustering like it is a compliment and respond politely. He operates from a stance that you learn a lot by what is not said as well as what is being said. He is gentle but can be fierce and show dominance if needed and a ready ear to listen to Jedi youngling woes. He enjoys sparring with the apprentices and likes an occasional challenge from a Jedi Knight or Master. When Voleran was found to be missing, Zafir took the first available ship to Tython to provide assistance. (Hope that works out.)

To get the best out of any gear it needs to be moddable. That means most pieces require an armouring, mod, and enhancement. When companions were gear reliant, that meant doubling the burden. And that also typically meant leaving them with one set of gear and just upgrading the mods. Now you can play dressups to your hearts content. And you don't have to worry when suddenly a story forces you to use a certain companion for one mission. That was always painful under the original mechanics.

With F2P, I think the credit cap is something like 150,000. For Preferred, 350,000. Once you hit the cap, any excess credits get put into escrow, where you can't access them until you resub (unless you buy an escrow transfer). If you have Legacy vault in your ship or in your Stronghold, you can deposit money into a Legacy bank account. I would advise doing this when you approach the cap rather than letting the money go into escrow. You can always draw money back out of the Legacy bank (although still subject to the credit caps). That's why I mentioned buying things through a proxy. You could pay them back in instalments via withdrawals from the Legacy bank. Companions now only have cosmetic equipment. You can give them whatever you want without worrying about it. It makes life a hell of a lot easier for non-subs. In the old days you'd not only have to constantly upgrade your own gear, but also your companion's. And that was back in the main stat days, when every class and companion used different main stats like Strength, Cunning, Aim, etc. To be honest this is one case of streamlining I can get behind.

If you have already been a sub, you'll revert to being Preferred once it runs out. That should be fine for the class stories. The only two things that really put a damper on it is the credit cap and the character cap. You can buy more character slots, but if you want to buy them through the GTN with in-game credits you'll typically need multiple millions per unlock, which is not possible to have on-hand as a non-sub. However since the change to Legacy credit storage, you can kind of side-step it that way if you know a sub that can buy things for you by proxy. Or otherwise sub for a month and buy a bunch of unlocks during that time. You can easily grind through various dailies and so forth to earn a bunch of credits in short order. Also, if you haven't already you should add a key to your account. It will give you free monthly Cartel Coins, even when not subbed. You can use the Google Authenticator app on your phone, or you can use something like WinAuth on the desktop.

I'd do that for the flashpoints, because frankly they are just a tedious slog. But some of the class stories are worth playing through yourself. Even with all the free-to-play restrictions it's still doable, and you can't really complain about the price.

It should be g_w_hldoblstr004.uti in LEV_M40AD_s.rim.

Wow. So, proportionally this texture-model should have an alpha-mask applied to the particular part of the hair? And even the native texture doesn't have an alpha-mask applied. H[w]ow. 😂 If you don't mind me asking, DP; and Salk as the thread-starter- excuse me for asking. How can we identify which part of the hair that'll need fixes? I believe we would need to generate an [IIRC] UV map, and could you describe to us how to generate an UV map for a particular texture? Many thanks for considering this!

I think the TSLRCM compatible Holowan Duplisaber has a few USM Hilts in it You may want to use an alternative to USM, the Schematic Lightsaber Mod or SLM. It is compatible with TSLRCM. As for a patch, I highly doubt anyone would want to patch that mod up as it is a fairly old mod made before TSLRCM and since TSLRCM is the must-have mod no one is really bothered to play an out of date mod.
